  • Cant access websites

    Recently i have some problems accessing websites. When i try to access it says This webpage is not available. I tried accessing the site through FireFox, Internet Explorer and Chrome. I also tried with using a web proxy but still the same problem. This problem is only in my Desktop PC, all the websites works fine in my laptop Currently i cant access, yahoo.com download.com bing.com proxy.org daniweb.com aol.com and many forums I check with the host file but nothing is blocked in that. Can some one please suggest what is wrong?? Thanks

    I have a class with a custom each-method: class CurseArray < Array def each_safe each.do |element| unless element =~ "fuck" yield element end end end end And want to call block methods on those "selected" elements. For example: curse_array.each_safe.magic.collect {|element| "#{element} is a nice sentence."} I know there is a way to do this, but I've forgotten. Please help! :-)

  • Dns works, can ping, but cannot load web pages in browser

    Yesterday I changed routers, and my desktop computer started acting up. I could ping websites, and nslookup was able to resolve names to addresses, but neither chrome, firefox, nor ie could load any webpages. None of my other computers connected to the same wireless router have any problems. I connect my desktop to the router through a cheap wifi dongle. I did a wireshark capture of the browser request, and I have uploaded the pcap here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7AsPdhWc-SwbTV0bUJLQXo4UUE/edit?usp=sharing One strange thing I noticed was the spamming of ssdp packets. I am not super familiar with networking, but it seems that it is not a problem with the router, as dns works, and so does dhcp (the desktop is assigned an address correctly).     got the jq cycle plugin to work nicely on all the other major browsers, but IE7 just shows the first nested element (an img with a anchor wrapped around it) with no fade/animation. http://alitedesigns.com/ I checked for trailing commas after the custom attributes for cycle, any thoughts on why IE won't play nice? thanks!

  • Registry (possibly) error in Windows 7 : I can not resize columns in any program except explorer

    I experimented with Winbuilder and after some time I noticed that I cannot resize columns in uTorrent, move bookmarks and bookmark folders in Chrome, then cannot resize columns in Comodo Programs Manager - everywhere !!! Fro example , in uTorrent, columns just froze where I left them last time. But Windows Explorer is functioning properly. Where should I search for this problem ?? I think this is something wrong with registry, but regular registry cleaners do not helps. And I cannot even resize a columns in regedit - this is a real hell !

  • windows 7 randomly shuts down. where do I find related log? so that i can identify the error

    during the normal use, windows 7 shuts down. sometimes it happened when I start google chrome and few times during system update. after it shuts down, I turn it back on and I get to the screen, where windows asks me if I'd like a safe or normal start. the shutdown happens regardless if i'm on a battery or cord is there a log that can tell me where the error is? it can help me to further identify the solution. my setup: I run windows 7 on thinkpad x201 tablet. i have upgraded hard drive that worked fine for the last 6 months. the system is dual boot with ubuntu. I have installed some software recently, may be that can be the problem but sophos anti-virus cannot find anything. updates are all up to date.

  • Copy-paste stops working on Windows 7

    Copy-paste functionality stops working after about an hour after each reboot on a Windows 7 64-bit system. Running Google Chrome (with gmail and few other tabs open like Calendar, Reader), MS Outlook (which I don't think has anything to do with the problem — I saw it when outlook was off as well), iTunes (9.1.1.12 if it matters). Would appreciate hints where and what for to look in a registry, and ideas for possible fix. That is not an Internet Explorer problem (I don't even run it) — it happens in all applications. Neither Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V nor context menu right-click Copy-Paste (actually, nothing happens on Copy, so there is nothing in a clipboard to Paste) are working. Drag-and-Drop (where supported) continues working though.

I've mounted a share, like this: //srv1/UserUploads /mount/UserUploads cifs rw,user,exec,uid=wwwrun,gid=www,username=shareuser,password=sharepw 0 0 I then have a symlink here: WEBSVR:/Web/htdocs/public_html # ls -l useruploads lrwxrwxrwx 1 wwwrun www 18 Dec 7 09:18 useruploads -> /mount/UserUploads Oddly, if I ls inside the mounted area, items appear with a capital S -rwxrwSrwx 1 wwwrun www 4077 Dec 30 14:54 prop9.jpg -rwxrwSrwx 1 wwwrun www 4 Jan 12 15:57 test.html And if I bring up test.html in a browser, it works fine, but if I go to prop9.jpg, chrome gives me this error: This web page is not available. The web page at http://10.1.64.100/useruploads/webteam/help2let/prop6-1.jpg might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. More information on this error Below is the original error message Error 100 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED): Unknown error. Has anyone seen this behaviour where the binary files (images) arent displayed, but html/text is?

I've managed to connect to a class without any issues, but what I really want to do is connect to a property of the main window. Now this visually appears to be exactly what I needed. The problem is that I can't get toggle the checked state when I click on the listview item. Any solutions?
