  • Where is the JTree definition for eclipse's Project Explorer?

    - by Jim
    Hello, The JTree implementation / Renderer used in eclipse (see the navigation pane on the left side) is extremely good. I've checked out the eclipse source code and am looking through it, but can't seem to find the reference to the JTree used. Does anyone know which package contains the definition of this pane? Thanks!

  • What is the meaning of method class in the class definition in Ruby?

    - by Steven Xu
    I'm familiar with function definitions and variable declarations being in class definitions: public class MyClass { public int myvar; public void doSomething() { } } But what does it "mean" in Ruby when a method is actually called in the class definition? This happens amply in Rails, for instance: class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :posts end What exactly does this do (at a lower level than "it adds some methods to the class")? How would I implement such a function (e.g., one that mixes in some additional methods)?

  • SharePoint 2010 Hosting - ASPHostPortal :: Installing SSRS 2008 R2 on SharePoint 2010

    - by mbridge
    What do you need first? Please download SQL Server® 2008 R2 November CTP Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint® Technologies 2010 and please follow this steps: 1. Install a SharePoint technology instance. (Already did this when installing PowerPivot with SharePoint) 2. Install SQL Server 2008 R2 November CTP Reporting Services and specify that the report server use SharePoint Integrated mode 3. Configure Reporting Services 4. Download the Reporting Services Add-in by clicking the rsSharePoint.msi link later on this page. To start the installation immediately, click Run After installing Reporting services and the add-in your reporting server is ready to be integrated with SharePoint, in SharePoint 2010 we have some new admin screens. To integrate go to central admin, general application settings: When you successfully installed the add-in a reporting services icon will be there. Click Reporting Services Integration: Add the report server web service url (To get the URL, open the Reporting Services Configuration tool, connect to the report server, and click Web Service URL. Click the URL to verify it works. Copy the URL and paste it into Report Server Web Service URL.), select your authentication mode (windows authentication is prefered). Add a username and password of your admin account. Click ok to configure and start the integration. After the installation you can set the reporting services default. What is changed in SP2010 is that there isn’t a report library available. You have to add content types to a default library. So go to a site collection, site actions, View all site content. Create a Asset library: Now we have to make sure we can add reports to the library. To do this we have to add content types: Open the library, click on library tools, library settings, Under Content Types, click Add from existing site content types. In the Select Content Types section, in Select site content types from, click the arrow to select Reporting Services. In the Available Site Content Types list, click Report Builder, Report Data Source and Report and then click Add to move the selected content type to the Content types to add list. Now we are ready to upload reports and execute them from within our webparts: Another interesting post: - Integrating SharePoint 2010 and SQL 2008 R2

  • Linking to BIP reports from BIEE Analyses

    - by Tim Dexter
    Bryan found a great blog post from Fiston over on the OBIEEStuff blog. It covers the ability to link to a BIP report from a BIEE analyses report with the ability to pass parameters to it. I have doubled checked and you need to be on OBIEE 11.1.1.5 to see the 'Shared Report Link' mentioned in Fiston's post when you open a BIP report from the /analytics side of the house. Enjoy! Have encountered a problem with in Reporting Services 2005 with printing and drillthrough. If I view a report in Report Manager and then Print the report then I drillthrough from the first report to a second then when I click "back" to go back to the main report the Print dialog pops up. Has anyone else encountered this before? Does anyone know of any workarounds?

I refer the following blog " http://knol.google.com/k/jasper-reports-working-with-beans-and-sub-report# " . I followed all the steps perfectly. While i am running the report using IReport i can get the pdf document with the content. But when we try to create from java program i m getting exception in the following line Line number 110: " JasperFillManager.fillReportToFile("C:/JasperReports/contacts.jasper", parameters, new JRBeanCollectionDataSource(TestPerson.getBeanCollection())); " and this is the following error i am getting in my Eclipse Console window . java.lang.NullPointerException at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRPropertiesMap.readObject(JRPropertiesMap.java:185) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass.invokeReadObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readSerialData(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.defaultReadFields(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readSerialData(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readArray(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.defaultReadFields(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readSerialData(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.defaultReadFields(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readSerialData(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject(Unknown Source) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRLoader.loadObject(JRLoader.java:88) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRLoader.loadObjectFromLocation(JRLoader.java:257) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRFillSubreport.evaluateSubreport(JRFillSubreport.java:308) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRFillSubreport.evaluate(JRFillSubreport.java:257) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRFillElementContainer.evaluate(JRFillElementContainer.java:275) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRFillBand.evaluate(JRFillBand.java:426) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRVerticalFiller.fillColumnBand(JRVerticalFiller.java:1380) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRVerticalFiller.fillDetail(JRVerticalFiller.java:692) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRVerticalFiller.fillReportStart(JRVerticalFiller.java:255) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRVerticalFiller.fillReport(JRVerticalFiller.java:113) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRBaseFiller.fill(JRBaseFiller.java:891) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRBaseFiller.fill(JRBaseFiller.java:814) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRFiller.fillReport(JRFiller.java:89) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JasperFillManager.fillReport(JasperFillManager.java:601) at test.TestJasperReport.main(TestJasperReport.java:110)

  • SQLCMD.EXE generates ugly report. How to format it?

