  • Problem with Tapestry palette's arrow icons in IE8

    - by JellyHead
    I'm using Tapestry to create pages for a web app, and have been using the palette component to add/delete items to/from a group. The page looks great in Firefox (Tapestry seems biased towards Firefox), but my customers will all be using Internet Explorer (any versions from 6, 7, & 8) and in IE8, the disabled arrow buttons look awful. In Firefox, they are faded, using an opacity setting of 25%, but this doesn't work in IE8 and instead you get a faded image with an ugly black border around the image. In tapestry-core's stylesheet (default.css), you have the following for a disabled arrow button. DIV.t-palette-controls BUTTON[disabled] IMG { filter: alpha(opacity = 25); -moz-opacity: .25; } These are clearly out of date, as -moz-opacity is no longer supported by Firefox (use opacity: 25 instead). The problem is with filter: "alpha(opacity = 25);". If I remove this, the arrows look fine in IE8, but they are not faded. I got the magic instruction: -ms-filter:"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(opacity=25)"; from various websites, but putting this in does not work either - the arrow icons are ugly again. The icon itself (distributed with Tapestry) just seems to be a regular PNG, but I'm not an expert on image formats, so maybe there's a problem there? Anyone else had this problem?

  • JQuery .submit function will not submit form in IE

    - by Sean
    I have a form that submits some values to JQuery code,which then which sends off an email with the values from the form.It works perfectly in Firefox, but does not work in IE6(surprise!) or IE7. Has anyone any suggestions why? greatly appreciated?I saw on some blogs that it may have something to do with the submit button in my form but nothing Ive tried seems to work. Here is the form html: <form id="myform1"> <input type="hidden" name="itempoints" id="itempoints" value="200"> </input> <input type="hidden" name="itemname" id="itemname" value="testaccount"> </input> <div class="username"> Nickname: <input name="nickname" type="text" id="nickname" /> </div> <div class="email"> Email: <input name="email" type="text" id="email" /> </div> <div class="submitit"> <input type="submit" value="Submit" class="submit" id="submit" /> </div> </form> and here is my JQuery: var $j = jQuery; $j("form[id^='myForm']").submit(function(event) { var nickname = this.nickname.value; var itempoints = this.itempoints.value; var itemname = this.itemname.value; event.preventDefault(); var email = this.email.value; var resp = $j.ajax({ type:'post', url:'/common/mail/application.aspx', async: true, data: 'email=' +email + '&nickname=' + nickname + '&itempoints=' + itempoints + '&itemname=' + itemname, success: function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) { alert("Your mail has been sent!"); window.closepopup(); } }).responseText; return false; });

  • How to resize a Flot graph when its containing div changes size

    - by Will Gorman
    I'm using the Flot graphing library jQuery plugin and I haven't found a good way to handle resizing the graph when it's containing <div> changes size (for example, due to window resizing). When handling the onresize event, I've made sure that the width and height of the containing <div>are updated to the correct size and then tried calling both setupGrid and draw on the plot object but with no effect. I've had some success with the approach of just removing and readding the containing <div> and replotting the graph in it. However, this seems to be prone to getting stuck in infinite resize event loops if I have to add other <div> elements to the document at the same time (like for tooltips for the graph) as I'm guessing those can trigger resize events as well? Is there a good way to handle it that I'm missing? (I'm also using ExplorerCanvas for IE in order to be able to use Flot, if that might have anything to do with it. I haven't really tried in any other browsers yet)

  • Need AngularJS grid resizing directive to resize "thumbnail" that contains no image

