    I need to use the RGBRast software renderer for a DirectX application I'm developing. Currently I'm just including the DLL with my install. I have read a few places that it is also included with .NET 3.5 SP1. Is this true? If so, where is the DLL located?   • Logging Application Block doesn't add log entries to Event Viewer on machines other than that on whi

    I am using the Logging Application Block (of Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0) to log exceptions in the Event Viewer that occur in my WPF XBAP application. However, exceptions are only being logged if the application is run on my machine (the machine it was built on). Any other machine it doesn't log anything. I've tried to find a reason why this might be occurring - I've tried setting requirePermission to false - but to no avail. Anyone any ideas on why this might be happening?

    I'm making a request from an UpdatePanel that takes more then 90 seconds. I'm getting this timeout error. "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerTimeoutException: The server request timed out." Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the amount of time before the the call times out?

    The DataContractJsonSerializer is not able to serialize Dictionaries properly. Whereas JavaScriptSerializer serializes Dictionaries as {"abc":"xyz","def":42} for example, the DataContractJsonSerializer gives [{"Key":"abc","Value":"xyz"},{"Key":"def","Value":42}] instead. This is really problematic and I want to know how can I serialize Dictionary objects correctly in my WCF service. The user opening the word document does not have admin rights and the AccessVBOM flag is either not available or set to zero.   • VS2008 intellisense performance issue with large number of partial static classes

    My question is a follow-up to the issue posted here regarding the Intellisense performance issue when building a large solution in VS2008 that has many partial static classes. Since Microsoft does not seem to be addressing the issue for VS2008, I would like to know if there are other ways around the problem? Waiting for VS2010 is not an option at this time. The proposed solution in the previous post is not practical as some of the partial classes may be regenerated and this would be a maintenance headache.