    - by Juri Bogdanov
    I did batch to run SQL query like use [AxDWH_Central_Reporting] GO EXEC sp_spaceused @updateusage = N'TRUE' GO It displays 2 tables and generates some ugly report with some kind of 'P' unneeded letters... See below Changed database context to 'AxDWH_Central_Reporting'. database_name Pdatabase_size Punallocated space --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------P------------------P------------------ AxDWH_Central_Reporting P10485.69 MB P7436.85 MB reserved Pdata Pindex_size Punused ------------------P------------------P------------------P------------------ 3121176 KB P3111728 KB P7744 KB P1704 KB ---------------------------------------------------------------- I also tryed to generate 1 table from this procedure with next query declare @dbname sysname, @dbsize bigint, @logsize bigint, @reservedpages bigint select @reservedpages = sum(a.total_pages) from sys.partitions p join sys.allocation_units a on p.partition_id = a.container_id left join sys.internal_tables it on p.object_id = it.object_id select @dbsize = sum(convert(bigint,case when status & 64 = 0 then size else 0 end)), @logsize = sum(convert(bigint,case when status & 64 <> 0 then size else 0 end)) from dbo.sysfiles select 'database name' = db_name(), 'database size' = ltrim(str((convert (dec (15,2),@dbsize) + convert (dec (15,2),@logsize)) * 8192 / 1048576,15,2) + ' MB'), 'unallocated space' = ltrim(str((case when @dbsize >= @reservedpages then (convert (dec (15,2),@dbsize) - convert (dec (15,2),@reservedpages)) * 8192 / 1048576 else 0 end),15,2) + ' MB') But got similar ugly report: database name Pdatabase size Punallocated space --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------P------------------P------------------ master P5.75 MB P1.52 MB (1 rows affected) Is it possible to change the layout formatting for report? To make it more beautifull?

  • Python regex to parse text file, get the items in list and count the list

    - by Nemo
    I have a text file which contains some data. I m particularly interested in finding the count of the number of items in v_dims v_dims pattern in my text file looks like this : v_dims={ "Sales", "Product Family", "Sales Organization", "Region", "Sales Area", "Sales office", "Sales Division", "Sales Person", "Sales Channel", "Sales Order Type", "Sales Number", "Sales Person", "Sales Quantity", "Sales Amount" } So I m thinking of getting all the elements in v_dims and dumping them out in a Python list. Then compute the len(mylist) to get the count of the items. The challenge is in getting all the elements of v_dims from my text file and putting them in an empty list. I m particularly interested in items in v_dims in my text file. The text file has data in the form of v_dims pattern i showed in my original post. Some data has nested patterns of v_dims. Thanks. Here's what I have tried and failed. Any help is appreciated. TIA. import re fname = "C:\Users\XXXX\Test.mrk" with open(fname, "r") as fo: content_as_string = fo.read() match = re.findall(r'v_dims={\"(.+?)\"}',content_as_string) Though I have a big text file, • Why is Reporting Services report vastly slower than its query?

    - by Telos
    I have a query that takes roughly 2 minutes to run. It's not terribly complex in terms of parameters or anything, and the report itself doesn't do any truly extensive processing. Basically just spits the data straight out in a nice format. (Actually one of the reports doesn't format the data at all, just returns a flat table meant to be manipulated in excel.) It's not returning a massive set of data either. Yet the report takes upwards of 30 minutes to run. What could cause this? This is SSRS 2005 against a SQL 2005 database btw. EDIT: OK, I found that with the addition of WITH (NOLOCK) in the report it takes the same time as the query does through SSMS. Why would the query be handled differently if it's coming from reporting services (or visual studio on my local machine) than if coming from SSMS on my local machine? I saw the query running in Activity Monitor a couple times in SLEEP_WAIT mode, but not blocked by anything... EDIT2: The connection string is: Data Source=SERVERNAME;Initial Catalog=DBName

  • How do I retrieve an automated report and save it to a database?

    - by Mason Wheeler
    I've got a web server that will take scripts in Python, PHP or Perl. I don't know much about any of those languages, but of the three, Python seems the least scary. It has a MySql database set up, and I know enough SQL to manage it and write queries for it. I also have a program that I want to add automated error reporting to. Something goes wrong, it sends a bug report to my server. What I don't know how to do is write a Python script that will sit on the web server and, when my program sends in a bug report, do the following: Receive the bug report. Parse it out into sections. Insert it into the database. Have the server send me an email. From what little I understand, this seems like it shouldn't be too difficult if I only knew what I was doing. Could someone point me to a site that explains the basic principles I'd need to create a script like this?

  • EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL) at random during use of app. Bug in AppKit?