    - by thebravedave
    UPDATE Plunker to project: http://plnkr.co/edit/oKB96szQhqwpKQbOGUDw?p=preview I have an AngularJS project that uses AngularJS Bootstrap grids. I need all of the grid elements to have the same size so they stack properly. I created an angularJs directive that auto resizes the grid element when placed in said grid element. I have 2 directives that do this for me Directive 1: onload Directive 2: imageonload Directive 2 works. If the grid element uses an image, after the image loads then the directive triggers an event that sends the grid elements height to all other grid elements. If that height sent out via the event is greater than that of the grid element which is listening to the event then that listening grid element changes it's height to be the greater height. This way the largest height becomes the height for all the grid elements. Directive 1 does not work. This one is placed on the outer most grid elements html element, and is triggered when the element loads. The problem is that when the element loads and the onload directive is called AngularJS has not yet filled out the data in said grid element. The outcome is that the real height after AngularJS data binds is not broadcast as an event. My only solution I have thought of (but haven't tried) is to add an image url to an image that exists but doesn't have any data in it, and place that in the grid element (the one that didn't have any images before placing the blank one in). I could then call imageonload instead of onload and I pretty sure the angularjs data binding will have taken place by then. the problem is that that is pretty hacky. I would rather be able to have not an image in the grid element, and be able to call my custom onload directive and have the onload directive calculate the height AFTER angularJS data binds to all of the data binding variables in the grid element. Here is my imageonload directive .directive('imageonload', function($rootScope) { return { restrict: 'A', link: function(scope, element, attrs) { scope.heightArray = []; scope.largestHeight = 50; element.bind('load', function() { broadcastThumbnailHeight(); }); scope.$on('imageOnLoadEvent', function(caller, value){ var el = angular.element(element); var id = el.prop('id'); var pageName = el.prop('title'); if(pageName == value[0]){ if(scope.largestHeight < value[1]){ scope.largestHeight = value[1]; var nestedString = el.prop('alt'); if(nestedString == "") nestedString = "1"; var nested = parseInt(nestedString); nested = nested - 1; var inte = 0; var thumbnail = el["0"]; var finalThumbnailContainer = thumbnail.parentElement; while(inte != nested){ finalThumbnailContainer = finalThumbnailContainer.parentElement; inte++; } var innerEl = angular.element(finalThumbnailContainer); var height = value[1]; innerEl.height(height); } } }); scope.$on('findHeightAndBroadcast', function(){ broadcastThumbnailHeight(); }); scope.$on('resetThumbnailHeight', function(){ scope.largestHeight = 50; }); function broadcastThumbnailHeight(){ var el = angular.element(element); var id = el.prop('id'); var alt = el.prop('alt'); if(alt == "") alt = "1"; var nested = parseInt(alt); nested = nested - 1; var pageName = el.prop('title'); var inte = 1; var thumbnail = el["0"]; var finalThumbnail = thumbnail.parentElement; while(inte != nested){ finalThumbnail = finalThumbnail.parentElement; inte++; } var elZero = el["0"]; var clientHeight = finalThumbnail.clientHeight; var arr = []; arr[0] = pageName; arr[1] = clientHeight; $rootScope.$broadcast('imageOnLoadEvent', arr); } } }; }) And here is my onload directive .directive('onload', function($rootScope) { return { restrict: 'A', link: function(scope, element, attrs) { scope.largestHeight=100; getHeightAndBroadcast(); scope.$on('onLoadEvent', function(caller, value){ var el = angular.element(element); var id = el.prop('id'); var pageName = el.prop('title'); if(pageName == value[0]){ if(scope.largestHeight < value[1]){ scope.largestHeight = value[1]; var height = value[1]; el.height(height); } } }); function getHeightAndBroadcast(){ var el = angular.element(element); var h = el["0"].children; var thumbnailHeightElement = angular.element(h); var pageName = el.prop("title"); var clientHeight = thumbnailHeightElement["0"].clientHeight; var arr = []; arr[0] = pageName; arr[1] = clientHeight; if(clientHeight != undefined) $rootScope.$broadcast('onLoadEvent', arr); } } }; }) Here is an example of one of my grid elements that uses imageonload. Note the imageonload directive in the image html element. This works. There is also an onload directive on the outer most html of the grid element. That does not work. I have stepped through this carefully in Firebug and saw that the onload was calculating the height before AngularJS data binding was complete. <div class="thumbnail col-md-3" id="{{product.id}}" title="thumbnailAdminProductsGrid" onload> <div class="row"> <div class="containerz"> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-2"></div> <div class="col-md-7"> <div class="textcenterinline"> <!--tag--><img class="img-responsive" id="{{product.id}}" title="imageAdminProductsGrid" alt=6 ng-src="{{product.baseImage}}" imageonload/><!--end tag--> </div> </div> </div> <div class="caption"> <div class="testing"> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-12"> <h3 class=""> <!--tag--><a href="javascript:void(0);" ng-click="loadProductView('{{product.id}}')">{{product.name}}</a><!--end tag--> </h3> </div> </div> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p class="lead"><!--tag--> {{product.price}}</p><!--end tag--> </div> </div> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p><!--tag-->{{product.inStock}} units available<!--end tag--></p> </div> </div> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p class=""><!--tag-->{{product.generalDescription}}<!--end tag--></p> </div> </div> <!--tag--> <div data-ng-if="product.specialized=='true'"> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-12" ng-repeat="varCat in product.varietyCategoriesAndOptions"> <b><h4>{{varCat.varietyCategoryName}}</h4></b> <select ng-model="varCat.varietyCategoryOption" ng-options="value.varietyCategoryOptionId as value.varietyCategoryOptionValue for (key,value) in varCat.varietyCategoryOptions"> </select> </div> </div> </div> <!--end tag--> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="col-md-12"> <!--tag--><div ng-if="product.weight==0"><b>Free Shipping</b></div><!--end tag--> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> Here is an example of one of the html for one of my grid elements that only uses the "onload" directive and not "imageonload" <div class="thumbnail col-md-3" title="thumbnailCouponGrid" onload> <div class="innnerContainer"> <div class="text-center"> {{coupon.name}} <br /> <br /> <b>Description</b> <br /> {{coupon.description}} <br /> <br /> <button class="btn btn-large btn-primary" ng-click="goToCoupon()">View Coupon Details</button> </div> </div> The imageonload function might look a little confusing because I use the img html attribute "alt" to signal to the directive how many levels the imageonload is placed below the outermost html for the grid element. We have to have this so the directive knows which html element to set the new height on. also I use the "title" attribute to set which grid this grid resizing is for (that way you can use the directive multiple times on the same page for different grids and not have the events for the wrong grid triggered). Does anyone know how I can get the "onload" directive to get called AFTER angularJS binds to the grid element? Just for completeness here are 2 images (almost looks like just 1), the second is a grid that contains grid elements that have images and use the "imageonload" directive and the first is a grid that contains grid elements that do not use images and only uses the "onload" directive.

