  • Convert in-memory pdf to byte[]

    I'm writing a websercive in C# that will generate pdf-files and send back to the caller as a byte[]. The pdf file is generated using a third party component, but I'm struggling with the conversion. The pdf is just an in-memory object in the web service, and I can't find any good way of converting the generated pdf to a byte[] before returning it to the caller. Any advice on this?

  • Find user independent TEMP directory with Java

    Hi, when running a Java application as service with the user 'LocalService', the temp directory ("java.io.tmpdir") points to 'c:/windows/temp' (for example). Running a Java application normally gives 'c:/documents and settings/user/local settings/temp' instead. How can I determine the user independent temp folder 'c:/windows/temp' when my application runs normally? Thanks and greetings, GHad

    my laptop is starting up and produces the normal screen due to abrupt power failure and when i click to start normally or in safe mode, the blue screen splashes and then disappears and then it tries to reboot again and the same problem takes place. it was running on xp service pack 2. could anyone help

I would like to create a visualization of this graph, and let users drag around it, the same way that users can drag the image of Google or Bing maps around.     Hi, I have devloped an application which connects the database thrugh WCF + LINQ. I am able invoke the service from my asp.net application successfuly. But the problem here is that, when i navigate from end to end in my application almost after four or five clicks, i am getting the late response and says channel timed out error.     I have to install windows service using Visual Studio. Target location for the install is handled by “DefaultLocation” property in Visual Studio setup project. I had used [AppDataFolder] tag to install the application. As the result, it has been installed in “C:\Users[username]\AppData*Roaming*” folder. I can not figure out how to modify “DefaultLocation” property in such a way that application will be installed in C:\Users[username]\AppData*Local* folder. Any idea how to accomplish that?

    I'm now writing a Bonjour service listener class, according to the document here: Currently, it seems working, I can receive "netServiceBrowserWillSearch:" and "didFindService:moreComing:" correctly. However, after a long wait, I cannot receive " netServiceBrowserDidStopSearch:" or "netServiceBrowser:didNotSearch:". Therefore I don't know that is the proper time for my delegate class to stop showing some UI. Could anyone have an idea for this? Thanks.