    - by Ger Teunis
    I'm currently testing a new version of an app of mine on OSX 10.5 An user reported some weird crashes during use of the application, sadly not reproducible by me. At first sight it seems to happen randomly, once he had the crash while opening an NSOpenPanel and once during focusing an NSTextField and once during NSView switch in a parent view. If you have any idea which area I should look at it would be greatly appreciated! I'm completely lost here. App is compiled in XCode 3.2.1 with SDK 10.5 and targetted at 10.5 He send me these crashes: Crash 1 Process: NZBVortex [43622] Path: /Users/cero/Downloads/NZBVortex.app/Contents/MacOS/NZBVortex Identifier: com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex Version: 0.5.5 (0.5.5) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [97] Interval Since Last Report: 1951 sec Crashes Since Last Report: 1 Per-App Interval Since Last Report: 1858 sec Per-App Crashes Since Last Report: 1 Date/Time: 2010-03-23 23:43:49.671 +0100 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a) Report Version: 6 Anonymous UUID: 98AB0386-590B-4E0D-B7AC-3F7AA4E7238E Exception Type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: 0 Application Specific Information: objc[43622]: alt handlers in objc runtime are buggy! - Hide quoted text - Thread 0 Crashed: 0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x00007fff82baef6e _objc_fatal + 238 1 libobjc.A.dylib 0x00007fff82bb2ea4 objc_addExceptionHandler + 302 2 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff842b1090 _CFDoExceptionOperation + 528 3 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff81f75e26 _NSAppKitLock + 81 4 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff81f80f8f -[NSView nextKeyView] + 56 5 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff81f81018 -[NSView _primitiveSetNextKeyView:] + 72 6 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff820732b1 -[NSView _recursiveSetDefaultKeyViewLoop] + 242 7 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82073300 -[NSView _recursiveSetDefaultKeyViewLoop] + 321 8 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82073300 -[NSView _recursiveSetDefaultKeyViewLoop] + 321 9 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82073300 -[NSView _recursiveSetDefaultKeyViewLoop] + 321 10 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82073300 -[NSView _recursiveSetDefaultKeyViewLoop] + 321 11 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82072fc3 -[NSView _setDefaultKeyViewLoop] + 279 12 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82072e70 -[NSWindow recalculateKeyViewLoop] + 36 13 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff821dd149 -[NSSavePanel(NSSavePanelRuntime) _loadPreviousModeAndLayout] + 39 14 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff821dcf9e -[NSSavePanel(NSSavePanelRuntime) runModalForDirectory:file:types:] + 71 15 com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex 0x000000010000b7ee -[MainWindowViewController openNZBFileButtonClick:] + 62 16 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff821c96bf -[NSToolbarButton sendAction:to:] + 77 17 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff821c8bb7 -[NSToolbarItemViewer mouseDown:] + 5362 18 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff82082783 -[NSWindow sendEvent:] + 5068 19 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff8204fd46 -[NSApplication sendEvent:] + 5089 20 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff81faa562 -[NSApplication run] + 497 21 com.apple.AppKit 0x00007fff81f772f0 NSApplicationMain + 373 22 com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex 0x0000000100012a69 main + 9 23 com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex 0x0000000100001a84 start + 52 Crash 2 Process: NZBVortex [43600] Path: /Users/cero/Downloads/NZBVortex.app/Contents/MacOS/NZBVortex Identifier: com.NZBVortex.NZBVortex Version: 0.5.5 (0.5.5) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [97] Interval Since Last Report: 727 sec Crashes Since Last Report: 1 Per-App Interval Since Last Report: 616 sec Per-App Crashes Since Last Report: 1 Date/Time: 2010-03-23 23:11:20.000 +0100 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a) Report Version: 6 Anonymous UUID: 98AB0386-590B-4E0D-B7AC-3F7AA4E7238E Exception Type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: 0 Application Specific Information: objc[43600]: alt handlers in objc runtime are buggy!   • When I get the Force Close dialog, I have a Report button. Where did it come from?

    - by BenTobin
    I feel a little bit silly asking this, but I haven't been able to find any answers on my own. My Force Close dialog has a "Report" button. I think it's a great idea, and I wish everyone had it. At first, I thought it must be something I turned on without realizing it, but not only can't I find any setting that I might have touched, I also can't find any reference to this button existing on the Internet. I have a Droid, and I know 4 other people with Droids, and they say they don't have the option to report Force Closes. Am I special? Am I just missing something? The "report" button has been there for at least a few weeks now. When I use the Report button, I get a screen with a "feedback" field and a checkbox for "Include system data". Below that , it says "Information from feedback reports will be shown to the developer of the application." Under that are Preview and Send buttons. As a developer, I've never received one of these reports. I'd try to send a report to myself, but it seemingly only shows the button for apps installed from the market, and I don't know of a way to crash my production app. I suppose I could publish a simple crashing app just to try it out, but I thought I'd ask you folks first. Edit: You can view screenshots here: http://bentobin.com/crashReportImages/

  • How do I filter certain javascripts from running and not block them all on Drudge Report?

    - by jay
    How do I block this particular "auto refresh" script on Drudge Report from running in my Firefox browser? I have NoScript and AdblockPlus plugins installed, but neither of them explain how to filter out a particular script and keep it from running and leave the rest alone. I don't want to stop all javascripts from running just the one listed below. Any help would be appreciated. "var timer = setInterval("autoRefresh()", 1000 * 60 * 3); function autoRefresh(){self.location.reload(true);}"