I am unable to find the line which causes the issue since hibernate flush the session at the end of the transaction. The below mentioned hibernate error looks like a general error. it doesn't even mentioned which Bean causes the issue. Anyone familiar with this hibernate error? Looking forward your help. • ASP.NET required field validator firing on focus in Firefox

    - by ren33
    I have 2 asp.net textboxes in an update panel. Both textbox controls have some javascript attached to autotab to the next field and to allow only numeric input. When I enter some data into the first field and press enter, focus shifts to the next field and the requiredfieldvalidator of the second field displays its "* required" error message, even though I've just entered the field. This is only happening in Firefox. How can I prevent the validator from firing when I first enter the textbox? edit Here's the code: <asp:TextBox ID="add_ISBN" runat="server" Columns="14" MaxLength="17" CssClass="focus" /> <asp:TextBox ID="add_Qty" runat="server" Columns="4" MaxLength="4" /> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator ID="rfvQty" ControlToValidate="add_Qty" ErrorMessage="* required" ForeColor="Red" Display="Dynamic" EnableClientScript="true" ValidationGroup="Add" runat="server" /> In the codebehind: add_ISBN.Attributes.Add("onkeydown", "return isbnCheck(event, '" & add_Qty.ClientID & "')") And the javascript: function isbnCheck(e, id) { e = e || window.event; var key = e.which || e.keyCode if (validIsbnChars.indexOf(parseInt(key, 10)) >= 0) { return true; } else { if (key == 13) { var nextfield = document.getElementById(id); if (nextfield) nextfield.focus(); return false; } if (e.preventDefault) e.preventDefault(); e.returnValue = false; return false; } } The javascript allows only a valid subset of characters, and if the user presses enter, sets focus to the next field.

