• Firefox 4 show tools menu in button interface

  I like the extra vertical space provided by the latest firefox beta (4b9). However, the button interface doesn't give you access to the tools menu. I know that I can either temporarily enable the menubar by holding down the ALT key, but flipping a flag in about:config would be preferable. Does such a flag exist? Edit: I want to be able to access the tools menu from the new button interface like you can with Bookmarks, History, Options, and Help.

  I have successfully setup DKIM with dkimproxy with a self-signed certificate. Now I want to use an existing X.509 certificate.   On one of our IIS web servers the IUSR account suddenly expired or got corrupted, I recovered the password from the IIS metabase (using Cscript adsutil.vbs get w3svc\anonymoususerpass after switching IsSecureProperty = False). I then reset the password accordingly. Now I have to re-key that password on the Directory Security tab of all virtual directories (for the anonymous account) of all web sites on that server. Is there a way to automate this using Powershell? (I have searched so far in vain)

  I downloaded cygwin and ran ssh-host-config. I'm trying to connect using ssh -l micah myserver it then says micah@myserver's password: I enter the same password I use to log into windows and it says Permission Denied, please try again. After the third try it says: Permission denied (publickey,password,keyboard-interactive). What am I doing wrong? Any ideas? Do I need to generate an ssh key on the client and add it somewhere on the server?

• Putty can't connect to USB modem on Windows 7

  I'm trying to configure caller id on a USB modem connected to a Windows 7 x32 machine. Hyperterminal isn't available so I downloaded the latest version of Putty and am using the Serial option. I'm using the modem's COM port details from Device Manager (COM5, 115200 baud), but when I open the putty session it just hangs with the cursor at the top left hand corner. Hitting the Enter key does nothing. Any ideas??

  This may have been asked before, but I'm wondering whether there is a shortcut for navigating to the enclosing folder in OS X (Snow Leopard)? I find navigating Finder particularly frustrating since it's hard navigating back to the enclosing folder (especially when you jump to a folder and realize the back button is disabled)... I'm hoping for something other than Command+Up, since that's the key combination I use to navigate Spaces.
