  • Commercial Java LIB / API to read and write Word 2007 docs

    I need a simple to use / good docs / good support java lib to read and write word documents, namely word 2007 support (and word 2010 support planned). As the project I'm in has budget and time-constraints I don't mind buying a commercial lib :) I know they are XML files in a somewhat open format but I really don't want to waste time understanding the XML specification. Any good recommendations from happy customers? (Right now my choice is going to Aspose.Words for Java)

    I'm trying to use a WSDL Top Down approach to create a Web Service in Visual Studio 2010. I used Eclipse's WSDL GUI Editor to generate a WSDL file (CalculatorWSDL.wsdl) which uses the SOAP method for communication. I also used wsdl.exe to generate a C# file (Calculator.cs). Now, I'm not sure what to do next. How do I actually use the Calculator.cs on the server and/or client?

    In my 2nd ASP.NET MVC project I'm facing a very weird problem: when I call the SubmitChanges method of the DataContext class, nothing updates in the database. It's weird because everything works fine with my first project. I'm using a remote database created in Sql Server Management Studio, I tried doing some queries there and in Visual Studio 2010 (where I have the connection to the database), they all work. Where might the problem be hidden?

Is there a way to identify the services like SQL Server and set them to manual so I can avoid all my memory resources been occupied when not using Visual Studio? Using VS2008 with April 2010 CTP This is mostly a java library that is being used via ikvmc, but if that were an issue, it shouldn't be running in the debugger either.

    Hi guys, Im just trying to attach a collection from another tfs server(both 2010), but this collection was not detached before restoring on to the new server. Now the problem is that when i try to attach the collection it return an error saying the collection was not detached properly.Make things worse, the old tfs server has been removed completely.     Hi, I have a value as '05/17/2010' I would like to get it as May 17, 2010 by using dojo.date.locale.I have tried using the dojo.date.locale.parse as follows : x = '05/17/2010' var x= dojo.date.locale.parse(x, {datePattern: "MM/dd/yyyy", selector: "date"}); alert(x) This doesnt give me the desired date pattern I also tried replacing the pattern as datePattern : "MMMM d, yyyy" but it returns me null.
