Is there a hash function that returns a 16-digit hex value (as MD5 returns 32-digit), or is there a library (for C++) in which I can use MD5 or SHA-1 which returns a 16-digit value
Hi everyone.
I have BigInteger keys at hand I can copy paste into code. I want to use them. These are a privatekey a publickey and a modulus. I need to calculate the RSA parameters from this. But I suspect there is a library for that which I was unable to find with google. Any ideas? Thanks.
I've to create a dataset from some text files, writing them as vectors of features.
Something like this:
doc1: 1,0.45 6,0.001 94,0.1 ...
doc2: 3,0.5 98,0.2 ...
...
each position of the vector represent a word, and the score is given by something like TF-IDF.
Do you know some library/tool/whatever for this? (java is better)
Hi,
I have recenlty stumbled into Zend Lucene port of Lucene project. I have a little bit experience with SOLR so I would like to know what is the difference between two of them especially from performance and installation side.
As much as I know SOLR requires Tomcat serverlet running in web hosting in order to work, what about Zend Lucene library?
I am also a bit confused what means "being implemented on the top of Lucene"?
What is the advantage of using a ConcurrentBag(Of MyType) against just using a List(Of MyType)?
The MSDN page on the CB (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381779(v=VS.100).aspx) states that
ConcurrentBag(Of T) is a thread-safe
bag implementation, optimized for
scenarios where the same thread will
be both producing and consuming data
stored in the bag
So what is the advantage? I can understand the advantage of the other collection types in the Concurrency namespace, but this one puzzled me.
Thanks.
I would like to import my Last.fm library into Grooveshark programatically, to make transitioning to it a bit easier. However, I haven't been able to find any kind of API which would make this possible. Has anyone heard of one?
How can I read wireless signal strength In C++ and Java ?
Please provide a code snippet, a link to a library, or anything else that might show me how to accomplish this?
I need to resize images and resample them so they don't end up all jagged (I think that's called aliasing).
I found some code (sorry, lost the link) that does this in pure VB6 code but it's a bit slow (2-5 seconds) and I'm displaying pictures in real time so I need something faster.
I seem to recall seeing some examples of doing this with the GDI+ library. An example in VB6 would be ideal, but I can probably work with a simple example with Windows API calls in another language.
With the new media-library capabilities in the 3.0 SDK, I'd like to have a tab in my application to control the music that's playing. Not just pause and play (i'm aware that pressing the home button twice brings up controls for this), but also the ability to browse and queue albums/artists/songs/playlists. Basically a copy of the ipod app functionality.
Any chance someone has already done this and made it freely available?
If I wanted to add, let's say, a new .lib to the build only if a particular #define was set, how would I do that?
In the MSVC++ 2008 "Property Pages", you would simply add: Config Properties -> Linker -> Input -> Additional Dependencies, but I would like it if something like #define COMPILE_WITH_DETOURS was set, then the particular library would be added to the dependencies, otherwise it would be removed.
Thanks!
Hi,
what is DesignMode property? When it is useful? I don't understand it from msdn definition http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.control.designmode.aspx
Some example? Thanks for answer.
I'm doing a library that makes extensive use of a thread local variable.
Can you point to some benchmarks that test the performances of the different ways to get thread local variables in C++:
C++0x thread_local variables
compiler extension (Gcc __thread, ...)
boost::threads_specific_ptr
pthread
Windows
...
Does C++0x thread_local performs much better on the compilers providing it?
I am using Xinha editor with Jquery 1.4.2 and cannot use the UI components in IE 8.
Other browsers work great!
include the following scripts:
jstree also throws a 'data not included' exception (which stumps me since it works without including the xinha library)
Is there a way to find the conflict with Xinha and either work-around or resolve it for IE 8 using 1.4.2 jquery
thanks please let me know if you need more info.
Hi,
I'm writting a program in c# that uses a C++ library, and for some reason I need to allocate an unmanaged buffer to pass it to the lib. Is there a way to do this in c# ?
Basically I would just need to do a malloc in C#...
Thanks
I'm doing a C# project and I want to call next_permutation from the algorithm library in C++. I found the way to call c++ functions in c# but i dont know how to get vectors from c++ and use it in c# (cause next_permutation require a int vector...)
this is what I'm trying at the moment:
extern void NextPermutation(vector<int>& permutation)
{
next_permutation (permutation.begin(),permutation.end());
}
[DllImport("PEDLL.dll", CallingConvention = CallingConvention.Cdecl)]
private static extern void NextPermutation(IntPtr test);
Hi all, im trying to get image size(DIMENSIONS) of hundreds of remote images and getimagesize is way too slow. ive done some reading and found out the quickest way would be to use get_file_contents to read a certain aount of bytes from the images and examining the size within the binary data. Anyone attempted this before? How would i examine different formats. Seen any library for this? please let me know
Does anyone know of a simple javascript library that serializes a form DOM object to JSON? I know jQuery has the serialize method but since I am writing an app for IE mobile, I can't use any of the new fancy libraries, must be oldschool simple javascript, as light as possible.
Cheers
Where can I find the source code of something like this (Google Map API):
http://gmaps-utility-library.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/labeledmarker/1.1/examples/airportmap.html
What's the easiest way of marking spots in a Google Map API (embedded in my web site), according to a list of places and dates?
It has to be self contained, some sort of Erlang runtime library, and the BEAM files. This is so that anyone can run the program with one click, by running a .exe off a network drive, without having to install Erlang or anything else.
I have global static variables in a C library, which generate exceptions in a multithread run. I need to make them safe in some way (i.e., each thread should relate to a different instance of these variables). Any recommended methods?
I want to link the example with liba.so, and also the example is NOT using anything inside the liba.so ...
armlink --userlibpath /mylib/lib liba.so --fpic --shared -o example main.o demo.o
So finally I got nothing from: readelf -d example | grep NEEDED, it seems that armlink do some optimization to remove the linked library which is not really used by the "example" ? If I want to let the liba.so be always linked into example, what need I do with armlink options ?
Any information is very appreciated ;)
my application builds a pdf with images
in the solution explorer i added a folder called pics and dropped all the images there
when i run the program from my computer, there are no problems, but when i had a different user install the application they get this error:
here's how i am including the image:
Dim jpeg2 As Image = Image.GetInstance(Application.StartupPath & "\pics\1.jpg")
i am using the itextsharp library
why is the user having this problem?
This might seem like a bit of a design/css question but i really need some help.
This is the page http://library.permilia.com/Gavin/version2.0_beta/lead.html
It works on every browsers imaginable except chrome.
By it works i mean it applies a class .error that sets the borders to 1px solid #f00 which is a red border. In chrome for some reason you cannot change it no matter what!
Anybody got any ideas?
