    Google Webmaster Tools says that my sitemap is in a wrong format. I don't see my mistake, I think I followed every guideline provided by Google.     I used the newest vendor driver for my onboard NIC (board: ASUS M5A97 Pro) and those sites to get it running on kernel 3.0: http://www.twm-kd.com/linux/realtek-rtl81688111e-and-ubuntu-linux/ The problem now is, that this doesn't work with either kernel 3.1 or 3.2: https://code.google.com/p/r8168/issues/detail?id=6 My question is: does anyone have a solution to get it run on the newest kernel? Or is this a plaque I have to carry forever?

How can I synchronize this calendar and Thunderbird contacts with Android based smartphone (HTC Wildfire). I know I can use Google Account, but I'd prefer to use bluetooth or even better, local access via wi-fi (no internet connection available). Is there any complete Ubuntu smartphone synchronization guide somewhere?

  • Is it possible to block traffic originating from a specific country?

    Hi guys, My personal website is currently getting a lot of spam comments at the moment, and most of them originate from Russia (I've used Google Analytics to identify the traffic, and a lot of the links link to Russian sites). As it's a pain to keep deleting this comments, I would like to ban people from there commenting or visiting the website. Is this possible? Also, the website is using WordPress. Many thanks!

    trouble chaining proxies hows it going? i am having trouble chaining proxies. i open terminal, run nano /etc/proxychains.conf i add the list like this [ProxyList] add proxy here ... meanwile defaults set to "tor" socks4 127.0.0.1 9050 socks5 59.21.114.99 5577 i open a new tab, run proxychains firefox all i get is this ProxyChains-3.1 (http://proxychains.sf.net) firefox opens but when i google my ip address it is not what it says in the list pleaqse help

    My Google Chrome CR-48 started flaking out/rebooting and finally this message.  This post solved the problem quite easily. http://cr-48.wikispaces.com/Reseat+SSD+Cable Two hints: 1) you need to pull off the rubber feet to get at some screws. 2) the real problem is the little white clip under the cable.  Don’t worry about reseating anything, Just push the cable back on and the little white clip back up to snap in place and hold the cable.

    I am curious to know why do companies hand you a blank paper and ask you to write code? This confuses me, because these days intellisense, google, stackoverflow etc are common sources to look up syntax and / or IDE gives you a colored indicator if your syntax is wrong.     I just realized that Bingbot is crawling my company's website's pages over https. Bing already crawls the site over http, so this seems frivolous. Is there a way to specify Disallow: / for https only? According to Wikipedia, each protocol has its own robots.txt And according to Google's Robots.txt Specification, the robots.txt applies to http AND https I don't want to Disallow: / for Bing totally, just over https.

    I am starting a new website for a local business and have entries listed for it on places like urbanspoon, yelp, google+ local, etc. I am thinking of listing these citation sites on my business website to encourage visitors of my site to go and review the business on those sites. If I dofollow I will pass link juice to my page on that site, but doesn't that mean that the very very little PR juice I have will be leached away from me? Is it better to nofollow them?
