  • Dojo 1.8: Getting dest.appendChild is not a function while rendering a custom template

    - by Jim Pedid
After adding in the WidgetsInTemplateMixin, I am receiving an error dest.appendChild is not a function In the documentation, it claims that there will be an error if this.containerNode is not able to contain any child objects. However, I have marked the containerNode attachment point for a div with dojo type "dijit/layout/ContentPane". Can anyone explain to me why this isn't working? Here is the Template file <div class="${baseClass}"> <div class="${baseClass}Container" data-dojo-type="dijit/layout/BorderContainer" data-dojo-props="design: 'headline'"> <div data-dojo-type="dijit/layout/ContentPane" data-dojo-props="region: 'top'"> Top </div> <div data-dojo-type="dijit/layout/ContentPane" data-dojo-props="region: 'center'" data-dojo-attach-point="containerNode"> </div> <div data-dojo-type="dijit/layout/ContentPane" data-dojo-props="region: 'leading', splitter: true"> Sidebar </div> </div> </div> Here is the javascript definition define([ "dojo/_base/declare", "dijit/_WidgetBase", "dijit/_OnDijitClickMixin", "dijit/layout/BorderContainer", "dijit/layout/ContentPane", "dijit/layout/TabContainer", "dijit/_TemplatedMixin", "dijit/_WidgetsInTemplateMixin", "dojo/text!./templates/MainContainer.html" ], function (declare, _WidgetBase, _OnDijitClickMixin, BorderContainer, ContentPane, TabContainer, _TemplatedMixin, _WidgetsInTemplateMixin, template) { return declare([_WidgetBase, _OnDijitClickMixin, _TemplatedMixin, _WidgetsInTemplateMixin], { templateString:template, baseClass:"main" }); }); The custom widget defined declaratively <div data-dojo-type="main/ui/MainContainer" data-dojo-props="title: 'Main Application'"> Hello Center! </div>

  • Flash10 Triangle Rendering

    - by anon
I know about Papervision 3D. However, alot of the realism there comes from textures. Does anyone know of a benchmark that shows how many single-color, flash-shaded 3D triagnels flash10 can reasonably render? I can't find this benchmark online or an engine for this (most seems to really value bitmaps / texture). Thanks!

  • Increase performance on iphone at pdf rendering

    - by burki
Hi! I have a UITableView, and in every cell there's displayed a UIImage created from a pdf. But now the performance is very bad. Here's my code I use to generate the UIImage from the PDF. Creating CGPDFDocumentRef and UIImageView (in cellForRowAtIndexPath method): ... CFURLRef pdfURL = CFBundleCopyResourceURL(CFBundleGetMainBundle(), (CFStringRef)formula.icon, NULL, NULL); CGPDFDocumentRef documentRef = CGPDFDocumentCreateWithURL((CFURLRef)pdfURL); CFRelease(pdfURL); UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[self imageFromPDFWithDocumentRef:documentRef]]; ... Generate UIImage: - (UIImage *)imageFromPDFWithDocumentRef:(CGPDFDocumentRef)documentRef { CGPDFPageRef pageRef = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(documentRef, 1); CGRect pageRect = CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(pageRef, kCGPDFCropBox); UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(pageRect.size); CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); CGContextTranslateCTM(context, CGRectGetMinX(pageRect),CGRectGetMaxY(pageRect)); CGContextScaleCTM(context, 1, -1); CGContextTranslateCTM(context, -(pageRect.origin.x), -(pageRect.origin.y)); CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, pageRef); UIImage *finalImage = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); return finalImage; } What can I do to increas the speed and keep the memory low?

  • Rendering performance in FlasCC + UDK when compared to Stage3d and UDK on Windows?

    - by Arthur Wulf White
Adobe recently released the Flash C++ Compiler, which UDK uses to target Flash Player. Developers can now access UDK for browser applications. Does this mean greater performance than using a Stage3D engine (Away3D 4) and how much of a noticeable difference in performance would it make in rendering speeds? Is there any benchmark you could propose that would allow to compare them fairly? I am asking this to help myself understand the consequences in performance for deciding to use UDK in a browser based game. I would also like to know how it compares with UDK running natively in Windows? I am not asking which technology to use or which is better. Only interested in optimizing rendering speed in a 3d browser game with flash.

