  JavaFX 2.2.4 and JDK 7u10 were released on Tuesday. In addition to the release documentation, the following new information is provided: A new document, Using the Image Ops API, describes how to read and write raw pixel data to and from JavaFX images. The Handling JavaFX Events document has been updated with more information on touch events. The Working with Touch Events chapter and Touch Events sample provide information about handling individual touch points to provide sophisticated responses to touch actions. The Implementing Best Practices document has been updated to include information about running tasks on background threads. The Troubleshooting section of Deploying JavaFX Applications now includes a section about disabling the automatic proxy configuration in your application code. (And I was too tired to stumble back to the hotel for a nap so thought I'd do so while attending a session thereby killing two birds with one stone.) It's really funny and educational.   I have a silverlight app hosted on "dev.system-engine.com" which creates an tcp connection connecting to "dev.system-engine.com" the silverlight app and the policy file are on the "dev.system-engine.com" webserver. "system-engine.com" and "dev.system-engine.com" are separate servers. I cannot seem to get it to work.   Hey im getting a AccessControlException: access denied when attempting to start up a RMI app im writing, I cant work out why I get this exception if I open it on the default port 1099, or on another dynamic port, my policy file currently grants everything (will change when app is finished). • How do I code Citrix web sites to use a Secure Gateway (CSG)?

  I'm using Citrix's sample code as a base and trying to get it to generate ICA files that direct the client to use their Secure Gateway (CSG) provider. My configuration is that the ICA file's server address is replaced with a CSG ticket and traffic is forced to go to the CSG. The challenge is that both the Citrix App Server (that's providing the ICA session on 1494) and the CSG have to coordinate through a Secure Ticket Authority (STA). That means that my code needs to talk to the STA as it creates the ICA file because STA holds a ticket that the CSG needs embedded into the ICA file. Confusing? Sure! But it's much more secure. The pre-CSG code looks like this: AppLaunchInfo launchInfo = (AppLaunchInfo)userContext.launchApp(appID, new AppLaunchParams(ClientType.ICA_30)); ICAFile icaFile = userContext.convertToICAFile(launchInfo, null, null); I tried to the SSLEnabled information to the ICA generation, but it was not enough. here's that code: launchInfo.setSSLEnabled(true); launchInfo.setSSLAddress(new ServiceAddress("CSG URL", 443)); Now, it looks like I need to register the STA when I configure my farm: ConnectionRoutingPolicy policy = config.getDMZRoutingPolicy(); policy.getRules().clear(); //Set the Secure Ticketing Authorities (STAs). • Flash Security Error Accessing URL with crossdomain.xml

  Hello, I recently deployed a Flash application to a server, and am now experiencing errors when making HTTPService requests. I have put what I believe to be the most permissive crossdomain.xml possible in the wwwroot folder, and still get the errors. Interestingly enough, the error only seems to occur when the request is made from a direct user interaction (i.e. button click). The application makes other requests that are initiated by other means(i.e creationComplete) , and they seem to work as expected. Anyone see anything wrong with the crossdomain.xml, or have any other suggestions?
