  I'm looking to buy a new laptop (the new studio 14 from Dell). The processor for this laptop is an Intel Core i5-520M. Think link http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-31012_7-10379487-10355804.html says that it supports only 1 CPU. Also Dell recommend the Professionnal version even tough Home Premium is the default choice. So I'm a little confuse as does Windows 7 Home Premium support Dual Core Processors ?

I know you can do it with a Gmail account in WLM by right clicking on the inbox, clicking properties, local file tab and clicking remove messages (which deletes the message bodies and not the headers).

  I hear that Windows 8 Pro can use full disk encryption. I also understand that Win8 is targeting the "slate" / "tablet" form factor specifically. But all my previous experience with BitLocker requires you to put in some kind of PIN or password at boot time -- how can I do this without a (hardware) keyboard? This preview of an upcoming Win8 tablet mentions BitLocker but doesn't address the PIN issue. Am I missing something?

  Occasionally, my PC grinds to a halt, and by the time I get any monitoring tools open (don't forget my PC is slow at this point), performance has picked up a bit. A friend recently told me he uses iPulse, which is awesome since it's always running, and you can just glance at it when there's an issue to see what is happening.   Is there an option or tool that will allow me to change the default naming convention for files copied into the same directory in Windows (XP) and above. e.g. from: Copy of {name}.{ext} to: {name}.{ext}.copy Currently: original_file.php Copy of original_file.php Desired: original_file.php original_file.php.copy This would make finding/working with duplicated files much easier (they auto-sort together) and the filetype (by extension) changes thus it can't accidentally "break" something (e.g. if it were a *.java file, upon compiling I would get errors)
