I would like to make a button that centers the map on the current GPS location. Google Maps app has that icon on bottom left. Where can I get that icon. Is it embedded in the SDK?
I am trying to test my application with location information.
You know the Emulator Control has an ability to load from KML file. (Eclipse - DDMS - Emulator Control - Location Controls - KML - Load KML...)
I've prepared KML file using Google earth application with its "Add path". Then saved it by .kml extension and load it on the Eclipse. Eclipse didn't load this KML file.
How to prepare KML file for Android Emulator Control?

I want to send an email from within my iPhone application, primarily because i don't want to quit my application. Is there ANY way to do that?
Solution:
1) I found this open source API which does that:
http://code.google.com/p/skpsmtpmessage/
Anyone can write their own smtp client for this purpose. (If you can invest that much time - that is)
2) Use a web service to send the message details and handle message sending functionality at server end.
Thanks.
I have a set of points (stored as lat/lon) for a polygon, I want to compute the lat/lon center point of the polygon in PHP.
Basically to do the same thing as the getCenter() function in Google Maps LatLngBounds.
Any ideas on how I can achieve this?
I know there are a ton of books available on the subject but I want one that is recent and describes OOD in terms of TDD, dependency injection, IoC containers, and mocking frameworks.
I realize this question is subjective, but I trust in the opinions of SO-ers and am having difficult using Google to provide any real results.
Thanks.
I've been asked to research the ability to publish Access solutions directly to SharePoint as demonstrated in the demo below.

I'm going to keep searching via Google / Bing - but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any good links to information on this feature. At first glance it seems like I'm getting alot of brief blog entries with links to the SP2009 conference or to the above video.
I noticed that the position of the builtInZoomControls in WebView (bottom, horizontal right) is not consistent with the default position in the MapView (bottom, horizontal center).
1) Why is that not consistent? (Probably a question to be asked to Google)
2) Is there a way to horizontal center the builtInZoomControls of the WebView without applying custom Zoom controls? Or is that the only way?
I am using the api twitterizer2 downloaded from
http://code.google.com/p/twitterizer/downloads/list
but when I try to get the friends of a user I get 100 friends but
I can't get the next 100 friends through the NextPage function.
How can I handle this...?
Twitterizer.TwitterUserCollection userFollowing =
Tw.TwitterUser.GetFriends(tokens,TwitterUrl);
Twitterizer.TwitterUserCollection page2=userFollowing.NextPage;
When I get the next page it returns the same 100 users.
I'm quite interested in beginning some development using Amazon SQS, perhaps SimpleDB too, my question is this, are there any open source solutions that mimic the functionality, just for the purposes of development. I've already encountered the Eucalyptus project (http://open.eucalyptus.com) for creating an EC-esque cloud.
I've not had any success with google, I suspect it's because the cost of entry is so inexpensive, but still, does anyone know of anything like this?
Hi, can you suggest some good books or online resources (FAQ or articles) to prepare for .NET interviews (.NET concepts, ASP.NET, C# etc) for senior developer role? something to refresh the concepts, not too much detailed. there could be stuff I haven't done before (that applies to everyone), so at least knowing little bit about it, will definitely help. google search shows me some website with lots of QA, but they are not authentic (I found some answers inaccurate). thanks in advance.
Hi,
I would like to create a simple XMPP client in java that shares his location (XEP-0080) with other clients.
I already know I can use the smack library for XMPP and that it supports PEP, which is needed for XEP-0080.
Does anyone have an example how to implement this or any pointers, i don't find anything using google.
thanks in advance.

Hi
I'm using struts 2 and I'd like to read some custom-defined parameters (global variables), preferably from web.xml or some custom ".properties" file (i.e. not hardcoded in the Java sources). This problem has been driving me mad for the past half hour as I can't google any reasonable solution.
What is the best way to do this? I find it strange that it is so difficult ...
all the best

I have a web scraping application, written in OO perl. There's single WWW::Mechanize object used in the app. How can I make it to not fetch the same url twice, i.e. make the second get() with the same url nop:
my $mech = WWW::Mechanize->new();
my $url = 'http:://google.com';
$mech->get( $url ); # first time, fetch
$mech->get( $url ); # same url, do nothing
I use Lucene.Net to index some documents. I want to show the user a couple of lines as to why that document is in the result set. just like when you use google to search and it shows the link and followed by the link there are a few lines with the keywords highlighted.

Can you please tell me how can I setup cscope with aquamacs on MacOS?

Thank you.
Can anyone recommend a public code repository? A few friends and I are thinking of starting a few projects for iPhone, web, Android, etc., and it would be nice to have a public (internet) code repository to use that would work well on any platform (Mac, PC, Linux). Any type of repository is fine (SVN, CVS, Git, etc.).
A few ideas are Sourceforge or Google Code. Any recommendations? Thanks
Part of our system provides a web service through apache tomcat, the service is referenced in the server-config.wsdd file. Unfortunately nobody can remember how it got in there.
The apache set up has changed, and I need to update the system for the new configuration. What magic keywords can I google for to help me work out how and why it got into the existing server-config.wsdd, and how it might fit into the new server-config.wsdd
I want to analyze MIC audio on an ongoing basis (not just a snipper or prerecorded sample), and display frequency graph and filter out certain aspects of the audio. Is the iPhone powerful enough for that? I suspect the answer is a yes, given the Google and iPhone voice recognition, Shazaam and other music recognition apps, and guitar tuner apps out there. However, I don't know what limitations I'll have to deal with.
Anyone play around with this area?
Do anyone know where to find good online resources with examples how to make grammars and parsetrees? Preferebly introductary materials.
Info that is n00b friendly, haven't found anything good with google myself.
edit: I'm thinking about theory, not a specific parser software.
I'd like to extract audio stream from a FLV stream in C#. I searched in Google and I found FLVExtract, but it supports only extracting from FLV files, and not from streams.
How can I do this?
I know that i can use the following code to launch my own url, but i want the user to continue their workflow after using my bookmarklet so therefore don't want to open a new tab and have them re-load the url i put into the url variable?
NSURL url* = [NSURL URLWithString:@"http://google.com"];
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openUrl:""];
Can this be done?
A new web application may require adding Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the future, e.g. using ProLog. I know it can be done from a Java environment, but I am wondering about the opportunities with modern web languages like Ruby or Python. The latter is considered to be "more scientific" (at least used in that environment), but using Google there seems to be a preliminary ProLog implementation for both.
Any suggestions on modern (open source) web languages (like Python or Ruby) in combination with AI?
