  • Use a styleshhet when NOT IE

    - by Sam Gregory
    When i use this code <!--[if IE 6]> <link rel="stylesheet" href="ie6.css" type="text/css" /> <![endif]--> <!--[if !IE]> <link rel="stylesheet" href="not_ie.css" type="text/css" /> <![endif]--> IE 6 does correctly use the specified stylesheet but all other browsers ignore both when they should be using the one that basically states, use this stylesheet if you are not IE. Any ideas?

  • openDatabase Hello World

    - by cf_PhillipSenn
    I'm trying to learn about openDatabase, and I think this I'm getting it to INSERT INTO TABLE1, but I can't verify that the SELECT * FROM TABLE1 is working. <html> <head> <script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> google.load("jquery", "1"); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var db; $(function(){ db = openDatabase('HelloWorld'); db.transaction( function(transaction) { transaction.executeSql( 'CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS Table1 ' + ' (TableID INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT, ' + ' Field1 TEXT NOT NULL );' ); } ); db.transaction( function(transaction) { transaction.executeSql( 'SELECT * FROM Table1;',function (transaction, result) { for (var i=0; i < result.rows.length; i++) { alert('1'); $('body').append(result.rows.item(i)); } }, errorHandler ); } ); $('form').submit(function() { var xxx = $('#xxx').val(); db.transaction( function(transaction) { transaction.executeSql( 'INSERT INTO Table1 (Field1) VALUES (?);', [xxx], function(){ alert('Saved!'); }, errorHandler ); } ); return false; }); }); function errorHandler(transaction, error) { alert('Oops.   • highlighting search results in php error

    - by fusion
    i'm trying to figure out what is wrong in this code. it either doesn't highlight the search result OR it outputs html tags surrounding the highlighted text. . $search_result = ""; $search_result = trim($search_result); $special_cases = array( '%', '_', '+' ); $search_result = str_replace( $special_cases, '', $_GET["q"] ); //Check if the string is empty if ($search_result == "") { echo "<p>Search Error</p><p>Please enter a search...</p>" ; exit(); } $result = mysql_query('SELECT cQuotes, vAuthor, cArabic, vReference FROM thquotes WHERE cQuotes LIKE "%' . mysql_real_escape_string($search_result) .'%" ORDER BY idQuotes DESC', $conn) or die ('Error: '.mysql_error()); //eliminating special characters function h($s) { echo htmlspecialchars($s, ENT_QUOTES); } function highlightWords($string, $word) { $string = str_replace($word, "<span style='background-color: #FFE066;font-weight:bold;'>".$word."</span>", $string); /*** return the highlighted string ***/ return $string; } ?> <div class="caption">Search Results</div> <div class="center_div"> <table> <?php while ($row= mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { $cQuote = highlightWords($row['cQuotes'], $search_result); ?> <tr> <td style="text-align:right; font-size:15px;"><?php h($row['cArabic']); ?></td> <td style="font-size:16px;"><?php h($cQuote); ?></td> <td style="font-size:12px;"><?php h($row['vAuthor']); ?></td> <td style="font-size:12px; font-style:italic; text-align:right;"><?php h($row['vReference']); ?></td> </tr> <?php } ?> </table> </div> on the browser, it is outputted as: A good <span style='background-color: #FFE066;font-weight:bold;'>action</span> is an ever-remaining store and a pure yield or if a div is used with class: A good <div class='highlight'>action</div> is an ever-remaining store and a pure yield

  • fstream stopping math.h from working

    - by CaptainProg
    I am creating a program in C++ in which I need to read a text file in. I have included the fstream header file, which allows me to open the file, but having added the include, I now receive countless errors relating to math.h functions. Examples: 1>c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\cmath(19): error C2061: syntax error : identifier 'acosf' 1>c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 10.0\vc\include\cmath(19): error C2059: syntax error : ';' Is there any way I can include the text file reading functions of fstream without compromising the math.h functions? And why does this conflict occur anyway? /Edit/ It seems the errors are in the cmath standard header file. It is nothing I have access to, but for the sake of completion, here is the code that is causing the errors: using _CSTD acosf; using _CSTD asinf; using _CSTD atanf; using _CSTD atan2f; using _CSTD ceilf; (etcetera)

