the command:
nslookup ipv6.google.com
doesn't work quite well. somtimes it returns an correct ipv6 address, sometimes it returns an ipv4 address.
How can this happen?
[im using OpenDNS]
much thanks for help.
Today, I am suddenly getting the untrusted website error for all Google websites, but not for any other. Internet Explorer gives no such error. Reboot of this Windows 7 computer does not help.
Is this some kind of virus infection that is hijacking DNS resolution away from Google to some spoofer?
How can I resolve this issue and get Google websites working again normally?
If I manually enter a Google IP Address, the page loads correctly.
I really like google translator, but the output strips background images and all other content from the PDF. Is there any translation that converts PDF as-is or atleast close to the original without stripping images etc..?
Thanks
The problem is, both Firefox and Internet Explorer have "Open in New Tab" as the second option.
This has become muscle memory for me by now, to the point that I don't use as often as I want to, solely because I can't open a page in a new tab without thinking about it.
Is there a way to switch the position of "Open Link in new tab" and "Open link in new window", so that I can resume browsing as normal, or am I cursed by this user interface design nightmare by Google?
Hi,
i always like to real-time edit a web page source in the browser and updated as i type, but firebug really sucks, i can't insert scripts in the current page, some times the changes i type aren't updated at all, Is there any robust firefox/chrome extension for that?
i try to temporarely edit/add code to an existing web page in the internet, not a local one
Thanks
What do you use to search folders with 1000s of files. Surely not WinExplorer's default search and filter on Vista? If possible, something accessible from within the explorer shell. Else I'm open to any search tool that's consistent and allows me to perform actions on the search results (eg:open file, view file etc);
I have used Visio to map out my network structure, and have used the export function to create an HTML page that is searchable by IP, hostname etc. This is a really nice tool and I use it often.
However, I would like for users who do not use Internet Explorer to be able to use the search features. What are some alternatives to Visio here? I want to draw a network diagram where objects are searchable.
Thanks!
Iam running Linux Mint on my laptop and i have some (serious) problems with Google Chrome.Randomly Chrome becomes totally unresponsive and iam not able to do anything, except restart the system from the power button.I think it's not an issue with system load and/or RAM,because if i for example open lot of "heavy" programs everything seems to work quite fine. When i only run Chrome with not many tabs at random times it freezes the whole system. The weird thing is that Chrome is not heavily loaded with tabs or extensions.I can't figure out what is causing this problem.Any suggestion?Thank you in advance.
Is there any google chrome extension that lets you manage other extensions? So that you can disable and enable them by just one click
Because I have many extensions installed in my chrome browser but I do not use them everytime. So I disable them, then enable them later using the bookmark with this address:
chrome://extensions/
I use Chrome at home and the office, and I was wondering if there is an extension that will sync not just my Chrome settings and bookmarks, but also my extensions and their settings between computers I run Chrome on?
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=469242bc0eb964d6&hl=en
Is a thread asking for support on it, but nobody mentions if there is an extension created for Chrome doing this, or if it was ever implemented.
I'm using RabbitVCS to work with Google Code, and I just recently started having problems with trying to commit. Whenever I try to commit, it says...
Commit failed
Server sent unexpected return value (500 Internal Server Error) in response to Checkout request for (some file that is involved in the commit. The file it fails on isn't consistent).
I have no idea what is wrong, any help is appreciated, thanks.
Hi
I just signed in to Ovi Files service and it works great on Windows Desktop. But it lacks a connector for Linux. Is there any alternative way to achieve the same.
The goal is to sync your files on the desktop with a webstorage system like Google Docs or Ovi files, Dropbox and so on.
Thanks.
Is it possible to have an online site to see the list/collection of installed extensions of the Chrome browsers installed among my PCs?
Please share.
ps.
I notice that we have the Chrome backup feature which will restore my chrome extensions after we sign in via a Google account.
So I need to see the list online somewhere so that to disabled/remove the extensions that I don't wanna waste time reinstalling.
I have a handful of (content unrelated) sites with decent PRs and I'm considering hosting them all on the same server. I've heard that if you do this, internal linking between two seperate domains on that server may be seen as less "valid" by Google in PageRank terms (since you obviously own both of the sites as they share an IP address).
Anyone have any experience in this? I'd love to save some hosting cash by consolidating, but not at the expense of losing the ability to link my sites together powerfully.
when launching chrome from the windows command line I can pass arguments like so:
...>chrome.exe -incognito
I can also pass a URL to open
...>chrome.exe google.com
Each work fine on their own but I can't get them to work together.
What I want is to launch it with a url, and open in its OWN tab, and hide the url, buttons, etc. like a utility window but I do want it resizable.
I looked at all the other posts on this but can't find the directories mentioned (~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Bookmarks, it's a JSON file.). Being a 2 day Newbie to Ubuntu/Linux I would like to know if the location has changed in the latest version or if not how I locate the directory indicated. I have logged in as root and searched for the folder and can't find it although I imported my bookmarks from a html file so I know that they must be saved somewhere.
Hi all,
I'm wondering if it's possible in Google Chrome (Mac) to display all the available "accesskey" keyboard shortcuts for a web page. What I would like to achieve is something like this for Firefox.
If I want to use CloudFlare to help protect my GAE app via it's custom domain, I still am vulnerable to attacks directly on the .appspot.com domain. How do I mitigate that? I could force redirect appspot.com host requests, such as discussed here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1364733/block-requests-from-appspot-com-and-force-custom-domain-in-google-app-engine/
But I would still suffer the load of processing the redirect in my app. Are there any other solutions?
Hi Guys,
I upgraded to 64bit ubuntu and every now and again (quite often though) i am unable to to type into the search box for google in chrome and firefox, i havent tried other browsers as these are the 2 i primarily use.
Has anyone else experienced this? any solutions?
also i'm unable to drag the slider in youtube (in firefox) to scan through videos.
I use Rackspace CloudFiles CDN. Apparently the way that Akamai works (company that backs CloudFiles program) is that the mime-type is an image and will force the user to download it - I can still use the image within HTML tags like the <img src="//cdn.com/image.jpg"/> but copying it in the URL or clicking the image will always prompt the download
I want to view that image within the browser - this happens with IE, Google Chrome and Firefox.
where it is being stored? Does it store the flv files when I stream videos online?
I go here but all I see is 56 kb files.
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache
my domain has a domain extension that since my country is not supported by Google Apps I can't use that lovely GApps services for that domain.
I need free email service of GApps the most, so I decided to give a go to "Send mail as" feature of a regular Gmail account and add my domain emails to that personal Gmail.
I have a question:
Do I need a SMTP server for my domain to receive email from others?
Thanks in advance :)
