  I have installed the gem 'simple_uuid' but nothing seems to be working. Using irb and running the following: require 'rubygems' require 'simple_uuid' is fine, both return true. But running the following: // Class added by simple_uuid UUID.new returns NameError: uninitialized constant UUID from (irb):3 from :0 I'm a ruby newbie, so don't assume much in the answers. Thanks.

  I use SUBST to map a common drive for referencing some DLLs. I have been running a batch file in my startup folder to do the mapping, but I'd like to have the drive "gone" when I'm not working in Visual Studio.   Hello, I'd like to test a "withCriteria" closure and am not sure how to go about it. I see how to mock out the withCriteria call, but not test the code within the closure.   I am using the mid-point circle algorithm (bresenham circle) to efficiently draw whole circles. Is there something similar to draw circle arcs?   Hey all, I try to use single quotes as much as possible and I've noticed that I can't use \n in single quotes. I know I can just enter a newline literally by pressing return, but that screws up the indentation of my code..   hi how do i return after the first match of regular expression? (does the Matcher.find() method do that? ) say I have a string "abcdefgeee". I want to ask the regex engine stop finding immediately after it finds the first match of "e" for example.   Hello, A DAS box is attached to my linux box using LSI SCSI HBA. Volume is properly detected on the linux box and filesystem is created using mkfs.ext2 /dev/sdc #No partition table I can not mount the volume using mount/dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 But I can mount it using mount /dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 -o loop Can anybody please tell me what "-o loop" option does internally?