  • Check if row already exists, if so tell the referenced table the id

    - by flhe
    Let's assume I have a table magazine: CREATE TABLE magazine ( magazine_id integer NOT NULL DEFAULT nextval(('public.magazine_magazine_id_seq'::text)::regclass), longname character varying(1000), shortname character varying(200), issn character varying(9), CONSTRAINT pk_magazine PRIMARY KEY (magazine_id) ); And another table issue: CREATE TABLE issue ( issue_id integer NOT NULL DEFAULT nextval(('public.issue_issue_id_seq'::text)::regclass), number integer, year integer, volume integer, fk_magazine_id integer, CONSTRAINT pk_issue PRIMARY KEY (issue_id), CONSTRAINT fk_magazine_id FOREIGN KEY (fk_magazine_id) REFERENCES magazine (magazine_id) MATCH SIMPLE ON UPDATE NO ACTION ON DELETE NO ACTION ); Current INSERTS: INSERT INTO magazine (longname,shotname,issn) VALUES ('a long name','ee','1111-2222'); INSERT INTO issue (fk_magazine_id,number,year,volume) VALUES (currval('magazine_magazine_id_seq'),'8','1982','6'); Now a row should only be inserted into 'magazine', if it does not already exist. However if it exists, the table 'issue' needs to get the 'magazine_id' of the row that already exists in order to establish the reference. How can i do this? Thx in advance!

  • expand div with focus-jquery

    - by Joel
    Hi guys, I'm revisiting this after a few weeks, because I could never get it to work before, and hoping to now. Please look at this website-notice the newsletter signup form at the top right. http://www.rattletree.com I am wanting it to look exactly this way for now, but when the user clicks in the box to enter their email address, the containing div will expand (or simply appear) above the email field to also include a "name" and "city" field. I'm using jquery liberally in the sight, so that is at my disposal. This form is in the header so any id info, etc can't be withing the body tag... This is what I have so far: <div class="outeremailcontainer"> <div id="emailcontainer"> <?php include('verify.php'); ?> <form action="index_success.php" method="post" id="sendEmail" class="email"> <h3 class="register2">Newsletter Signup:</h3> <ul class="forms email"> <li class="email"><label for="emailFrom">Email: </label> <input type="text" name="emailFrom" class="info" id="emailFrom" value="<?= $_POST['emailFrom']; ?>" /> <?php if(isset($emailFromError)) echo '<span class="error">'.$emailFromError.'</span>'; ?> </li> <li class="buttons email"> <button type="submit" id="submit">Send</button> <input type="hidden" name="submitted" id="submitted" value="true" /> </li> </ul> </form> <div class="clearing"> </div> </div> css: p.emailbox{ text-align:center; margin:0; } p.emailbox:first-letter { font-size: 120%; font-weight: bold; } .outeremailcontainer { height:60px; width: 275px; background-image:url(/images/feather_email2.jpg); /*background-color:#fff;*/ text-align:center; /* margin:-50px 281px 0 auto ; */ float:right; position:relative; z-index:1; } form.email{ position:relative; } #emailcontainer { margin:0; padding: 0 auto; z-index:1000; display:block; position:relative; } Thanks for any help!   • How to print an Objectified Element?

    - by BeeBand
    I have xml of the format: <channel> <games> <game slot='1'> <id>Bric A Bloc</id> <title-text>BricABloc Hoorah</title-text> <link>Fruit Splat</link> </game> </games> </channel> I've parsed this xml using lxml.objectify, via: tree = objectify.parse(file) There will potentially be a number of <game>s underneath <games>. I understand that I can generate a list of <game> objects via: [ tree.games[0].game[0:4] ] My question is, what class are those objects and is there a function to print any object of whatever class these objects belong to?

  • scaleX scaleY increeasing left, top margin, and line spacing

    - by Mark
    If you have Text with a font that is 72 point for example (and scaleX scaleY = 1) you can achieve the same size with a font size of 12 and scaleX,scaleY = 6. For reasons that would take too long to explain I am applying a large scale factor as in the latter example. The problem is, even though the text is the same size, the line spacing and left and top margins have all been increased but I want them to be the same size as well. As far as the line spacing, I discovered that TextFormat.leading was being automatically increased when scaleX, scaleY was greater than 1, so I just had to reset TextFormat.leading back to 0. That leaves the left and top margins, and I have no idea how those are being increased. I tried TextFormat.blockIndent=0 and TextFormat.leftMargin=0 (and also ingnorePadding=true) and it had no effect. And have no clue how to reset the top margin either to its orginal size, in case anyone has an idea for all these.

  • XML jQuery Problem

    - by Llamabomber
    This code for parsing my xml and appending via jquery seems to work great in every browser but Chrome (Mac only, the windows version of chrome works fine) and explorer. I'm not aware of any glaring issues in the code so I thought some fresh eyes might help. Anyone know what could be causing IE and Chrome on the mac to not append? <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $(document).ready(function() { $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "sitenav.xml", dataType: "xml", success: parseXml }); function parseXml(xml) { $(xml).find("GoogleAnalytics").each(function() { $("li#google_analytics").append('<ul><li>' + $(this).find("NavHeader").text() + '</li></ul>'); }); } }); </script>

