• parsing non-strict json, one in which keys are not enclosed in quotes, with Java

  I am trying to parse a string which in JSON format only that keys are not enclosed in quotes. I can very well parse this string in Javascript, but can not find a Java API which will help me parse this. All the APIs I tried assumes strict JSON format. Can anyone suggest a library which has an option to parse this, or a whole new approach to the problem (say like use regex instead) ?

  Is there anything like this in the standard library? I've looked but haven't found it. It needs to be like a list (preserves order) but also like a set (elements can only appear once). So if you give it ['a', 'b', 'a'] it should return ['a', 'b'] Thanks!

  Ok, I know this question seems to have been asked many times on stackoverflow. but please read Well the answer for any address is "No you can't" but the question here is to know if a pointer points to a piece of memory allocated with malloc/new. Actually I think it could be easily implemented overriding malloc/free and keeping track of allocated memory ranges. Do you know a memory management library providing this specific tool ?

  Right now, if I want to run mysql, I have to do /Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/mysql -u user -ppass... I'd be a happy camper if I could just do mysql -u user -ppass.... • Do null SQLite Data fields take up extra memory?

  I'm using the built in sqlite library on the Android platform. I'm considering adding several general purpose fields that users will be able to use for their own custom applications, but these fields will be blank most of the time. My question is, how much overhead will these blank fields add to my database? Do null fields even take up per record memory in sqlite? If so, how much? I don't quite understand the inner workings of a sqlite database.

• why my C++ output executable is so big?

  I have a rather simple C++ project, which uses boost::regex library. The output I'm getting is 3.5Mb in size. As I understand I'm statically linking all boost .CPP files, including all functions/methods.