  • iphone certain PDFs rendering as black image

    - by skantner
    I'm trying to draw the pages of a PDF using the code below. Some PDF's render correctly, but others simply show as a completely black image, or have partial portions rendered and the rest black. In comparing what's going on, the ones that show OK seem to have always have "regular" text in them along with some graphics (diagrams, etc.), while the ones that come out black are typically all graphics (like a page of sheet music, for example). Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? I building this on the new 3.2 SDK. Thanks! // PDF page drawing expects a Lower-Left coordinate system, so we flip the coordinate system // before we start drawing. CGContextTranslateCTM(context, 0.0, self.bounds.size.height); CGContextScaleCTM(context, 1.0, -1.0); // Grab the first PDF page CGPDFPageRef page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(myPDF, pageNo); // We're about to modify the context CTM to draw the PDF page where we want it, so save the graphics state in case we want to do more drawing CGContextSaveGState(context); // CGPDFPageGetDrawingTransform provides an easy way to get the transform for a PDF page. It will scale down to fit, including any // base rotations necessary to display the PDF page correctly. CGAffineTransform pdfTransform = CGPDFPageGetDrawingTransform(page, kCGPDFCropBox, self.bounds, 0, true); // And apply the transform. CGContextConcatCTM(context, pdfTransform); // Finally, we draw the page and restore the graphics state for further manipulations! CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, page); CGContextRestoreGState(context);

  • xslt help - my transform is not rendering correctly

    - by Hcabnettek
Hi All, I'm trying to apply an xlst transformation using the following file. This is very basic, but I wanted to build off of this when I get it working correctly. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" exclude-result-prefixes="msxsl"> <xsl:template match="/"> <div> <h2>Station Inventory</h2> <hr/> <xsl:apply-templates/> </div> </xsl:template> Here is some xml I'm using for the source. <StationInventoryList xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://www.dummy-tmdd-address"> <StationInventory> <station-id>9940</station-id> <station-name>Zone 9940-SEB</station-name> <station-travel-direction>SEB</station-travel-direction> <detector-list> <detector> <detector-id>2910</detector-id> <detector-name>1999 West Smith Exit SEB</detector-name> </detector> <detector> <detector-id>9205</detector-id> <detector-name>CR-155 Exit SEB</detector-name> </detector> <detector> <detector-id>9710</detector-id> <detector-name>Pt of View SEB</detector-name> </detector> </detector-list> </StationInventory> </StationInventoryList> Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? The simple intent here is to make a list of station, then make a list of detectors at a station. This is a small piece of the XML. It would have multiple StationInventory elements. I'm using the data as the source for an asp:xml control and the xslt file as the transformsource. var service = new InternalService(); var result = service.StationInventory(); invXml.DocumentContent = result; invXml.TransformSource = "StationInventory.xslt"; invXml.DataBind(); Any tips are of course appreciated. Have a terrific weekend. Cheers, ~ck

  • How to use Mesa3D on Mac OS X and Windows

    - by gutsblow
Hello all, I need to use Mesa3D for a cross platform application(windows and Mac only) which uses only offline software rendering. The reason I wanted to use Mesa3D is because it has the same Drawing calls as OpenGL and they are really easy. Now I know that Apple itself has a software implementation (which I heard is flaky), but I prefer using Mesa so that it's a lot easier for me to maintain the code on both platforms. On windows I managed to compile three DLL's from the Mesa3d source, but don't know what to do with them. On Mac OS X I am completely clueless. I would highly appreciate your help. Thank you once again very much!

  • Rendering GDI components to a buffer or d3d texture

    - by Tim
Hi, I'm trying to redirect the output of a GDI application to a buffer, preferably a d3d texture but I'll settle for a system memory buffer that I can then copy to a d3d texture. Specifically, I'm trying to get Google Chrome to render into a d3d buffer to be displayed in a d3d application. Are there any foolproof ways to do this or am I opening the mother of all worm-cans? Thanks, Tim.
