• Good FORTRAN books/tutorials for beginners?

Anyway, few months ago in a bookstore sale I picked up book called FORTRAN 66 for PDP-11. I found it interesting and decided it would be nice to learn FORTRAN. So I'm looking for some modern books/tutorials dealing with new versions of FORTRAN.

• What happens with unarchived objects?

  After I've unarchived an object with NSKeyedUnarchiver, I am able to use it like usual, but I am unable to re-archive it. When I try, it crashes. [NSKeyedArchiver archiveRootObject:unarchivedObject toFile:fileName]; I tried looking in the developer resources in apple but I haven't seen a thorough explination of proper usage of NSKeyedArchiver. Please Help.

I need to be able to notify users that they need to be on the same network as another Peer via GameKit. So, second question. • Is there a good Open Source, XSD based Web Editor?

  I'm looking for a good open source web editor that will take xsd (or some other standard XML) and from that generate web forms that will enable the end user to generate standard xml (without knowing anything about xml obliviously). I took a look at kupu, but there doesn't seem to be much documentation and the site appears to no longer exist. Is there anything out there that does this already. I could write something like this myself, but if there's something that out there that will save me some time that would be great. Thanks

• Is there a decent HTML Junit report plugin for Maven?

  I find the surefire-report plug-in very unsuitable to my working style. I clean the project all the time and I don't want to spend 5 min to rebuild the whole site every time I want to look at the test report in my browser. If I type mvn surefire-report:report-only, the generated report is too ugly and barely readable. What I'm looking for is something like ant's JUnitReport task. Is there one available out there already?

  I have a id based CSS file where I noticed I'm mostly repeating myself. What I'd like to do is specify that an item with an id follows a certain class + some other rules. For example: I'd like id id1 to have all the properties of class LinkButton applied as well as the value back-color: green. Is there a way to do this in the css file? Is there a better way to do what I'm looking at?

• Symfony debug toolbar working intermittently

  I am using SF 1.3.2 with Propel ORM on Ubuntu 9.10 Recently, my debug toolbar has been working intermittently, sometimes, for no apparent reason, clicking it does not display/hide the debugging windows, forcing me to resort to looking directly at the log files. AFAIK, nothing has changed on my machine. Is this a know bug, are there work arounds/fix for this?

I am looking for a rails plugin/gem that would easily do that, ie : current_user.backup() = backup_file current_user.restore(backup_file) = database import/replace I don't know if my question is very clear, but i would like to backup every user's related object (posts, comments, etc) and to be able to restore them from a backup file. • Formatted input in c++

  hey, i'm a noob to c++ (and coding in general) i'm looking for an easy way to take two doubles (at once) from the keyboard and store them in a struct i've created called "Point" and then ultimately store the Point into a vector of Points that's a member of a class (called "Polygon"). i know i could do it with a scanf but need to know how to do it with cin. hope that makes sense. thanks in advance julz

  In one of the Stackoverflow podcasts, I remember Jeff Atwood saying that there was a configuration option in SQL Server 2008 which cuts down on locking, and was kind of an alternative to using "with (nolock)" in all your queries. Does anybody know how to enable the feature he was talking about, possibly even Jeff himself. I'm looking at deploying SQL Server 2008, and want to see if using a feature like this would help out my web application.
