    Here is my query, select t1.dSyllabus_id,t1.dBatch,t1.dFilePathName, t2.dDegreeName,t3.dDepartmentAbbr from tbl_syllabus as t1 join tbl_degree_master as t2, tbl_department_master as t3 where t2.dDegree_id=t1.dDegree_id and t3.dDepartment_id=t1.dDepartment_id and t1.dCollege_id='1' and t1.dIsDelete='0' and i get applying limit , select t1.dSyllabus_id,t1.dBatch,t1.dFilePathName, t2.dDegreeName,t3.dDepartmentAbbr from tbl_syllabus as t1 join tbl_degree_master as t2, tbl_department_master as t3 where t2.dDegree_id=t1.dDegree_id and t3.dDepartment_id=t1.dDepartment_id and t1.dCollege_id='1' and t1.dIsDelete='0' limit 0,5 i get , I dont get the first five records why?

    I have a table called 'highscores' that looks like this. id udid name score 1 1111 Mike 200 2 3333 Joe 300 3 4444 Billy 50 4 0000 Loser 10 5 DDDD Face 400 Given a specific udid, I want to return the rank of that row by their score value. i.e. if udid given = 0000, I should return 5. Any idea how to write this query for a MySQL database?

    Working in a medium size project during last 4 months - we are using JPA and Spring - I'm quite sure that JPA is not powerfull for projects that requires more than CRUD screen... Query interface is poor, Hibernate doesn't respect JPA spec all the time and lot of times I need to use hibernate classes, annotations and config. What do you guys think about JPA? Is it not good enough?

Here is an example of the type of query I want to run: SELECT Title, RANK FROM Item INNER JOIN CONTAINSTABLE(Item, Title, 'FORMSOF(Thesaurus, "red" NEAR "wine")') AS KEY_TBL ON Item.ItemID = KEY_TBL.[KEY] ORDER BY RANK DESC ....But I get the error message: Syntax error near 'NEAR' in the full-text search condition 'FORMSOF(Thesaurus, "red" NEAR "wine")'.

    Using Oracle 11g release 2, the following query gives an ORA-01790: expression must have same datatype as corresponding expression: with intervals(time_interval) AS (select trunc(systimestamp) from dual union all select (time_interval + numtodsinterval(10, 'Minute')) from intervals where time_interval < systimestamp) select time_interval from intervals; The error suggests that the datatype of both subqueries of the UNION ALL are returning different datatypes. Even if I cast to TIMESTAMP in each of the subqueries, then I get the same error. What am I missing?

  • Sockets, Threads and Services in android, how to make them work together ?

    Hi all, I am facing a probleme with threads and sockets I cant figure it out, if someone can help me please i would really appreciate. There are the facts : I have a service class NetworkService, inside this class I have a Socket attribute. I would like it be at the state of connected for the whole lifecycle of the service. To connect the socket I do it in a thread, so if the server has to timeout, it would not block my UI thread. Problem is, into the thread where I connect my socket everything is fine, it is connected and I can talk to my server, once this thread is over and I try to reuse the socket, in another thread, I have the error message Socket is not connected. Questions are : - Is the socket automatically disconnected at the end of the thread? - Is their anyway we can pass back a value from a called thread to the caller ?     I'm using GAPI library (in PHP) for querying Google Analytics API. I request 2 dimensions (pagePath, date), 2 metric (pageviews, visits), past 365 days time range, and 2 filters for pagePath. Average time to get data for one query is 25-30 sec. When I use only 1 metric (pageviews), average response time is 3 sec. Why would there be such a difference when using 1 or 2 metrics?

I haven't tried deploying Rails on production with Postgres yet, but I am just afraid this generated queries would affect the performance. Do you find Rails with Postgres is slower than MySQL, knowing that it produce more query on the background? Or it is relatively the same?
