  • Sending login form to an open-mesh acess point for authentication with my own RADIUS server

    I have my RADIUS server up and running and a custom external captive portal. But I'm not sure: what information should I send to the Open-Mesh AP with my login form (it is necessary to encrypt the password?, because if I don't use a secret word to encrypt in my network configuration the RADIUS server complaints about it and in the log shows me some strange characters in the password) I don't know what to do with the "challenge" and "md" parameters in my login splash page.     I'm just learning about public key cryptography and I want to make a public key certificate for my web server so that I can use https. My server is hosted on some random free webhost that is practically impossible for anything...and so my question is this: Is there any harm in making my private key, public key, and public key certificate on my computer using openssl and then transferring it to the server? Thanks in advance. Also if there's anything else I'm missing, any help would be appreciated.

    After upgrading 12.04 LTS, my wired connection works but no wireless connection found. I tried many suggestion for wireless connection on Ubuntu forum but nothing works for me. Now, maybe by mistake, I am also unable to connect Internet through wired connection. Now, (1) its says "No network devices available" and (2) in System Settings ? Hardware ? no additional driver icon is showing Please help. I don't know much about Ubuntu.

I think, I could unwrap the mesh while extracting the isosurface then use projective painting. But I do not know how to handle terrain modifications without breaking the texture.   • Upgrades from Beta or CTP SQL Server Software is NOT Supported

    As of this writing, SQL Server 2008 R2 has released, and just like every release, I get e-mails and calls from folks with this question: “Can I upgrade from Customer Technical Preview (CTP) x or Beta #x or Release Candidate (RC) to the “Released to Manufacturing” (RTM) version?” No. Right up until the last minute, things are changing in the code – and you want that to happen. Our internal testing runs right up until the second we lock down for release, and we watch the CTP/RC/Beta reports to make sure there are no show-stoppers, and fix what we find. And it’s not just “big” changes you need to worry about – a simple change in one line of code can have a massive effect. I know, I know – you’ve possibly upgraded an RC or CTP to the RTM version and it worked “just fine”. But hear this tale: I’ve dealt with someone who faced this exact situation in SQL Server 2008. They upgraded (which is clearly prohibited in the documentation) from a CTP to the RTM version over a year ago. Everything was working fine. But then…one day they had an issue. Couldn’t fix it themselves, we took a look, days went by, and we finally had to call in the big guns for support. Turns out, the upgrade was the problem. So we had to come up with some elaborate schemes to get the system migrated over while they were in production. This was painful for everyone involved. So the answer is still no. Just don’t do it. There is one caveat to this story – if you are a “TAP” customer (you’ll know if you are), we help you move from the CTP products to RTM, but that’s a special case that we track carefully and send along special instructions and tools to help you along. That level of effort isn’t possible on a large scale, so it’s not just a magic tool that we run to upgrade from CTP to RTM. So again, unless you’re a TAP customer, it’s a no-no.     com! I was trying to watch FairyTail on my Ubuntu laptop, however, whenever I insert the disc, the CD/DVD drive icon on the Computer pane disappears, seems that it cannot detect what type of disc was inserted. I am running on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and new to these things as I used to be comfortable with Windows doing the things for me. IMMEDIATE HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED as I just borrowed this DVD from a mate and allowed me to watch it until I finish the episodes inside the CD. Many thanks, Vineen

    i installed ubuntu alongside windows 8.1 over an usb drive on my lap top. At first i had problems with boot selection menu and i fixed it with EasyBCD now i have another problem i boot up my lap top and then it takes me to chose windows 8.1 or ubuntu i press ubuntu and it takes me to grub menu now i chose there ubuntu 12.04 and it starts to boot for few secs then my screen goes black and nothing happens few secs later i hear like short error noise and still nothin happens. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    few days ago while ubuntu 12.04 was doing a common system uodate , my laptop turned off in the middle of process , due to bad ac power. Since then , i can only login but nothing else. A message about compiz appear , but mouse keyboard , icons , unity are not working. the only thing i was able to do is a boot-repear ,as discribed in ubuntu's site, but neither this helped.
