• How to quickly switch between extended desktop and Eyefinity on ATI cards?

  Eyefinity is great for games but extended desktop is better for normal work. How do I set up quick switching between those two modes? I've heard that it can be achieved using "Profiles" in Catalyst Control Center - I've found something called "Presets" in the latest 11.x version but can't figure it out (settings not being stored and applied properly). Can someone provided step by step instructions please?

When I visit a site in Firefox 15 I have two different behaviours when: Pressing enter in the address bar Pressing F5 or the refresh button If I look in the network console I can see that F5 does a lot more requests, most of them about cached resources and with a 304-Not Modified answer. Is there's any shortcut to make a quick refresh? Just like pressing enter on the address bar.

Every how to on the web I've found is at least two years old and is based on a mod-security addon function in cPanel which doesn't exist anymore. There are a couple of free add ons to simplify selecting rule files (configserver's for example) but there's no documentation on which rules a cPanel system "should" be using and so on.

  What I want to do is have a batch file search folders, and subfolders, for matching file names that are ending in .mp3 and .wma and delete or move the *.wma duplicates.   For example I made check box in A1 with "=$B$1" So now, when I click it the "TRUE", "FALSE" text appears depending if check box is checked or not. The problem starts when I want to duplicate those two to more rows. Now every check box makes the B1 text to change, not the one it represents as in check box A1 should change B1 text, check box in cell A2 should change B2 text and so on, but now all check boxes change the same B1 text. Is there any workaround?

  We backup a set of virtual machines to an external USB drive using rsync -a. The source directory is 145G as reported by du -sh, but the target is reporting 181G. The two file systems are ext3 and the block size is the same, so can someone explain what the discrepancy is?

I'm particularly thinking of moving windows using Alt + Drag and drop (which can be changed to Win + drag and drop). • Mesh Remote Desktop crashes 64 bit Windows 7 VM (8 GB)

  I have a Windows 7 VirtualBox VM (64 bit, 8 GB) on a Snow Leopard host (64 bit, 24 GB). It works fine until I connect via Microsoft Mesh. When I connect via Mesh remote desktop, the VM crashes about one or two minutes after the connection has been established. It doesn't answer to pings (from the host and from other machines in the network) and no RDC connections (from other Windows machines in the network where Mesh works) are possible. Any ideas?

  I have decided to get a new Dell Studio 15 laptop. They have an option of adding a "ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570, 512MB" card for an extra $100 instead of the included "Intel HD Graphics" card. How do the two compare? The laptop comes with an Intel Core i3 processor, maybe the Intel graphics card would be more compatible with the processor since they're made by the same manufacturer?   My server running is Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.54-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux. About once a day, sometimes once every two days is shut down - It isn't really shut down, it seems like its sleeping - Power button is blinking, but I cannot boot it by clicking on power or reset button, I must pull electricity out and plug it back in, then I can boot it.   For two months I've been running Ubuntu 11.10 64bits in VirtualBox 4.1.12r77245 but today everything has been really slow, freezing all the time. I've had to restart the VM about 7 times already because Ubuntu just freezed in the middle of a task. I'm using my laptop, it's a LG P420 i5 with 4gb ram. Both servers' basic specs are: CPU: 32GHz = 2x Intel Xeon X5650, 6 core, 2.66GHz and RAM: 24GB per server (edited) How determine what speed of Infiniband will be enough for perfect interconnection? SDR, DDR, QDR or FDR? My logic is 32Ghz = 32Gb/s and 40Gb one is enough, am I right or it is not that simple?