  • ListBox content does not resize when window is made smaller

    - by DamonGant
    I'm using .NET 4.0 (not .NET 4.0 CP) and have run into this kinda unique issue. I created a ListBox to display bound elements, first off here is (a part) of my XAML. <Grid Grid.Row="2" Background="#EEEEEE"> <Border Margin="6,10,10,10" BorderBrush="#666666" BorderThickness="1"> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding}" Name="appList" BorderThickness="0" HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="80" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Border Grid.Column="0" Margin="5" BorderThickness="3" CornerRadius="2" BorderBrush="Black" HorizontalAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Top" x:Name="ItemBorder"> <Image Width="64" Height="64" Source="{Binding Path=IconUri}" Stretch="UniformToFill" /> </Border> <StackPanel Margin="0,5,5,5" Grid.Column="1" Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <TextBlock FontSize="18" Text="{Binding Path=DisplayName}" /> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="60"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ProgressBar Grid.Column="0" Height="24" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" IsIndeterminate="{Binding Path=IsDiscovering}" Value="{Binding Path=PercentageDownloaded}" /> <TextBlock Grid.Column="1" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center"><TextBlock x:Name="percentageDownloaded" /><TextBlock x:Name="percentageMeter">%</TextBlock></TextBlock> </Grid> </StackPanel> </Grid> <DataTemplate.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Path=IsDiscovering}"> <DataTrigger.Value>True</DataTrigger.Value> <Setter TargetName="percentageDownloaded" Property="Text" Value="N/A" /> <Setter TargetName="percentageMeter" Property="Visibility" Value="Collapsed" /> </DataTrigger> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Path=IsDiscovering}"> <DataTrigger.Value>False</DataTrigger.Value> <Setter TargetName="percentageDownloaded" Property="Text" Value="{Binding Path=PercentageDownloaded}" /> <Setter TargetName="percentageMeter" Property="Visibility" Value="Visible" /> </DataTrigger> </DataTemplate.Triggers> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> </Border> </Grid> Sizing the window up stretches the ListBox content just fine, but when I size it down, it retains it's width and spawns vertical scrollbars.

  • Looking for Open-Source or Licensed Personalised Greeting Card software

    - by Mr Pablo
    Before I jump in at the very deep end and try to make my own version of Moon Pig (www.moonpig.com) I would like to know what (if any) software/platforms currently exist that allow for visitors to personalise cards with text and uploaded photos and then purchase printed versions all via a single e-Commerce style platform. I have Googled till my fingers bled and I cannot find anything that matches my needs, which are: admin can provide templates (backgrounds) for the cards users can customise the card with text (font style and colour) users can upload their own photos (minor editing e.g. crop) to insert into the cards user can purchase a printed card via credit card payment Seeing as this kind of e-Commerce has been around for a while now, I would have thought there were some systems to purchase that can provide this functionality?

  • Creating ostream manipulators for a specific class

    - by petersohn
    I have a class that is derived from ostream: class my_ostream: public std::ostream { // ... } I want to make a manipulator (for example do_something), that works specifically to this class, like this: my_ostream s; s << "some text" << do_something << "some more text"; I did the following: std::ostream &do_something(std::ostream &os) { my_ostream *s = dynamic_cast<my_ostream*>(&os); if (s != NULL) { // do something } return os; } This works, but is rather ugly. I tried the following: my_ostream &do_something(my_ostream &s) { // do something return s; } This doesn't work. I also tried another approach: class my_ostream: public std::ostream { // ... my_ostream &operator<<(const do_something & x) { // do something return *this; } } This still doesn't work.

  • How to retrieve path for a file embedded in Resources (Resource Manager)

    - by curiousone
    I am trying to retrieve file path for a html file that is embedded in resource (resx file) in VS2008 C# project. I want to give path of this file to native webbrowser control (PIEHtml) to be able to navigate (DTM_NAVIGATE) in my application. I know I can pass the string to this control using DTM_ADDTEXTW but since html text size is so big, I dont want to pass string to the control. I need to somehow extract the file path for this html file embedded inside resource manager. I tried using but this does not give the file path of html inside assembly: private ResourceManager resManager = new ResourceManager("AppName.FolderName.FileName", System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly()); this.lbl.Text = resManager.GetString("StringInResources"); and also read Retrieving Resources in Satellite Assemblies but it did not solve my problem. Can somebody please provide info as to how to achieve this ?

  • Regexp to add attribute in any xml tags

    - by katsuo11
    Hello, I have well-formed xml documents into string variables. I want to use preg_replace to add a defined attribute to every xml tags. For example replace: <tag1> <tag2> some text </tag2> </tag1> by: <tag1 attr="myAttr"> <tag2 attr="myAttr"> some text </tag2> </tag1> So I basically need the regex expression to find any start tags and add my attribute, but I'm a complete regex noob. Thanks, kats

  • Problem on creating font using a custom ant task, which extends LWUIT's FontTask.