  • Gridview and Modal popup not updating

    - by rs
    I have page with following controls <asp:UpdatePanel ID="up1" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <uc2:CountryControl ID="Country1" runat="server" /> <br class = "br_e" /> <br class = "br_e" /> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upCountry2" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:Panel runat="server" ID="pnCountry" Width="400px" Visible="false"> <asp:GridView ID="gvCountry" runat="server" AllowSorting="true" DataKeyNames="countryid" DataSourceID="data_country1" AutoGenerateColumns="false"> <Columns> <asp:CommandField ButtonType="Link" ShowDeleteButton="true" /> <asp:BoundField HeaderText="Country" DataField="CountryName" SortExpression="CountryName" /> </Columns> </asp:GridView> <asp:SqlDataSource ID="data_country1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ zyx %>" SelectCommand="xyz" SelectCommandType="StoredProcedure"> <SelectParameters> <asp:SessionParameter Name="country" DefaultValue="" ConvertEmptyStringToNull="true" SessionField="CountryID" Type="String" /> </SelectParameters> </asp:SqlDataSource> </asp:Panel> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> My user control is a modal popup to select country and add selected ids to a session variable. And in main page bind data using ids in session variable.Gridview - on deleting event i'm deleting that id from session and on deleted event updating both user control using a refresh method (Country1.Refresh()) and gridview panel. But updatepanel is not getting updated and even modalpopup is also not getting refreshed. What could be wrong here? Even though update and refresh events are fired and executed, why is page not getting updated?

  • RelayCommand sender from ItemsControl item

    - by Padu Merloti
    I've been using MVVM's RelayCommand with success to bind actions to XAML, but I'm having a small problem with my ItemsControl. <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding Devices}" > <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid Width="100" Margin="4" > <Button Command="{Binding Path=SelectDeviceCommand}" > <Grid> <Image Source="img_small.png"></Image> <Image Source="{Binding Path=Logo}" /> </Grid> </Button> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> In my view model: public RelayCommand SelectDeviceCommand { get; set; } private ObservableCollection<Device> Devices; Devices = CreateListOfDevices(); private void InitializeCommands() { SelectDeviceCommand = new RelayCommand((s) => MessageBox.Show(s.ToString())); } How do I define my SelectDeviceCommand in my view model in order to receive object that is bound to that item? My SelectDeviceCommand is not even being called... (but that I guess is because I need to make my Device a mini-viewmodel and implement the SelectDeviceCommand in it, is that correct?)

  • C#: WebBrowser.Navigated Only Fires when I MessageBox.Show();

