• Sorting and alligning the contents of a text file in Python

  Hello In my program I have a text file that I read from and write to. However, I would like to display the contents of the text file in an alligned and sorted manner. The contents currently read- name, score name, score Would I have to convert this information into lists in order to be able to do this? If so, how do I go about doing this? Thankyou

  I am trying to pass a variable from one page, load another and enter that information. something Like this: When 127.0.0.1/test.html&ID=1234 location.href = "127.0.0.1/newpage.html" if (location.href == newpage.html){ var e = document.GetElementById("Loginbx"); e.Value = ID } I don't have access to modify 127.0.0.1/test.html nor newpage.html but would like to pass variables to them from another.   I have following question : If setup of some application A was interrupted , and name of it does not appear in Add| Remove program list .I tryed to use Windows Installer CleanUp Utility of Microsoft but if the item does not appear in Add | Remove , the Utility cannot be used .   I want to be able to download a page and all of its associated resources (images, style sheets, script files, etc) using Python. I am (somewhat) familiar with urllib2 and know how to download individual urls, but before I go and start hacking at BeautifulSoup + urllib2 I wanted to be sure that there wasn't already a Python equivalent to "wget --page-requisites http://www.google.com". Specifically I am interested in gathering statistical information about how long it takes to download an entire web page, including all resources. Thanks Mark

  I have a classified_id variable which matches one document in a MySql table. I am currently fetching the information about that one record like this: SELECT * FROM table WHERE table.classified_id = $classified_id I wonder if there is a faster approach, for example like this: SELECT 1 FROM table WHERE table.classified_id = $classified_id Wont the last one only select 1 record, which is exactly what I need, so that it doesn't have to scan the entire table but instead stops searching for records after 1 is found? Or am I dreaming this? Thanks

  I would like to do the following in php : setcookie('name', $value, $Cookie_Expiration,'/'); then some action header("location:http://www.example.com") the problem is that I get : warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (...etc ) could you please let me know what i am doing wrong and if there is a way to do this? by the way , this code is before any output is made ...the cookie setting part works fine on its own and so does the redirection code....the combination fails thank you
