I am trying to get a list of webparts deployed on a web page in sharepoint 3.0. Is there way I can retrieve it from sharepoint content database or can I do it programmatically?
Is there a way to programmatically disable usb storage devices from working while still keeping usb ports functional for other types of devices like keyboards and mice?
In c#, on a windows 7 machine, how can I programmatically access every file on the file system as though I was a "Master Administrator".
The main priority here, is that after my c# program is installed, that it won't run into any file/folder access permission problems. My program runs as a windows service, and it must allow a user to backup any files on the file system.
I'm writing some code and I need to get the window handle of the listbox associated with a combo box. When looking in spy++, it looks like the parent of the listbox is the desktop, not the combo box. How can I programmatically find the listbox window handle?
I know I'd be looking for a window class of ComboLBox that belongs to my process, but how do I narrow that down to the specific one I am looking for?

Our motor pool wants to scan drivers’ licenses and have the data imported into our custom system. We're looking for something that will allow us to programmatically get the data from the scanner (including the picture) and let us insert it into our application. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this type of system and could recommend one or tell us which ones to avoid. Our application is written in PowerBuilder and uses a DB2 database.
Backbone's documentation states:
The events property may also be defined as a function that returns an events hash, to make it easier to programmatically define your events, as well as inherit them from parent views.
How do you inherit a parent's view events and extend them?
Parent View
var ParentView = Backbone.View.extend({
events: {
'click': 'onclick'
}
});
Child View
var ChildView = ParentView.extend({
events: function(){
????
}
});
Is there a way to prevent the zoom_change event from being triggered if it occurs due to fitBounds() ?
I am having an issue where I need to do a search on the server from client when there is a zoom change to map but every time I call fitBounds() it causes zoom_change to trigger which causes the client to do another search on the server. I am only interested in zoom_change done by users and not programmatically using fitBounds.
I'm doing an IE automation using WatiN.
When a file to be downloaded is clicked, I get the following in the Internet Explorer Information bar:
To help protect your security,
Internet Explorer has blocked this
site from downloading files to you
computer.
I added a registry key to,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet

then a REG_DWORD value named "http" with value==2 as given in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/972345/programmatically-add-trusted-sites-to-internet-explorer
but still facing same issues. Can some1 advice on this....
How can i programmatically get the names of all tables in a JavaDB database? Is there any specific SQL-statement over JDBC I can use for this or any built in function in JDBC?
I will use it for exporting the tables to XML, and would like to do it this way so I don't miss any tables from the database when exporting.
I know the process id of an application in Mac OS X. How can I switch to it (using applescript, or python, or whatever)?
By "switch", I mean, put in focus.
The usual solution is to use the applescript code tell application "Foo" activate, but here the name is not useful because I have many instances of the same application running. I am however able to get the process id of the application.
How can I switch to this application programmatically?
I switched from xml to programmatically cache creation and now I can't retrieve my cache by name.
Here's a code snippet that shows what I'm doing maybe you can spot an obvious error?

I have a ton (about 300) of IIS sites on a server that need to be moved to a new Application Pool. I could do it programmatically using the C# DirectoryEntry class, but I'm wondering if there's any easier way?
On the DataGridView in WinForms, I can add empty rows and edit the values of arbitrary cells programmatically like below.
dataGridView1.ColumnCount = 10;
dataGridView1.RowCount = 100;
dataGridView1[1, 1].Value = "a";
Can i do this kind of thing in WPF datagrid ?
Hi,
I would like to bypass firefox anti-phishing support programatically. Not by disabling its safebrowsing option either manually or programmatically.
Actually, when firefox loads a document, it makes a call to google to determine whether the requested site is phish or not.
If I get when this happens, I can bypass it. Meaning that I would not allow firefox to show its error page.
Can anyone show me the way?

I'm running into the Windows Vista/7 Program Compatibility Assistant problem described here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1069135/this-program-might-not-have-installed-correctly-message-in-windows-7-rc
The solution (backed-up by similar questions elsewhere, and MSDN), is apparently to add a 'compatibility' section to setup.exe's manifest. InstallShield 10 SP1 does this automatically, but unfortunately I only have InstallShield 2009.
How would I go about editing the manifest? Is there a way to do this programmatically, so I can integrate it into my build?
In Windows, how can I programmatically determine which user account last changed or deleted a file?
I know that setting up object access auditing may be an option, but if I use that I then have the problem of trying to match up event log entries to specific files... sounds messy! I can't think of any other way, so does anyone either have any tips for this approach or any alternatives?
When I try to pass less values from a server than there are columns on a client side, I get an alert saying it must be equal. How can I pass less values from a server? Other columns I'm planning to fill programmatically on a client side.
Is anyone out there working with SOAP on Ruby 1.9? Rackspace has email addresses for $2/month and an api to programmatically create/destroy accounts which looks like the best I've found.
Fusemail has $2 addresses too but you need a minimum of 80 to get access to the api.
So, I either need to find a solution to working with Rackspace or a different email host.
How can I programmatically force a mac window to be the front window? I have the window handle, and want to ensure that my window is displayed above all other windows. I can use both Carbon & Cocoa for this.
The function midiOutGetDevCaps returns a structure MIDIOUTCAPS.
I'd need more specific information when querying a usb midi device on windows xp, in particular I'd need the information displayed under "Location" when opening the respective device using the Device Manager.
I need this information in order to programmatically distinguish between several MIDI Interfaces connected to a computer. Using midiOutGetDevCaps, I uniformly get "USB Audio Device" for every midi usb interface connected to the computer, so distinguishing between the interfaces is impossible.
I am using the properties view in RCP, i.e org.eclipse.ui.views.properties.PropertySheet.
I want to be able to refresh the content of these properties programmatically. It seems RCP is geared towards the use case where this changes only when a selection changes.
Is there any way I can fire a dummy event to get this to refresh (without having ugly UI artifacts such as visibly switching between parts) ?