    - by tsilb
    I have a WebBrowser control which is being instantiated dynamically from a background STA thread because the parent thread is a BackgroundWorker and has lots of other things to do. The problem is that the Navigated event never fires, unless I pop a MessageBox.Show() in the method that told it to .Navigate(). I shall explain: ThreadStart ts = new ThreadStart(GetLandingPageContent_ChildThread); Thread t = new Thread(ts); t.SetApartmentState(ApartmentState.STA); t.Name = "Mailbox Processor"; t.Start(); protected void GetLandingPageContent_ChildThread() { WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser(); wb.Navigated += new WebBrowserNavigatedEventHandler(wb_Navigated); wb.Navigate(_url); MessageBox.Show("W00t"); } protected void wb_Navigated(object sender, WebBrowserNavigatedEventArgs e) { WebBrowser wb = (WebBrowser)sender; // Breakpoint HtmlDocument hDoc = wb.Document; } This works fine; but the messagebox will get in the way since this is an automation app. When I remove the MessageBox.Show(), the WebBrowser.Navigated event never fires. I've tried supplanting this line with a Thread.Sleep(), and by suspending the parent thread. Once I get this out of the way, I intend to Suspend the parent thread while the WebBrowser is doing its job and find some way of passing the resulting HTML back to the parent thread so it can continue with further logic. Why does it do this? How can I fix it? If someone can provide me with a way to fetch the content of a web page, fill out some data, and return the content of the page on the other side of the submit button, all against a webserver that doesn't support POST verbs nor passing data via QueryString, I'll also accept that answer as this whole exercise will have been unneccessary.

  • Updating asp:SqlDataSource Parameter via asp:LinkButton

    - by Mattec
    I'll try to explain what I'm doing the best I can, but I'm pretty new to asp.net so be patient with me. I have a SqlDataSource which returns a simple select statement based on the WHERE clause using @COURSE_ID What I want to-do is every time any one of 2 (this will change as it's going to be generated) asp:LinkButtons are pressed, they will change the @COURSEID value which i'd like to associate with the specific button. Buttons: <asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton2" runat="server" onclick="MenuUpdate_Click">Course1</asp:LinkButton> <asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton1" runat="server" onclick="MenuUpdate_Click">Course2</asp:LinkButton> <asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:connString %>" SelectCommand="SELECT Chapter.chapterName, Chapter.chapterID FROM Chapter WHERE Chapter.courseID = @COURSE_ID " C# protected void MenuUpdate_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Parameter p = SqlDataSource1.SelectParameters["COURSE_ID"]; SqlDataSource1.SelectParameters.Remove(p); SqlDataSource1.SelectParameters.Add("COURSE_ID", THIS NEEDS TO BE VALUE ASSOCIATED TO BUTTON); ListView1.DataBind(); UpdatePanel1.Update(); } If anyone has any suggestions that'd be great, I've been trying lots of different things all night with no success :( Thanks

  • Updating the value of a math equation with YUI slider and simple radio buttons.

    - by dj lewis
    I have a form that is used to show a price for a product. I have a YUI slider setup that changes the price, and it works perfectly. Now I'm trying to add in radio buttons that also should update that same price value. The price displayed should take into account all 3 fields, and update dynamically as any are updated. This is the code I have, but I don't have any radio buttons for cpanelPrice yet as I'm still just trying to get the IPs to work. <script type="text/javascript"> (function() { var Event = YAHOO.util.Event, Dom = YAHOO.util.Dom, lang = YAHOO.lang, slider, bg="slider-bg", thumb="slider-thumb", orderlink="order-link", monthlyprice="monthly-price", dram="ram", stor="storage",dcpu="cpu",bandw="bandwidth",slid="sliderbg" // The slider can move 0 pixels up var topConstraint = 0; • Best way to convert wpf triggers to silverlight?

    - by Stewart Armbrecht
    I have developed several custom controls in a wpf application that use triggers. what is the fastest way to convert the code so that I have a single code base that works both in the wpf application and the silverlight applicaiton. Here is a sample of the code: <Style x:Key="sButtonAction" TargetType="Button"> <!--<Setter Property="BitmapEffect" Value="{StaticResource BannerEffect}" />--> <Setter Property="Height" Value="25" /> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="4" /> <Setter Property="Cursor" Value="Hand" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="Button"> <Border x:Name="PART_Border" CornerRadius="10" BorderThickness="{StaticResource sBorderThicknessStandard}" BorderBrush="{StaticResource bColorBorder}" Background="{StaticResource ButtonActionBackground}"> <TextBlock x:Name="PART_TextBlock" Margin="5,2,5,2" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Foreground="White"> <ContentPresenter HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" /></TextBlock> </Border> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True"> <Setter TargetName="PART_TextBlock" Property="Foreground" Value="#990000"></Setter> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsPressed" Value="True"> <Setter TargetName="PART_Border" Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource ButtonActionBackgroundSelected}"></Setter> </Trigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style>

