In FTP, when I mget *, it only gets file with extension *.xxx and ignores those files without any extension, e.g. file name ACC001.
How can I get those files without extension?

How to create a .BAT file to download and unpack a zip file from HTTP server?
We have links like http://example.com/folder.zip and absolute folder link like C:\Users\UserName\Some mixed ??????? English Adress\
if files from zip exist in directory owerrite them.
using only native windows (xp vista win7 etc) BAT functions and files.
Could you add code example, please.
I have a path for example
C:\files\dir\file.css
The "files" directory exists. however, the dir directory is missing and needs to be created.
When I try to create the file using File.Create, it throws an exception saying that the directory was not found.
Is there any way to make .net to create the missing folders along the path for me?
Thanks
I need to design an in-house server-based system that will store hundreds of thousands of files (images, spreadsheets, text documents) with users accessing metadata as well as files remotely. What are my options? ASP.Net MVC or WinForms with WCF service? I am really stuck here because I am a newbie.
Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I'd like to merge 2 XML streams (strings) in Java, necessarily by XSLT (that I could change the transformation), but the problem is that the XMLs come as a string. There are many examples, but through the files.
Can this be done without saving them in files?
Thanks.

I'm currently using .resx files to manage my server side resources for .Net. The application that I am dealing with also allows developers to plugin javascript into various event handlers for client side validation, etc.. What is the best way for me to localize my javascript messages and strings? Ideally, I would like to store the strings in the .resx files to keep them with the rest of the localized resources. I'm open to suggestions.

I have this bash script where I am trying to change all *.txt files in a directory to their date of last modification. This is the script:
#!/bin/bash
# Renames the .txt files to the date modified
# FROM: foo.txt Created on: 2012-04-18 18:51:44
# TO: 20120418_185144.txt
for i in *.txt
do
mod_date=$(stat --format %y "$i"|awk '{print $1"_"$2}'|cut -f1 -d'.'|sed 's/[: -]//g')
mv "$i" "$mod_date".txt
done
The error I am getting is:
renamer.sh: 6: renamer.sh: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting "do")
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Currently, I have a C# service that runs off of many .dll's and has modules/plugins that it imports at startup. I would like to create an update system that basically stops the service, deletes any files it is told to delete (old versions), downloads new versions from a server, and starts the service. I believe I have coded this right except for the delete part, because as long as I am not overwriting anything, the file will download. If I try to overwrite something, it won't work, which is why I am trying to delete it before hand. However, when I do File.Delete() to the path that I want to do, it gives me
access to the path is denied. Here is my code:
new Thread(new ThreadStart(() =>
{
ServiceController controller = new ServiceController("client");
controller.Stop();
controller.WaitForStatus(ServiceControllerStatus.Stopped);
try
{
if (um.FilesUpdated != null)
{
foreach (FilesUpdated file in um.FilesUpdated)
{
if (file.OldFile != null)
{
File.Delete(Path.Combine(Utility.AssemblyDirectory, file.OldFile));
}
if (file.NewFile != null)
{
wc.DownloadFile(cs.UpdateUrl + "/updates/client/" + file.NewFile, Path.Combine(Utility.AssemblyDirectory, file.NewFile));
}
}
}
if (um.ModulesUpdated != null)
{
foreach (ModulesUpdated module in um.ModulesUpdated)
{
if (module.OldModule != null)
{
File.Delete(Path.Combine(cs.ModulePath, module.OldModule));
}
if (module.NewModule != null)
{
wc.DownloadFile(cs.UpdateUrl + "/updates/client/modules/" + module.NewModule, Path.Combine(cs.ModulePath, module.NewModule));
}
}
}
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
Logger.log(ex);
}
controller.Start();
})).Start();
I believe it is because the files are in use, but I can't seem to unload them. I though stopping the service would work, but apparently not. I have also checked the files and they are not read-only (but the folder is, which is located in Program Files, however I couldn't seem to get it to not be read-only programmatically or manually). The service is also being run as an administrator (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM). I've read about unloading the AppDomain but AppDomain.Unload(AppDomain.CurrentDomain); returned an exception as well.
Not too sure even if this is a problem with MEF or my program just not having the correct permissions...I would assume that it's mainly because the file is in use.
I am exploring a structure of folders with C# projects such as the following:
Projects
ProjectA
ProjectB
ProjectC
ProjectD
Scattered around in the same folders as the .csproj files, there are several solution (.sln) files. Is there a fast way to find all the solutions that contain ProjectD.csproj? I can open them one by one and see what they contain, but I would like a feature such as "find all the solutions containing this project".
Using Objective C, cocoa touch framework.
I have few image files in my iphone application. Some file names are in english and some are in japanese like "????????Icon .png"
I'm creating views programatically and not using IB.
My code is not able to read files with name in japanese language.
How can I get this work done.
I was wondering how one might extract the current state of the registry, of Windows XP, in C or C++? (While the OS is active).
I been trying to use BackupRead() on the registry-files, but it is impossible to CreateFile() them. I managed to create a Shadow Copy of the registry-files, but it wasn't the current state of the registry.
Would appreciate any hint... (I know ERUNT is able to do it)
Thanks,
Doori Bar
HI,
I'm new to iphone programming and developing travel application, which retrieve most of it data from remote database.
What is the best way to implement this solution? I thought of generating XML files in server side and getting data via XML files to iPhone app and displaying them...
Is there better implementation to this, thank you in advance?
Waruna.
I've been working on a small and simple program that i drop files onto and based on certian rules they are moved to diffrent places.
the program works fine unless i drop more than a few files on the program then it kicks back an error (that appears to be more windows than anything) that the start up command c:\myapp.exe \file \file \file is to long
I realize i could set up a background proccess but i really would prefer that this program not run in the backround (where it would be idle 99.999999999% of the time)
Can anyone think of any way around this limitation?
Could you confirm I understand this correctly.
Using POST, the file specified in xmlhttp.open("GET","ajax_test.asp",true);
will not be cached (sent to \Temporary Internet Files) ? It will stay on the server only?
If this is true, is the updated html file after calling ajax POST, being updated in the \Temporary Internet Files ?
Am I missing any other important information of this mechanism?
Thank You.
Just wondering if it is possible to figure out who has read files from a Windows share (using .NET ideally but win32 native will do)?
What I'm try to do is create something like awstats for a windows share so I can see who is accessing what and which are the most popular files.
I'm not interested in changes - I just want to log access (with time) along with ip / hostname and what file.
How would I download files (video) with Python using wget and save them locally? There will be a bunch of files, so how do I know that one file is downloaded so as to automatically start downloding another one?
Thanks.
On Win32 I'm getting intermittent output like this at page header:
order allow,deny deny from allorder allow,deny deny from all
I'm running php script which has number of .htaccess files in each subfolder.
I need to understand why sometimes apache is just dumping me a content of this files.
So just wondering if there is any way to enable debug log.
I've tried
ErrorLog "e:/wamp/logs/apache_error.log"
LogLevel debug
However can't see any debug output neither in error nor in access logs.
Thanks
Instead of executable code all it does is create files that don't do anything, even if the files are made executable.
