  • How do I use a list of filenames to find a folder on my hard drive, that contains most matches of these filenames?

    I need a program that will use a list of file names to find a folder on my hard drive that contains the most of these filenames. Long story short I made a giant map. This map was live and got ruined. New map data files have been generated, and previous map data files have been altered. What does this mean? This means file sizes have been changed, and there will be new files that have never been in the backup folder. Some files map files could also have been generated in other projects. So there could be filenames on my computer not associated with this due to the way the files are named when created. So If I take an indidual file for example "r.-1.-1.mca" This file could show up on my hard drive 10 times. Anyway, the goal is to take 100 map files, turn them into a list, and then search the hard drive and find the folder that has the highest count of matching map file names. Can anyone figure out a way to do this? I am thinking about manually searching for every single file.

  • Mysql Replication out of sync? What commands do I run to sync it back up?

    I have a master-master replication system. However, due to an auto-increment issue, I got an error in replication...and it stopped replicating. Someone told me to do: stop slave; SET GLOBAL SQL_SLAVE_SKIP_COUNTER = 1; start slave; It didn't work. Then they told me to do: SET GLOBAL SQL_SLAVE_SKIP_COUNTER = 2; It didn't work. Then to test it out, I did: SET GLOBAL SQL_SLAVE_SKIP_COUNTER = 99999; It starts, but it is not updating. I created a table on DB1...and it is not showing up on DB2...     I have a post-receive hook that runs on a central git repository set up with gitolite to trigger a git pull on a staging server. It seems to work properly, but throws a "command not found" error when it is run. I am trying to track down the source of the error, but have not had any luck. Running the same commands manually does not produce an error. The error changes depending on what was done in the commit that is being pushed to the central repository. For instance, if 'git rm ' was committed and pushed to the central repo the error message will be "remote: hooks/post-receive: line 16: Removed: command not found" and if 'git add ' was committed and pushed to the central repo the error message will be "remote: hooks/post-receive: line 16: Merge: command not found". In either case the 'git pull' run on the staging server works correctly despite the error message. Here is the post-receive script: #!/bin/bash # # This script is triggered by a push to the local git repository. It will # ssh into a remote server and perform a git pull. # # The SSH_USER must be able to log into the remote server with a # passphrase-less SSH key *AND* be able to do a git pull without a passphrase. # # The command to actually perform the pull request on the remost server comes # from the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file on the REMOTE_HOST and is triggered # by the ssh login.     Please help me block NSFW subreddits like this one (http://www.reddit.com/r/NSFW/) I would like to keep access to SFW subreddits, but block certain subreddits that are distracting or NSFW. I know how to filter domains. (see files below) But how do I apply the filter only to certain subreddits? We thought the reason is due to amazon throttling the network connections over a limit. So, we tried to establish a connection after a random delay from each slave node. But, that didn't help.   • What is the command line syntax to embed MPlayer in an app window in OS X?

    I know the window ID, and I'm trying stuff like: mplayer -ontop -slave -quiet -wid 471165040 /t.mov mplayer -ontop -slave -quiet --window=471165040 /t.mov but nothing is working. (I know the window ID is correct) Otherwise, mplayer CLI is working great in its own window, just can't get it to play embedded. Can anyone point me to a syntax example of embedding mplayer in an app in OS X? thanks!

  • A new MEF error I've not seen before -- "The export is not assignable to type..."

    I was very surprised to get this error today, as it's one that I've never encountered before. Everything in the code looked okay, so I did some searches. The previous questions and their respective answers didn't help. This one was solved when the poster made sure his assembly references were consistent. I don't have this issue right now because I'm currently referencing another project in my solution. This one was solved when the poster was instructed to use ImportMany, but I am already using it (I think properly, too) to try to load multiple plugins This one was solved when the poster realized that there was a platform target mismatch. I've already gone through my projects to ensure that everything targets x86. So here's what I am trying to do. I have a plugin that owns a connection to a device. I might also need to be able to share that connection with another plugin. I decided that the cleanest way to do this was to create an interface that would allow the slave plugin to request its own connection to the device. Let's just call it IConnectionSharer. If the slave plugin does not need to borrow this connection and has its own, then it should use its own implementation of IConnectionSharer to connect to the device. My "master" plugin (the one that owns the connection to the device) implements IConnectionSharer. It also exports this via ExportAttribute. My "slave" plugin assembly defines a class that also implements and exports IConnectionSharer. When the application loads, the intent is for my slave plugin, via MEF, to enumerate all IConnectionSharers and store them in an IEnumerable<IConnectionSharer>. It does so like this: [ImportMany] public IEnumerable<IConnectionSharer> AllSharedConnections { get; set; } But during part composition, I get the error the export 'Company.MasterPlugin (ContractName="IConnectionSharer")' is not assignable to type 'IConnectionSharer'. The error message itself seems clear enough -- it's as if MEF thinks my master plugin doesn't inherit from IConnectionSharer... but it does! Can anyone suggest further debugging strategies? I'm going to start the painful process of single stepping through the MEF source.

    Hi, can a MySQL slave instance have different row values for the same ID when binlog_format is set to STATEMENT and we insert something like: insert into foo values(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) As I understand it, the slave read the SQL statement and execute it thus, if the replication is lagging, could lead to differences for the same row. Right or wrong ? How can I avoid this situation ? Thank you.

