  • How to play next file using Audio Queue Services

    - by Stanislav
    What is the right way to play next file using Audio Queue Services? When "play next" button is pressed should I first call AudioQueueStop and then AudioQueuePrime/AudioQueueStart or it is enough to just fill buffers with next file data? The problem is that the latter gives me sound glitches on iPhone.

  • Synchronizing files between Linux servers, through FTP

    - by Daniel Magliola
    I have the following configuration of servers: 1 central linux server, a VPS 8 satellite linux servers, "crappy shared hostings" I have a bunch of files that I need to have in all servers. Right now i'm copying them everywhere manually, but I want to be able to copy them to the central server, and then have a scheduled process that runs every now and then and synchronizes them (only outwardly, no need to try to find "new" files in the satellite servers). There are a couple of catches though: I can't have any custom software in the satellite servers, or do strange command line things that'll auto connect to them and send the files directly. I know this is the way these kinds of things are normally done, but the satellite servers are crappy shared hosting ones where I have absolutely no control over anything. I need to send the files over FTP I also need to have, in my central server, a list of the files that are available in each of the satellite servers, to make sure they are ready before I send traffic to them. If I were to do this manually, the steps would be: get the list of files in a satellite server compare to my own, and send the files that are missing get the list of files again, and store it in my central database. I'd like to know what tools are out there that can alleviate as much of this as possible, first the syncing, and then the "getting the list of files available in the other server". I'm going to be doing everything from PHP, not sure if there are good tools to "use FTP from PHP", which i'm pretty sure i'll have to do for step 3 at least. Thanks in advance for any ideas! Daniel

  • Reading Resource Files from my own APK in Android Native Environment

    - by Kyle
    I'm porting to Android. My existing project has a ton of resource files that I'm porting into my Android project. I have them all in /res/raw/, and I would like to access those resources in my native library with functions such as fopen() and such. Can this be done, or do I have to go through JNI for this as well? I would really prefer not to, for ease of porting and possible speed and memory reasons.

  • SHAddToRecentDocs without a file?

    - by Chris Becke
    I was toying with an IRC client, integrating it with the windows 7 app bar. To get a "Frequent" or "Recent" items list one has to call SHAddToRecentDocs API. I want to add recent IRC channels visited to the Windows 7 Jumplist for the IRC application. Now, my problem is, IRC channels don't exist in the file system. And SHAddToRecentDocs seems to insist on getting some sort of file system object. Ive tried to work around it by creating a IShellItem pointing to my application, and giving it a command line to launch the channel. The shell is rebelling however, and thus far has not visibly added any of my "recent document" attempts to the Jumplist. Is there no way to do this without creating some kind of entirely unwanted filesystem object?

  • Recursive XSLT, part 2

    - by Eric
    Ok, following on from my question here. Lets say my pages are now like this: A.xml: <page> <header>Page A</header> <content-a>Random content for page A</content-a> <content-b>More of page A's content</content-b> <content-c>More of page A's content</content-c> <!-- This doesn't keep going: there are a predefined number of sections --> </page> B.xml: <page include="A.xml"> <header>Page B</header> <content-a>Random content for page B</content-a> <content-b>More of page B's content</content-b> <content-c>More of page B's content</content-c> </page> C.xml: <page include="B.xml"> <header>Page C</header> <content-a>Random content for page C</content-a> <content-b>More of page C's content</content-b> <content-c>More of page C's content</content-c> </page> After the transform (on C.xml), I'd like to end up with this: <h1>Page C</h1> <div> <p>Random content for page C</p> <p>Random content for page B</p> <p>Random content for page A</p> </div> <div> <p>More of page C's content</p> <p>More of page B's content</p> <p>More of page A's content</p> </div> <div> <p>Yet more of page C's content</p> <p>Yet more of page B's content</p> <p>Yet more of page A's content</p> </div> I know that I can use document(@include) to include another document. However, the recursion is a bit beyond me. How would I go about writing such a transform?

  • How can I determine a file extension given a file path in LaTeX?

    - by Frank
    I am attempting to write a LaTeX package which leverages the minted package's \inputminted command. My \mycommand command takes two parameters, the first being a path to a file, and I want to pass the file's extension to the \inputminted command: \newcommand\mycommand[2]{ \inputminted{#1}{...} } Note that the above won't work since the full path is passed to \inputminted. Example: \mycommand{/path/to/Test.java}{blah} should invoke \inputminted{java}{...}

  • Is there Any Limit on stack memory!

    - by Vikas
    I was going through one of the threads. A program crashed because It had declared an array of 10^6 locally inside a function. Reason being given was memory allocation failure on stack leads to crash. when same array was declared globally, it worked well.(memory on heap saved it). Now for the moment ,Let us suppose, stack grows downward and heap upwards. We have: ---STACK--- ---HEAP---- Now , I believe that if there is failure in allocation on stack, it must fail on heap too. So my question is :Is there any limit on stack size? (crossing the limit caused the program to crash). Or Am I missing something?
