• How do I send user to a URI on MouseLeftButtonUp?

  This question is for Windows Phone 7. I'd like to send the user to a specific external URI when the entire ListBox item is clicked (not HyperLinkButton). I already have a MouseLeftButtonUp event handler for the item. At this point, I can't find a way to navigate the user to the URI.

  I'm trying to figure out hot to create ItemsControl which contains Button near each Item, clicking on it removes this item from ItemsControl. I'm new to Silverlight|WPF is it possible to create this using just ControlTemplate? I tried to create inherited ListBox with ControlTemplate that renders button near each item and then i was supposed to hook to click event get item and remove it, but I neither found a way to render button near each item, neither how to subscribe to events from ControlTemplate ;-)

  i m binding gridview in asp.net application... i m about to bind some thousand records in datagrid... on RowDataBound event of the grid i need to check if the log in user is authorised to view the perticuler record...so i need to send database request...like wise such other two to three operation requires to send request to database.... about three to four request are sended to database during each row bound of the gridview...is it effective on speed of the grid?

  I'm trying to move the caret in a Flex TextArea to the end after appending some text from my code. I've looked through the reference documentation for TextArea and its underlying TextField but it appears there is no method provided to handle this. One approach I've tried is to set focus to the text area and dispatch a KeyUp KeyboardEvent with the event's key code set to the "End" key, but this doesn't work. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

• Silverlight 4: Any touch library that supports gestures & touch events?

  Silverlight provides only Touch.FrameReported event and doesnt provide any events for the UIElements like it does for mouse events(ex: MouseDown, MouseUp). • Speed up a web service for auto complete and avoid too many method calls.

  So I've got my jquery autocomplete 'working,' but its a little fidgety since I call the webservice method each time a keydown() fires so I get lots of methods hanging and sometimes to get the "auto" to work I have to type it out and backspace a bit because i'm assuming it got its return value a little slow. I've limited the query results to 8 to mininmize time. Is there anything i can do to make this a little snappier?   when we press a key and keep pressing it the keypress and keydown event continuously fires. Is there a way to let these fire only after a complete cycle ,eg keydown and then key up. First I have to do is to create a cursor storing text length, so when cursor changes from 1 to 0 there is nothing to do. My problem is that using the MouseMove event, I don't have a continuous set of points if the user moves the mouse fast enough (if I add each point in a list I can have (10,10) en then (20,20)...)
