Hello,
I have a tabbar application, with many views. Is there a way to know if a particular UIViewController is currently visible from within the UIViewController? (looking for a property)
i used zend_tool to setup a project then to create module blog with index controller etc but i guess the default config setup by zend_tool does not work with modules so i edited it
resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules"
resources.frontController.moduleDirectoryControllerName = "controllers"
i guess these are required for modules? also i moved the folders, controllers, models, views into the modules/ folder
but i get a blank screen when i try to go to http://servername which shld load Default module's index controller and action. even if i try to go http://servername/nonexistentpage it also shows a blank screen instead of a 404
Assume there are 3 sub-views (A, B, C) in a view. After a few rounds of random bringSubviewToFront and sendSubviewToBack on A, B, or C , how can I tell whether one sub-view (e.g. A) is on top of another sub-view (e.g. C)?
Whether they overlap each other is not required information.
Thanks!
I have 4-5 partial view files (.ascx) like
abc.ascx, cde.ascx, fgh.ascx.
I want to return different partial views based on the name of the view passed to url parameter like this
/someservice/abc will go to action someservice and will return abc.ascx partial view.
/someservice/cde will go to action someservice and will return cde.ascx partial view.
How can achieve this?
I mostly use Eclipse but have mentionned Netbeans on my cv. Are there any good concise and up-to-date tutorials apart from the official ones that could bring me up to speed on how to use the platform efficiently (shortcuts, debugging, views ...)? This excludes programming tutorials as I don't really need them unless there's a special manipulation involved.
I've got a view like the following:
from django.views.decorators.http import condition
def stream():
for i in range(0, 40):
yield " " * 1024
yield "%d" % i
time.sleep(1)
@condition(etag_func=None):
def view(request):
return HttpResponse(stream(), mimetype='text/html')
However, it definitely doesn't seem to be streaming at all. All the data is dumped at once, at the end, after about 40 seconds. How can I get it to flush correctly?
How would you implement a search facility within an ASP.NET hybrid application? I'm really tempted to start rebuilding our Intranet application using ASP.NET MVC & Web Forms (mainly MVC though).
I know how to search the dynamic content from a database, but I'm struggling with the static content in the Views. Surely this should be an easy task with routing and a sitemap.
I am trying to make a firefox extension which looks at all the new pages that a user views and look at the URL. I was looking at the nsINavHistoryObserver interface and was interested in the onVisit function. Is there a way to create an event listener that can listen to whenever the onVisit function is called?
Thanks
I need to generate links in my views using the url helpers such as user_path(@user), the catch is, in some cases I don't know what model I am creating this link for i.e. whether it is a user or a store or someting else
I would like to be able to determine this on the fly and call the appropriate view helper, currently I am doing the following, but I am wondering if there is a drier way of doing it.
if object.class == "Store"
store_path(object)
elsif object.class == "User"
user_path(object)
...etc
In my Zend Framework modules, I have views that require specific scripts, CSS and images.
Is that possible to include them in the module in a way that I don't have to copy them in each project that uses the module ? (because the "public/" folder is not part of the module, but specific to each application)
If not, how can I do ?
Thanks !
Hello, I have a tab bar with two views. In the first view the iPhone status bar is hidden using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:YES]. When the second view is loaded, and the status bar is made visible again using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:NO animated:YES] it overlaps the view. How do I make the status bar visible again without overlapping the second view?
Thanks
I am new to iphone development.I want to implement lazy tables in many views.How can i do that? I am have two url and i want to parse it in the delegate class and implement it in both view,Please help me out.Any sample code for implementing lazy tables in more view will be more useful.Thanks.
After I do some change in my database, that involves significant change in my views, I would like to redraw, re-execute onCreate.
How is that possible?
I'm trying to simplify my views and get rid of some of the nested layouts, and I noticed while looking at the hierarchyviewer that embedded Activities in a TabHost have a PhoneWindow$DecorView. Is there a way I can get rid of this?
An example is here:

I am having a hard time getting video to play in an application that I am working on and I think the answer has to do with the views and view controllers. I have the flow depicted below. When the button is clicked, the audio from the video is playing, but nothing is displayed on screen. Anyone have any ideas?
-(IBAction) playMovie {
Play Movie Code
}
ViewController UIScrollView UIView UIButton - (playMovie)

What resources do folks use for UITableView related stuff? Apple's Docs seem sufficient , but am sure everyone has a UITableView reference that they use when implementing table views.
I'm thinking of storing the view, what i mean by view is like this:
app/views/profiles/index.html.haml
into this i would do
$view = self
then in other parts of my app i would use and edit the $view var.
it might get troubles?
Hi folks,
I use Smarty View, but want to benefit from theme options.
Since for theming cake use Theme View, I cant use both Smarty and
Theme at the same time.
Perhaps can combine the code but am not that familar with View eingine
core.
Already have a lot views done with smarty and do not want to recreate
all of them with plain php.
Is there a ready combined solution i.e. Themed Smarty View?
Thanks
I have a navigation bar which i push 2 navigationBarIems without animation (animate:NO).
I am animating the transition from views, so i don't want those items to animate atomatically. The problem is that when i touch the button from the bar to go to the previous view in the stack, it DOES get animated. How can i change that behaviour?
I have been using CouchDB on some prototype applications and it has been brilliant, very easy to use and extremely quick. I was wondering if anyone has been using it in production and have any views on it's reliability, performance suitability for operational management etc ?? I am considering using it to support a service layer and would make use of its replication functionality.
Any comments/experiences would be most welcome.
I have an android application in which once when I call requestFocus() to a view I want to go to that view in an animated way (for eg: in an accelerated way, or a slow animation). All my views are in a ScrollView.
I have a language toggle in my app and it would be really easy to manage if when the user switches language I could present an activityIndicator and reinitialize all the views of the app with the new language default. Sort of how the iPhone settings manage language changes. Is there an easy way to do this?
