  • Need good RDLC examples/samples

    - by Sachin
I am in evaluation phase of report tool. I prefer RDLC for the same. But I need some examples/samples available in the wild which can guide us on using the RDLC off the shelf. I would be looking for examples from as simple as list of data and as complex as using matrix, calculation, grouping, etc. This will help us to make a reference point if anytime we get stuck up somewhere.

  • Locate RFID tag using iPhone

    - by Dan
Hi all, I am looking into building an app (on my laptop to start) that would be able to locate the signal emitted by an RFID tag (non passive). Say I attach this to my key ring, what would be required of the application to triangulate the location of the RFID tag in a 10m range. Would this even be possible using this technology? I see some older posts here so wondering if there have been any tech breakthroughs in this area since then? Dan

  • ASPxGridView -- How to simply add example values with only a DataSource property?

    - by Earlz
Hello I have a ASPxGridView. In it(for the uninformed) is only a DataSource property for telling it what data to load. My problem is that I'm simply trying to mock up an example and don't need to tie it to an actual database. How would I do this? I basically just want a few rows and some columns but since it only takes a datasource I'm not sure how to do it. Would ObjectDataSource be what I'm looking for?

  • Documentation for the Excel object model.

    - by mcoolbeth
The documentation for .NET's Excel interop API at msdn.com seems rather sparse. Does anyone know of more thorough documentation elsewhere on the web? I am looking for something that would, for example, list and explain all the properties of a Worksheet object. Thanks.

  • Know a good IP address Geolocation Service?

    - by carrier
I'd like to get your impressions on any ip geolocation (as in IP to location) service services you may have employed? I'm looking for something free or cheap, which shouldn't be unrealistic because I need to make a very small volume of requests. Anything with python bindings would be especially ideal.

  • Repository - PHP

    - by Mike Silvis
Hello, I am new to repositories and am currently looking around to find the best possible option. I need something that can handle multiple versions of our website, and allow multiple collaborators to all push to the repo together. Our current project is built in PHP, and we have a MySQL database. I am short on funding and need the best option for our money. I have limited ssh access to our server, however I have little to no experience working with repositories. Thanks, Mike

  • How to get a Token from a Lucene TokenStream?

    - by FarmBoy
I'm trying to use Apache Lucene for tokenizing, and I am baffled at the process to obtain Tokens from a TokenStream. The worst part is that I'm looking at the comments in the JavaDocs that address my question. http://lucene.apache.org/java/3_0_1/api/core/org/apache/lucene/analysis/TokenStream.html#incrementToken%28%29 Somehow, an AttributeSource is supposed to be used, rather than Tokens. I'm totally at a loss. Can anyone explain how to get token-like information from a TokenStream?

  • Currency Format in C# to shorten the output string

    - by james.ingham
Hey, I currently have a Currency Format method: private string FormatCurrency(double moneyIn) { CultureInfo ci = new CultureInfo("en-GB"); return moneyIn.ToString("c", ci); } I'm looking to adapt this to shorten the string as the currency get's larger. Kind of like how stack overflow goes from 999 to 1k instead of 1000 (or 1.6k instead of 1555). I imagine that this is a relativly easy task however is there any built in function for it or would you just have to manually manipulate the string? Thanks

  • IPHONE MPMoviePlayer: Playing video under button layers that can be interacted with while video play

    - by nicholas
I would like to have layers of buttons over video playing in the background on my IPHONE application. Basically, I'm looking to adjust the Movie Player code, in order to allow the application user to tap on different portions of the screen while a video plays and call other commands (for example a video of puppets talking, if you touch one of the puppets, the video pauses and a second (smaller) window appears with a list of information about that puppet; when you exit that list, the video continues where it was paused).

  • Question about PE/COFF file formats - ECOFF, ANON, and BIGOBJ

    - by Zain
Hi, I've peen looking at the PE/COFF format and it seems to be missing a few things about extensions to the format. Specifically, I'm trying to learn about ECOFF and ANON objects. from what I can tell, those're just two names for the same thing, which is also known as a BIGOBJ. The BIGOBJ allows you to create, surprise surprise, larger object files than the format otherwise allows. Can anyone confirm or correct this? Thanks

  • Writing preprocessor directives to get string

    - by Dave18
Can you write preprocessor directives to return you a std::string or char*? For example: In case of integers: #define square(x) (x*x) int main() { int x = square(5); } I'm looking to do the same but with strings like a switch-case pattern. if pass 1 it should return "One" and 2 for "Two" so on..
