I've forked a Mercurial repository, and now I want to pull the changes from the main repository into my fork. If this were git, I would do something like...
git remote add upstream <url>
git pull upstream master
How do I do this sort of thing in Mercurial?
I need to upgrade my server to PHP 5.3 but have a Magento install and I know that Magento doesn't play nicely with PHP 5.3.
I think that the changes won't be too extensive (from what I've read). But, I figured I would open it up to the SO crowd.
Has anyone done this successfully? If so, did you take good notes?
Hello, I've been seeing a lot of C# 4.0 changes as of late. I really like some of them. Also though, I do not want to move on to .Net 4.0 for compatibility reasons just yet.
So, is there a comprehensive list of new C# 4.0 language features that will work on .Net 3.5 or lower?
What is the preferred method of refreshing a combo box when the data changes?
If a form is open and the combo box data is already loaded, how do you refresh the contents of the combo box without the form having to be closed and reloaded?
Do you have to do something on the Click event on the combo box? This would seem to be a potential slow down for the app if there is a hit to the database every time someone clicks on a combo box.
I want to write a small bakcup script that would that my shelf changes in IntelliJ and put them on a netwrok drive. But I can't locate the path to where these are stored on my local drive.
Any ideas?
I have a DataGrid and I set the DataProvider to my data. When my data changes the DataGrid loses the selected row and the scroll bar jumps back to the top. How do I maintain the selection and scroll position?
Hi,
Sorry if the question isn't phrased very well but I'm new to SSAS and don't know the correct terms.
I have changed the name of a table and its columns. I am using said table as a dimension for my cube, so now the cube won't process. Presumably I need to make updates in the analysis server to reflect changes to the source database?
I have no idea where to start - any help gratefully received.
Thanks
Phil
I need to create a php search function for names and need to change LastName, FirstName into LastName..FirstName to search the database. I don't know if this helps, but the string will originally be in the form a variable ($Client).
I need the syntax for the three statements that find the string, matches, and makes the changes.
I created a bufferedimage which i applied to a Rectangle to use as filling pattern to shape S. If i change S's position, the filling pattern changes with it instead of remaining "fixed". What could it be?
Image: (the pattern is a 3 stripes, all with the same aspect ratio) :
I have logic on a CheckBox's OnCheckedChanged event that fires on form load as well as when user changes check state. I want the logic to only execute upon user action.
Is there a slick way of detecting user vs programmatic change that doesn't rely on setting/checking user variables?
Is it possible to monitor a mysql table for changes within a c# application? I basically want an event to be raised when data is inserted into the table. The only thing I can think of now is to query the table every 100ms or so.
I am using the jQuery sortable() feature to re-order a list of items. After an item is drug to a new location, I kick off an AJAX form post to the server to save the new order. How can I undo the sort (e.g. return the drug item to its original position in the list) if I receive an error message from the server?
Basically, I only want the re-order to "stick" if the server confirms that the changes were saved.
TextChangedEventArgs is being fired twice in my RichTextBox control.
Is this normal?
Also, when will e.Changes (you know the TextChangedEventArgs) be 1. The only case I can think of is someone pasting content into it.
But other times it seems in normal typing a person can really only change 1 paragraph right?
I have some windows docked to edges/corners of the working area, and I need to know if/when the WorkingArea of the screen changes so I can update the position of those windows. I've attempted to tackle this before to no avail, as I recall.
I have recently switched from Subversion to Mercurial for source control and in doing so have split up one repository into several. I used subrepos to manage the dependencies between repositories. The problem is that pull is not suprepo aware so I have to go into each subrepo and pull changes in order to update a repository. Is there a better way to do this?
We're using Hudson on an SVN repository that hosts a number of projects. One of these projects takes a long time to build, even if no files were changed. Right now Hudson's "Poll SVN" detects that the subversion repository has changed and will try to build the project, even if that change was in a different project.
Is there a way to set up "Poll SCM" to only respond to changes in a certain branch?
I have a view controller with a view and one subview. When the device orientation changes the view auto-redraws but the subview doesn't. If I explicitly do [subview setNeedsDisplay] it redraws but I don't have a logical place to put that call in my code. And, since I don't have to explicitly tell the view to redraw, it seems counter-intuitive to tell the subview to redraw. Is there a way to make the subview auto-redraw when the view redraws?
I can't figure out how to properly show the printer preference dialog of a given printer so that the user can change the printer settings.
Most of the examples that I can find online manage to show the dialog but any changes the user might make are lost which makes it useless.
Example:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/PrinterPropertiesWindow.aspx
(I tried to change the code as suggested by BartJoy but that didn't fix it)
Does anyone know how to do this properly?