Microsoft has brought this already impressive product leaps and bounds in terms of accessibility, standards, and usability. One thing you might be aware of is the new and quite useful “ribbon” control that appears by default at the top of every SharePoint 2010 master page. Here’s a sneak peek: You’ll see this ribbon not only in the 2010 web interface, but also throughout the entire family of Office products coming out this year. Even SharePoint Designer 2010 makes use of the ribbon in a very flexible and useful way. Hiding The Ribbon In SharePoint 2010, the ribbon is used almost exclusively for content creation and site administration. It doesn’t make much sense to show the ribbon on a public-facing internet site (in fact, it can really retract from your site’s design when it appears), so you’ll probably want to hide the ribbon when users aren’t logged in. Here’s how it works: <SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl PermissionsString="ManagePermissions" runat="server">     <div id="s4-ribbonrow" class="s4-pr s4-ribbonrowhidetitle">         <!-- Ribbon code appears here... -->     </div> </SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl> In your master page, find the SharePoint ribbon by looking for the line of code that begins with <div id=”s4-ribbonrow”>. Place the SPSecurityTrimmedControl code around your ribbon to conditionally hide it based on user permissions. In our example, we’ve hidden the ribbon from any user who doesn’t have the ManagePermissions ability, which is going to be almost any user short of a site administrator. Other Permission Levels You can specify different permission levels for the SPSecurityTrimmedControl, allowing you to configure exactly who can see the SharePoint 2010 ribbon. Basically, this control will hide anything inside of it when users don’t have the specified PermissionString. The available options include: 1. List Permissions - ManageLists - CancelCheckout - AddListItems - EditListItems - DeleteListItems - ViewListItems - ApproveItems - OpenItems - ViewVersionsDeleteVersions - CreateAlerts - ViewFormPages 2. Site Permissions - ManagePermissions - ViewUsageData - ManageSubwebs - ManageWeb - AddAndCustomizePages - ApplyThemeAndBorder - ApplyStyleSheets - CreateGroups - BrowseDirectories - CreateSSCSite - ViewPages - EnumeratePermissions - BrowseUserInfo - ManageAlerts - UseRemoteAPIs - UseClientIntegration - Open - EditMyUserInfo 3. Personal Permissions - ManagePersonalViews - AddDelPrivateWebParts - UpdatePersonalWebParts You can use this control to hide anything in your master page or on related page layouts, so be sure to keep it in mind when you’re trying to hide/show things conditionally based on user permission. The One Catch You may notice that the login control (or welcome control) is actually inside the ribbon by default in SharePoint 2010. You’ll probably want to pull this control out of the ribbon and place it elsewhere on your page. Just look for the line of code that looks like this: <wssuc:Welcome id="IdWelcome" runat="server" EnableViewState=”false”/> Move this code out of the ribbon and into another location within your master page. Save your changes, check in and approve all files, and anonymous users will never know your site is built on SharePoint 2010!

  • Using Apache FOP from .NET level

    In one of my previous posts I was talking about FO.NET which I was using to generate a pdf documents from XSL-FO. FO.NET is one of the .NET ports of Apache FOP. Unfortunatelly it is no longer maintained. I known it when I decidec to use it, because there is a lack of available (free) choices for .NET to render a pdf form XSL-FO. I hoped in this implementation I will find all I need to create a pdf file with my really simple requirements. FO.NET is a port from some old version of Apache FOP and I found really quickly that there is a lack of some features that I needed, like dotted borders, double borders or support for margins. So I started to looking for some alternatives. I didn’t try the NFOP, another port of Apache FOP, because I found something I think much more better, the IKVM.NET project.   IKVM.NET it is not a pdf renderer. So what it is? From the project site:   IKVM.NET is an implementation of Java for Mono and the Microsoft .NET Framework. It includes the following components: a Java Virtual Machine implemented in .NET a .NET implementation of the Java class libraries tools that enable Java and .NET interoperability   In the simplest form IKVM.NET allows to use a Java code library in the C# code and vice versa.   I tried to use an Apache FOP, the best I think open source pdf –> XSL-FO renderer written in Java from my project written in C# using an IKVM.NET and it work like a charm. In the rest of the post I want to show, how to prepare a .NET *.dll class library from Apache FOP *.jar’s with IKVM.NET and generate a simple Hello world pdf document.   To start playing with IKVM.NET and Apache FOP we need to download their packages: IKVM.NET Apache FOP and then unpack them.   From the FOP directory copy all the *.jar’s files from lib and build catalogs to some location, e.g. d:\fop. Second step is to build the *.dll library from these files. On the console execute the following comand:   ikvmc –target:library –out:d:\fop\fop.dll –recurse:d:\fop   The ikvmc is located in the bin subdirectory where you unpacked the IKVM.NET. You must execute this command from this catalog, add this path to the global variable PATH or specify the full path to the bin subdirectory.   In no error occurred during this process, the fop.dll library should be created. I didn’t find a way to replace this piece of code with equivalent from .NET standard library. If any error or warning will occure during generating the pdf file, on the console will ge shown, that’s why I inserted the last line in the sample above. The DotNetOutputMemoryStream this is my wrapper for the Java OutputStream. I have created it to have the possibility to exchange data between the .NET <-> Java objects.