  • How can you assign multiple Javascript functions to the upload_start_handler for WordPress's SWFUplo

    - by Byron
    I've got 2 WordPress plugins (PhotoSmash and TwitPic-It) that need to hook into the SWFUploader for the Media Uploader in WordPress. SWFUpload has a setting "upload_start_handler" where you can specify a javascript function that will run immediately before the upload begins. The trouble is that I need to assign 2 different functions to run in separate plugins that may or may not coexist in a given user's WordPress blog. I want to make the implementation so that it allows other plugin authors to hook their own javascript functions. I don't know that I have access to the actual event being fired. The "upload_start_handler" is a setting on a JS object, not an event hook on the flash object. You set it like: swfu.settings.upload_start_handler = function(){ runFlashStartUploadFunctions(); } My current plan is to add a 2 functions and an array variable (check if they exists first). The array variable is intended to hold an array of function names (strings) to run when "runFlashStartUploadFunctions" gets called at upload start. The first function is to add new functions to the array. The second function is "runFlashStartUploadFunctions", and it will iterate through the array and eval each function name. Is there a better way? Thanks, Byron

  • How do I dynamically create a document for download in Javascript?

    - by Nelson
    I'm writing some Javascript code that generates an XML document in the client (via Google Earth plugin). I'd like the user to be able to click a button on the page and be prompted to save that XML to a new file. If I were generating the XML server-side this would be easy, just make the button open the link. But the XML is generated client-side. I've come up with a couple of hacks that half-work, inspired in part by this StackOverflow question. But neither completely work. Here's a demo HTML with embedded code: <html><head><script> function getData() { return '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><doc>Hello</doc>'; } function dlDataURI() { window.open("data:text/xml;charset=utf-8," + getData()); } function dlWindow() { var w = window.open(); w.document.open(); w.document.write(getData()); w.document.close(); } </script><body> <div onclick="dlDataURI()">Click for Data URL</div> <div onclick="dlWindow()">Click for Window</div> </body></html> The dlDataURI() version works great in Firefox, poorly in Chrome (can't save), and not at all in IE. The Window() version works OK in Firefox and IE, and not well in Chrome (can't save, XML embedded inside HTML). Neither version ever prompts a user download, it always opens a new window trying to display the XML. Is there a good way to do what I want in client side Javascript? I'd like this to work in today's browsers, ideally Firefox, MSIE 8, and Chrome.

  • Multicolumn ListView in WPF - errors

    - by Will
    Hi, I am trying to define a multicolumn listview in xaml (visual studio 2008) and then add items to it in c#. I have seen many posts on this subject, and tried the various methods, but I am getting errors. my xaml code is below, VS does not flag any errors on it. <ListView Height="234.522" Name="chartListView" Width="266.337"> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="Name" Width="70"/> <GridViewColumn Header="ID" /> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> to try and add data to the columns, I created a button and put the code in the button click : private void button3_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { chartListView.Items.Add("item1").SubItems.Add("item2"); } the error that is showing is on Subitems is: 'int' does not contain a definition for 'SubItems' and no extension method 'SubItems' accepting a first argument of type 'int' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) D:\devel\VS\pchart\pchart\pchart\Window1.xaml.cs Also, I tried looking at some other posts on listview controls such as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1260812/listview-inserting-items i tried the code there : ListViewItem item = new ListViewItem(); item.Text=anInspector.getInspectorName().ToString(); and got almost the same error on item.Text as i did with SubItems. is there something earlier in my code, or project definition that i am missing? Thanks for any help

  • Maintain aspect ratio on browser window resize?

