  Hi there, I have a database with products organized by categories and subcategories. The thing is that I generate a menu by querying the categories table. Because categories are almost the same(they can change/add once a month or something), I don't think I have to query the database for each access of the web-page. Do you have a better idea for me? I haven't found anything on the internet, and was hoping the SO community would help me. • how to find whether a script run as a nohup finished or not?

  I tried running a script using nohup like, nohup script.sh & When I tried ps -ef | grep "script.sh" I couldn't find it there except for the grep which is being run with that string as a parameter. Am I doing it right?. Does this mean that the process has indeed finished execution? Thanks.

• Creating content input form with custom theme (Drupal)

  I'm creating a site which I want to place content input form in custom themed template. I opted to do this because I wanted the whole site to be looked uniform. That said, I'm not sure as to what is the best approach to do this. Is it proper to invoke hook_insert/delete/update and hook_perm/hook_access by myself or is there anyway I can still use my custom theme and write a code in a way that drupal would take care of invoking appropriate hooks accordingly?   I'm using entity framework model first development, and I need to do database migration often, The EF database generation power pack doesn't help a lot, because that data migration never worked here. The database migration here I mean, change the model, and then I can update the existing database from the model, but creating a new one. Is there any free of charge tool here invented here yet? Or would this going to be a new feature of next EF release? PS: I love django's ORM.
