Do I need to install the Visual studio 2010 full version or just the test manager?
I installed test manager and its asking a URL to add and I added the one we already have , but its not connecting to that site.

When I create a MVC web application in Visual Studio 2010 it offers also to create a testing project using one of framework from the list.
But I have only VS built-in testing framework in it.
Is it possible to add NUnit there?
How do I simulate a scrollbar click with jQuery? So, if a user clicks on a div that says "scroll down," it'll be the exact same behavior as if he/she clicked on the down arrow of the browser's scrollbar. Using the current browser's behavior would be optimal, vs. doing something like $.browser.scrolldown(200,'fast').
Something like $.browser.triggerDownArrowOnScrollBar() would be sweet!
Hi,
I just installed VS on another PC, but this time, while I am coding, it is not marking syntax errors while I am coding..... I need to press F6 to get the errors.
Normally when for example typing the line below, I get 's' underlined saying that there is a mismatch. Any ideas how I can enable this option?
string s = 4;
Intermittently when I start debugging a web application VS hangs (not responding). It will start OK if I run the appllication without debugging. When it has happened once it will do it every time until I delete the vbporj.user file.
This problem appeared when I moved to Win7 64bit. I am using VS2008 Pro and everything is patched up to date. I am using the internal IIS7.
I am using Visual Studio 2005 with Team Foundation Server.
When I right click a file under the source control and choose "compare" VS appears to freeze until I hit escape. My guess is that the window that is supposed to be popping up is somewhere I can't get to. I tried minimizing all the windows that I can and it is nowhere to be found.
I've been developing a WPF application with .NET framework 3.5 and later had to change to 3.0. Some of the features like Func (System.Core.dll) and Linq is not available now and VS throws compile errors to my existing code. How can I use 3.5 features in 3.0?
I'm not too well-informed about the state of the discussion about which model is better, so I would like to ask a pretty straight question: Does it look like two opposing views having really heatened dispute? E.g. like prototype/class based OOP or dynamic vs. static typing
(though these are really not much fitting examples, I just do not know how to express my question more clearly)
I'm trying to learn the Microsoft data / service stack. I want to build a database in SQL Azure and expose it to a c# client application.
I've never worked with any SQL database technology.
Looking online, everything just seems so confusing -- too many technologies, hard to tell what's new vs what's old.
What's the latest technologies to look at, and what (books?) should I be reading?
Hello,
My Visual Studio solution file has lots of build configurations that significantly differ in which projects are enabled, and which are not. I'd like to automatically unload all projects that are turned off in active build configuration to save RAM and make VS faster. Is this possible?
Subj. I need to sign/verify in native C++ (no .NET), using private key for signing, public key for verification.
I saw few examples on MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms761363(VS.85).aspx) that demonstrate how to sign the document with CSP (I don't know what this means).
For my case I need to create a "key" from the binary data array... can somebody help me with that?
Thank you in advance.
An exception got thrown from a lib I use in my project. As I looked at the callstack, I clicked at the lib function that threw the exception. An "Open File" dialog popped up, prompting me to tell it where the lib source is located. Now clearly something is wrong. This should happen automatically somehow. How do I tell VS where to look for all files from that lib?
I really want to learn how to program. A friend suggested I buy vs 2005 or a newer version if I'm serious about it. Is there a cheaper route? I would like to start with c#.
In compiling iPhone apps, there is a setting for "Optimized" architecture (armv7 only) vs a standard armv6/armv7 architecture.
What are the benefits/consequences of compiling an armv7 only architecture?
Hi Experts,
Who can help me with this: I am working on Win7 x64, with VS.net 2008. I am developping for pocketpc.
When my application is deployed to the device emulator it can't connect to my computer / db server. Both de emulator as well the mobile device center are configured to use DMA. When I cradle the device using device manager, nothing happens.
What can I try?
Greets,
Jasper
I know I could easily do something like
sub sin {
sin($_[0]);
}
and symbolically reference that for every function I need to symb ref, but I'd just like to know if there's a way to do something like
{$foo}(123);
vs.
&{$foo}(123);
which works, but not for core functions.
Thanks.
I have just found this page indicating the support for Silverlight mouse cursors:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.input.cursor(VS.95).aspx
Is that it!!! :-| what are they thinking, at least there is stylish looking Eraser!
Is there aany other way to use custom cursors? How efficient/usable would it be to hide the cursor and show a png instead?
Hello. I get a javascript error:
Conditional compilation is turned off

How to fix it? Thanks
What is the difference between "Wordpress Theme" and Wordpress Theme Frameworks? In terms of technicalities, Custom theme making workflow, File and folder structure, Anatomy.

Using the standard VS IDE, is there a fast way to create class properties that are linked to the local variables?
The class diagram seems to provide something, but it basically just created a property stub. Is there something better / easier out there ?
Hi I am little new to SharePoint. Here is my question

I am trying to run some unit tests using NUnit while I have the project open, and VS 2010 cannot rebuild the project while the assembly is loaded in NUnit. I have looked around and haven't found any solutions that seen to fix it. I can close NUnit, then the project builds fine. This is a the same solution based on Rob Conery's BDD demo found here: http://tekpub.com/view/concepts/5
Any thoughts?
