    I have a string in my database that represents an image. It looks like this: 0x89504E470D0A1A0A0000000D49484452000000F00000014008020000000D8A66040.... <truncated for brevity> When I load it in from the database it comes in as a byte[]. How can I convert the string value to a byte array myself. (I am trying to remove the db for some testing code.)

    I have a treeview control where I am dynamically selecting a node depending on user interaction. when a node is selected I want to be able to have the scrollbar go to the location of that selected node in the tree. The scrollbar is simply made by overflow:auto in the div tag where the treeview is located. Can someone give me some detailed code to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

    I'm using a stored procedure in a sql database as the data source for a SqlDataSourceControl on my .aspx page. I'm then using the SqlDataSourceControl as the data source for a gridview on my page. Paging is set to true on the gridview. What i would like to do is set the text of a label to the total number of rows in the gridview. I can use this code 'labelRowCount.Text = GridView2.Rows.Count & " layers found" to return the number of results per page, but it doesn't give me the total. I've looked in several places and haven't been successful in finding a solution.

    I have a Silverlight control on page which has a upload control. the silverlight exposes some events such as StartUpload() = To start the file upload, StopUpload() = To stop the file upload if running, CheckFileStatus() = to check the status of the file upload. The page has aspx Submit button with onclientclick event and ocClick event. <asp:Button ID="btn_upload" Text="External Upload" runat="server" OnClientClick="Javascript:StartUpload();" OnClick="btn_upload_Click" /> When I click on the aspx Submit Button, the file selected in Silverlight control should be uploaded and after the completion of upload, the Server side event should get called. I tried for it but was not able to do so. Please help me out!....

    Suppose I have a method that passes in the name of a property (as a string) and the object that the property is on (as object). How could I get the value of the property? Here is some code to make it a bit more concrete: protected override void Paint(Graphics g, Rectangle bounds, CurrencyManager source, int rowNum, Brush backBrush, Brush foreBrush, bool alignToRight) { // The next line is made up code var currentValue = source.Current.CoolMethodToTakePropertyNameAndReturnValue(MappingName); // Paint out the retrieved value g.DrawString(currentValue.ToString() , _gridFont, new SolidBrush(Color.Black), bounds.Left + 1, bounds.Top); } MappingName is the name of the property I want to get the value for. What I need is CoolMethodToTakePropertyNameAndReturnValue. Any ideas? I am running on the Compact Framework. I would also prefer to avoid reflection (but if that is my only recourse then so be it).     Assuming server control of type A has a protected member M, then we are also able to access A.M via declaring control tag A on some aspx page: <asp:A runat=”server” M=”someValue” … /> But isn’t one of the rules in C# that protected members of class A can only be accessed from A and from classes derived from A? So doesn’t the ability to access member A.M via <asp:A M=”someValue” … /> syntax violate this rule, since we are basically accessing A.M from a class ( which is automatically generated aspx class ) not derived from A?!

If i replace EventArgs with TreeNodeEventArgs then that error goes but i get an error on compilation. Compiler Error Message: CS0123: No overload for 'TreeView2_SelectedNodeChanged' matches delegate 'System.EventHandler' <asp:TreeView ID="TreeView2" runat="server" OnUnload="TreeViewMain_Unload" ontreenodepopulate="TreeView2_TreeNodePopulate" onselectednodechanged="TreeView2_SelectedNodeChanged"> <Nodes> <asp:TreeNode PopulateOnDemand="True" Text="Machine Groups" Value="Machine Groups"></asp:TreeNode> </Nodes> </asp:TreeView> Please help me out.... I would also like to kno what is the diff between EventArgs and TreeNodeEventArgs Thanks