    - by Smithy
    Hi. I am new to LWUIT and j2me, and I am building a j2me application for showing Japanese text vertically. The phonetic symbol part of the text should be shown in relatively small font size (about half the size of the text), small Kanas need to be shown as normal ones, and some 'vertical only' characters need to be put into the Private Use Area, etc. I tried to build this font into a bitmap font using the FontTask ant task LWUIT provided, but found that it does support the customizations mentioned above. So I decided to write my own task and add those. Below is what I have achieved: 1 An ant task extending the LWUITTask task to support a new nested element <verticalfont>. public class VerticalFontBuildTask extends LWUITTask { public void addVerticalfont(VerticalFontTask anVerticalFont) { super.addFont(anVerticalFont); } } 2 The VerticalFontTask task, which extends the original FontTask. Instead of inserting a EditorFont object, it inserts a VerticalEditorFont object(derived from EditorFont) into the resource. public class VerticalFontTask extends FontTask { // some constants are omitted public VerticalFontTask() { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.append(UPPER_ALPHABET); sb.append(UPPER_ALPHABET.toLowerCase()); sb.append(HALFWIDTH); sb.append(HIRAGANA); sb.append(HIRAGANA_SMALL); sb.append(KATAKANA); sb.append(KATAKANA_SMALL); sb.append(WIDE); this.setCharset(sb.toString()); } @Override public void addToResources(EditableResources e) { log("Putting rigged font into resource..."); super.addToResources(e); //antialias settings Object aa = this.isAntiAliasing() ? RenderingHints.VALUE_TEXT_ANTIALIAS_ON :RenderingHints.VALUE_TEXT_ANTIALIAS_OFF; VerticalEditorFont ft = new VerticalEditorFont( Font.createSystemFont( this.systemFace, this.systemStyle, this.systemSize), null, getLogicalName(), isCreateBitmap(), aa, getCharset()); e.setFont(getName(), ft); } VerticalEditorFont is just a bunch of methods logging to output and call the super. I am still trying to figure out how to extend it. But things are not going well: none of the methods on the VerticalEditorFont object get called when executing this task. My questions are: 1 where did I do wrong? 2 I want to embed a truetype font to support larger screens. I only need a small part of the font inside my application and I don't want it to carry a font resource weighing 1~2MB. Is there a way to extract only the characters needed and pack them into LWUIT?

  • Are there .NET Framework methods to parse an email (MIME)?

    - by Neil C. Obremski
    Is there a class or set of functions built into the .NET Framework (3.5+) to parse raw emails (MIME documents)? I am not looking for anything fancy or a separate library, it needs to be built-in. I'm going to be using this in some unit tests and need only grab the main headers of interest (To, From, Subject) along with the body (which in this case will always be text and therefore no MIME trees or boundaries). I've written several MIME parsers in the past and if there isn't anything readily available, I'll just put together something from regular expressions. It would be great to be able to do something like: MailMessage msg = MailMessage.Parse(text); Thoughts?

  • Difference between these two ways of localizing a string in an aspx/ascx file?

    - by Brandon
    When I started localizing a website the first time, I just did the localization like this: <%= Resources.ResourceFile.ResourceName %> and it seems to work perfectly fine. However, the ReSharper 5.0 Beta does it like this: <asp:Localize Text="<%$ Resources: ResourceFile, ResourceName %>" runat="server"> Value </asp:Localize> Does it matter which way it gets done? If it doesn't matter, is there any way to make ReSharper do it the way I'm doing it? I kind of prefer it this way since it is less text in the aspx/ascx files.

  • How to get user input for 2 digit data

    - by oneMinute
    In a HTML form user is expect to fill / select some data and trigger an action probably a http-post. If your only requested data field is a "2 digit" you can use html text input element get some data. Then you want to make it useful; enable user easily select data from a 'html select' But not all of your data is well-ordered so eye-searching within these data is somehow cumbersome. Because your data is meaningful with its relations. If there is no primary key for foreign key "12" it should not be shown. Vice versa if this foreign key occurs a lot, then it has some weight and could be displayed with more importance. So, what will be your way? a) Use text input to get data and validate it with regex, javascript, ... b) Use some dropdown select. c) Any other way ? Any answer will appreciated :)

  • Storing unique ID in UITableViewCell

    - by culov
    I have a table where there will often be two cells with the same title. I'm zooming in on a map whenever a cell in the table is clicked, so using the title as a unique identifier is out of the question. I already have a unique identifier, but I need to find a way to store it in a UITableViewCell object. I have been considering two options, both of which are poor, IMO. 1) store the unique ID as the text inside the text of the detailTextLabel property. 2) build a custom UITableViewCell class. I'm new to objective C, and I would essentially like to know if theres a third option that isnt as inefficient as #1, but not as involved as #2. Thanks
