    Hi, I am looking for some frameworks that can be used to collect usage information for Windows desktop application and analyze it. For example, I would like to be able to answer questions like (a) how many times do people use this application in a day (b) which are their favorite menu items, etc. I looked briefly at Google Analytics and Omniture SiteCatalyst but they seem to work only on web applications.     Hi, there. The question is how to make the similar thing like symlink in windows like in *nix. It's really hard to write whole path to the file in console (even using [tab], it's not the way if you need to change language). Adding everything in PATH is tiring too. It'll be great to make a symlink running one command. Actually I'm looking for console app.

    I heard that Windows 7 restricts access to its registry, so that applications cannot write directly to it. Is this so? I am developing an application in C#, and I would like to be able to save things such as port settings, last file used, etc. between sessions. Is the registry still a good option, or is there another preferred means of doing this now? Thanks.

    Is there a way do do dynamic elasticity in Windows Azure? If my workers begin to get overloaded, or queues start to get too full, or too many workers have no work to do, is there a way to dynamically add or remove workers through code or is that just done manually (requires human intervention) right now? Does anyone know of any plans to add that if its not currently available?

    I' m using Visual Studio to create windows installer package, i can't add the folders and data files needed for the application. I create the folders needed for the application in the 'application folder'(under 'File System on Target Machine'), then add files into the appropriate folders, and when i install the application and go to the installation folder there are no folders...there is only the application exe file, hm...

    My development PC has windows installed. And I've experienced weird php behaviour: <?php file_put_contents('c:/q', microtime(1) . "\r\n", FILE_APPEND); sleep(10); When I run this script in browser simultaneously in two different tabs I get such results 1294713622.125 1294713632.2188 which obviously is not what I expected, although in CLI everything is fine. So the question: what can block execution? (session.auto_start is Off)

  • Mysql Windows "mysqldump -t" restore

I'm using mysqldump with the option -T which creates a sql and a txt file per table. mysqldump -u user -ppass db -T path I use that option to be able to restore easily one table. Now I'd like to restore all the tables. mysql -u user -ppass db < path/*.sql Obvously doesn't work Also, I don't know where do my funcs/procs go. Thx