    - by Anthony
    I have a simple page with images, and when the user clicks the image, it opens up a new browser window with the image filling the area. I have the css set on the new window so that the image height and width are both 100% (and overflow is set to hidden) so that the window can be resized. But what I need is for the window to maintain aspect ratio if the user resizes it. Right now, I'm stuck because I'm not getting how the event works, but I think I'm making this harder than it needs to be. Right now I have: $(function(){ $(window).resize(function() { var height = $(this).attr("innerHeight"); var width = $(this).attr("innerWidth"); if(height/width != .75){ window.resizeTo(width,width*.75); } }); }); Before I added the conditional, the window would immediately start shrinking (apparently opening a new window fires the resize event). Adding the conditional preventing this from happening when the window opens, but any resizing starts the shrinking again. Is it just because the height and width are never exactly the right ratio (should I manually set the width to a round number ever time) or is there something else I'm doing wrong? Or is there some other way to get what I'm after that's more straightforward?

  • sencha dataitem datamap setItems

    - by user1795667
    I'm trying to follow the kitten example given here http://www.sencha.com/blog/dive-into-dataview-with-sencha-touch-2-beta-2#comment_form and I have complex components in which one of the property of my data is a list of objects. And I do find a method for setting a list of objects which is setItems however it does not seem to work. My object array is my model MyApp.Model.Sponsor. Could anyone suggest what I'm missing to get this working? Ext.define('MyListItem', { extend: 'Ext.dataview.component.DataItem', requires: ['Ext.Button','Ext.Img', 'MyApp.model.Sponsors', 'MyApp.model.Sponsor'], xtype: 'mylistitem', config: { sponsor: true, dataMap: { getSponsor: { setItems: 'sponsor' } } }, applySponsor: function(config) { // I put an alert here to see if I get getSponsor() but the object I get here is undefined alert(this.getSponsor()); return Ext.factory(config, MyApp.model.Sponsor, this.getSponsor()); }, updateSponsor: function(newNameButton, oldNameButton) { if (oldNameButton) { this.remove(oldNameButton); } if (newNameButton) { this.add(newNameButton); } }, onSponsorTap: function(button, e) { var sponsors = record.get('sponsor'); //my specific action } }); Ext.define('MyApp.model.Sponsors', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', xtype:'Sponsors_m', config: { fields: [ {name: 'level', type: 'auto'}, {name: 'id', type: 'int'}, {name: 'sponsor', type: 'Sponsor'} ] } }); Ext.define('MyApp.model.Sponsor', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', xtype:'Sponsor_m', config: { fields: [ {name: 'name', type: 'auto'}, {name: 'image', type: 'auto'}, {name: 'url', type: 'auto'}, {name: 'description', type: 'auto'} ] } });

  • ListView with Custom ArrayAdapter not updating

    - by Intelwalk
    I am currently trying to return a custom view of a textview, chrono, and checkbox. I have overriden the getView method but I am not sure if I did it correctly. I would appreciate some comments on the arrayadapter. It currently does not update in my application. Thanks! main java public class TaskTracker extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); Button addButton; addButton=(Button)findViewById(R.id.button1); ListView myListView= (ListView)findViewById(R.id.listView1); final EditText myEditText= (EditText)findViewById(R.id.editText1) ; //final ArrayList<String> taskitems = new ArrayList<String>(); final TTAdapterView aa = new TTAdapterView(this); // aa = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, 0); myListView.setAdapter(aa); addButton.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener(){ public void onClick(View v){ aa.add(myEditText.getText().toString()); //taskitems.add(count, myEditText.getText().toString()); aa.notifyDataSetChanged(); myEditText.setText(""); myEditText.requestFocus(); } }); } } ArrayAdapter public class TTAdapterView extends ArrayAdapter<String> { public View v; public TTAdapterView(Context context){ super(context,R.layout.row); } @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent){ this.v = convertView; if(v==null){ LayoutInflater vi = (LayoutInflater)getContext().getSystemService(Context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE); v = vi.inflate(R.layout.row, null); } return v; }

