  • How to enable nullptr from C++0x in the Visual C++ 2010?

    I wonder how can I enable the nullptr in the just released Visual Studio 2010. (C++ project, not managed). This is one of the new features but it is not available by default and looking inside the documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4ex65770(VS.100).aspx it seams that it is enabled by /clr but this is managed! Is this a feature added only for .NET?

  • problem downloading movie to iphone for storage and playback

    I am basically making a video library where you download videos and I then write them to the applications documents folder. This all works fine and if i stream the video from online it plays fine. Or indeed I can stream it from the resource folder fine. However, after downloading it and saving to the documents folder then attempting to stream I get the error 'movie format not supported' any ideas? thanks very much

    I doubt if this is encryption but I can't find a better phrase. I need to pass a long query string like this: http://test.com/test.php?key=[some_very_loooooooooooooooooooooooong_query_string] The query string contains NO sensitive information so I'm not really concerned about security in this case. It's just...well, too long and ugly. Is there a library function that can let me encode/encrypt/compress the query string into something similar to the result of a md5() (similar as in, always a 32 character string), but decode/decrypt/decompress-able?

    f# interactive throws System.OutOfMemoryException when loading large objects into memory. Exception is thrown at approximately 1.3 gigs. Data set is 2.2 gigs, and loads fine in debugger mode. Using VS2008 with April 2010 CTP This is mostly a java library that is being used via ikvmc, but if that were an issue, it shouldn't be running in the debugger either.

  • How do you make cin typesafe?

    It is well known that cin is not typesafe (e.g. cin integer; and entering "fifty five" will cause it to flip out). I have seen many not-so-elegant ways to hand this, such as getlining a string and using sstream to convert it to a number, or looping with cin.fail() and clearing the stream and reentering it, etc. Is there any library or anyway to overload the inserter operator to make cin automatically typesafe?

    Hello, There is already a similar question(link).The thing is I don't understand what unit I have to delete. I have installed the latest JCL library and added 'JclCompression' to the uses list in a unit and I get the error: "Unit JclCompression was compiled with a different version of sevenzip.IOutArchive".     It doesn't look like SQL Server Compact Edition supports the RANK() function. (See Functions (SQL Server Compact Edition) at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms174077(SQL.90).aspx). How would I duplicate the RANK() function in a SQL Server Compact Edition SELECT statement. (Please use Northwind.sdf for any sample select statements, as it is the only one I can open with SQL Server 2005 Management Studio.)

    I've found plenty of tutorials / questions on Stackoverflow that deal with copying char arrays from C/JNI side into something like a byte[] in Java, but not the other way around. I am using a native C library which expects a byte array. I simply want to get data from a byte[] in java, into preferably an unsigned char[] in C. Long story short: What is the best way of copying data from a jBytearray in JNI? Is there any way to detect it's size?
