• Is there a way to add a menu shortcut for an application to select which Space is supposed to appear

  I am looking for a more convenient way to manage assignment of applications to a particular Space without having to popup System Preferences all the time. Maybe there exists a contextual menu that allows me to do it, or a menu hack? I'ld even be open to use Applescript, but Spaces is not very well supported in Applescript, AFAIK.

• Read part of a file in PHP

  I would like to read the last 1 megabyte of a MP3 file and calculate SHA1 checksum for just that part of the file. The reason that I would want this is that when I'm looking for duplicate MP3's, the header info (song title, album etc.) can differ even though it's the exakt same audio file, so I figured I would be better of to checksum a part of the file at the end instead of the whole one. Is there an efficient way of doing this?

• Sharepoint, error on adding a webpart to a totally new page.

  I have a problem on adding a webpart to sharepoint page. I have a blank page in the sharepoint, and I have a custom control uploaded to the site, on adding the webpart the the sharepoint page I get the following error: "Attempted to use an object that has ceased to exist. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80030102 (STG_E_REVERTED))" I get that error even if the sharepoint page is totally blank and so is the web part.

• Makefile - How to save the .o one directory up?

  Imagine the following folder structure: project src code.c makefile bin How can I compile code.c to code.o and directly put it inside bin? I know I could compile it to code.o under src and the do "mv code.o ../bin" but that would yield an error if there were compile errors, right? Even if it works that way, is there a better way to do it? Thanks.

• How can I filter a report with duplicate fields in related records?

  I have a report where I need to filter out records where there is a duplicate contract number within the same station but a different date. It is not considered a duplicate value becuase of the different date. I then need to summarize the costs and count the contracts but even if i suppress the "duplicate fields" it will summarize the value. I want to select the record with the most current date.   The signature of the hashCode() method is public int hashCode(){ return x; } in this case x must be an int(primitive) but plz can anyone explain it to me that the number which the hashCode() returns must be a prime number, even number...etc or there is no specification ? the reason behind i am asking this question is i have seen it in different ids the auto generated code always returns a prime number, so i need to know why? thanks in advance

Does it re-hash table1 between joining t2 and t3 (even though it's using the same join columns), or does it keep the same hash information for both joins?

• Python command line - add PYTHONPATH during module run

  I want to run: python somescript.py somecommand But, when I run this I need PYTHONPATH to include a certain directory. I can't just add it to my environment variables because the directory I want to add changes based on what project I'm running. Is there a way to alter PYTHONPATH while running a script? Note: I don't even have a PYTHONPATH variable, so I don't need to worry about appending to it vs overriding it during running of this script.

  I've searched for this a bit but I must be using the wrong terms - does ruby have a way to grep for a string/regex and also return the surrounding 5 lines (above and below)?