  • Format date from SQLCE to display in DataGridView

    - by Ruben Trancoso
    hi folks, I have a DataGridView bound to a table from a .sdf database through a BindSource. The date column display dates like "d/M/yyyy HH:mm:ss". e.: "27/2/1971 00:00:00". I want to make it display just "27/02/1971" in its place. I tried to apply DataGridViewCellStyle {format=dd/MM/yyyy} but nothing happens, event with other pre-built formats. On the the other side, there's a Form with a MasketTextBox with a "dd/MM/yyyy" mask to its input that is bound to the same column and uses a Parse and a Format event handler before display and send it to the db. Binding dataNascimentoBinding = new Binding("Text", this.source, "Nascimento", true); dataNascimentoBinding.Format += new ConvertEventHandler(Util.formatDateConvertEventHandler); dataNascimentoBinding.Parse += new ConvertEventHandler(Util.parseDateConvertEventHandler); this.dataNascimentoTxt.DataBindings.Add(dataNascimentoBinding); public static string convertDateString2DateString(string dateString, string inputFormat, string outputFormat ) { DateTime date = DateTime.ParseExact(dateString, inputFormat, DateTimeFormatInfo.InvariantInfo); return String.Format("{0:" + outputFormat + "}", date); } public static void formatDateConvertEventHandler(object sender, ConvertEventArgs e) { if (e.DesiredType != typeof(string)) return; if (e.Value.GetType() != typeof(string)) return; String dateString = (string)e.Value; e.Value = convertDateString2DateString(dateString, "d/M/yyyy HH:mm:ss", "dd/MM/yyyy"); } public static void parseDateConvertEventHandler(object sender, ConvertEventArgs e) { if (e.DesiredType != typeof(string)) return; if (e.Value.GetType() != typeof(string)) return; string value = (string)e.Value; try { e.Value = DateTime.ParseExact(value, "dd/MM/yyyy", DateTimeFormatInfo.InvariantInfo); } catch { return; } } Like you can see by the code it was expexted that Date coming from SQL would be a DateTime value as is its column, but my eventHandler is receiving a string instead. Likewise, the result date for parse should be a datetime but its a string also. I'm puzzled dealing with this datetime column.

  • Add KO "data-bind" attribute on $(document).ready

    - by M.Babcock
    Preface I've rarely ever been a JS developer and this is my first attempt at doing something with Knockout.js. The question to follow likely illustrates both points. Backgound I have a fairly complex MVC3 application that I'm trying to get to work with KO (v2.0.0.0). My MVC app is designed to generically control which fields appear in the view (and how they are added to the view). It makes use of partial views to decide what to draw in the view based on the user's permissions (If the user is in group A then show control A, if the user in group B then show control B or possibly if the user is in group A don't include the control at all). Also, my model is very flat so I'm not sure the built-in ability to apply my ViewModel to a specific portion of the view will help. My solution to this problem is to provide an action in my controller that responds with an object in JSON format with that contains the JQuery selector and the content to assign to the "data-bind" attribute and bind the ViewModel to the View in the $(document).ready event using the values provided. Failed Proof-of-concept My first attempt at proving that this works doesn't actually seem to work, and by "doesn't work" I mean it just doesn't bind the values at all (as can be seen in this jsfiddle). I've tried it with the applyBindings inside of the ready event and not, but it doesn't seem to make any bit of difference. Question What am I doing wrong? Or is this just not something that can work with KO (though I've seen at least one example online doing the same thing and it supposedly works)? Like I said in the preface, I've only ever pretended to be a JS developer (though I've generally gotten it to work in the past) so I'm at a loss where to start trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Hopefully this isn't a real noob question.
