  • Android Extend BaseExpandableListAdapter

    - by Robert Mills
    I am trying to extend the BaseExpandableListAdapter, however when once I view the list and I select one of the elements to expand, the order of the list gets reversed. For example, if I have a list with 4 elements and select the 1st element, the order (from top to bottom) is now 4, 3, 2, 1 with the 4th element (now at the top) expanded. If I unexpand the 4th element the order reverts to 1, 2, 3, 4 with no expanded elements. Here is my implementation:`public class SensorExpandableAdapter extends BaseExpandableListAdapter { private static final int FILTER_POSITION = 0; private static final int FUNCTION_POSITION = 1; private static final int NUMBER_OF_CHILDREN = 2; ArrayList mParentGroups; private Context mContext; private LayoutInflater mInflater; public SensorExpandableAdapter(ArrayList<SensorType> parentGroup, Context context) { mParentGroups = parentGroup; mContext = context; mInflater = LayoutInflater.from(mContext); } @Override public Object getChild(int groupPosition, int childPosition) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub if(childPosition == FILTER_POSITION) return "filter"; else return "function"; } @Override public long getChildId(int groupPosition, int childPosition) { return childPosition; } @Override public View getChildView(int groupPosition, int childPosition, boolean isLastChild, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { if(convertView == null) { //do something convertView = (RelativeLayout)mInflater.inflate(R.layout.sensor_row_list_item, parent, false); if(childPosition == FILTER_POSITION) { ((CheckBox)convertView.findViewById(R.id.chkTextAddFilter)).setText("Add Filter"); } else { ((CheckBox)convertView.findViewById(R.id.chkTextAddFilter)).setText("Add Function"); ((CheckBox)convertView.findViewById(R.id.chkTextAddFilter)).setEnabled(false); } } return convertView; } @Override public int getChildrenCount(int groupPosition) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return NUMBER_OF_CHILDREN; } @Override public Object getGroup(int groupPosition) { return mParentGroups.get(groupPosition); } @Override public int getGroupCount() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return mParentGroups.size(); } @Override public long getGroupId(int groupPosition) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return groupPosition; } @Override public View getGroupView(int groupPosition, boolean isExpanded, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { if(convertView == null) { convertView = mInflater.inflate(android.R.layout.simple_expandable_list_item_1, parent, false); TextView tv = ((TextView)convertView.findViewById(android.R.id.text1)); tv.setText(mParentGroups.get(groupPosition).toString()); } return convertView; } @Override public boolean hasStableIds() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return true; } @Override public boolean isChildSelectable(int groupPosition, int childPosition) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return true; } } ` I just need to take a simple ArrayList of my own SensorType class. The children are the same for all classes, just two. Also, how do I go about making the parent in each group LongClickable? I have tried in my ExpandableListActivity with this getExpandableListView().setOnLongClickableListener() ... and on the parent TextView set its OnLongClickableListener but neither works. Any help on either of these is greatly appreciated!

  • Maven + SSDM Build and Runtime Environment Automation

    - by Randy
    Preface: My Company, like most, has several run-time environments and several release versions which themselves are composed of different versions of various jars. For example, let us consider release versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 of Software X, which may be deployed to a developer computer, testing, or production. Software-x-1.1 is itself composed of jarA-0.9.1 and jarB-0.7.5, but software-x-1.3 is composed of jarA-1.7.31 and jarB-0.8.1. Currently we use Spring's PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer to configure run-time variables (such as database credentials), however, properties also change with release versions. We also use Maven 2 POM version 4 to specify which versions of our code need to be used. We place the version numbers of our jars as properties within profiles (dev,test,prod) inside of the parent pom and then reference those version numbers in all project poms. As of right now, we have no way to specify which project versions pertain to a given release other than the most current one. Moreover, we deploy our run-time configurations to the SSDM pickup which then configures and creates the services defined by the built versions of our software. -- Questions: Is there any procedure/tool we can use to build our product by merely providing the run-time environment and version number? IE "build 1.1 dev"? Is there anyway we can store the required jar versions for each release build? We are currently versioning all files, including the parent pom, but merely versioning the parent pom does not record which release version is pertinent to that parent pom. What else can we do to further automate the process of builds? For example, if we could manage run-time configurations within the parent pom that would be a step in the right direction, but that seems like a violation of scope. Any tool outside of our framework is inconceivable at this point, but not in the far future. Summary: How can we automate our build process to the fullest extent without being error prone?

  • How to specify physical path in ASPX page?

    - by salvationishere
    I am developing a C# VS 2008 / SQL Server 2008 ASP.NET Web Applications project. In one of my ASPX files I am trying to reference the Master file, which is actually located in the parent website. In other words, when I open the parent website, I see this project listed. But when I open this project separately, I do not see parent website and this project is the root. So now how do I use the Master file from the parent website? Currently, I have in my ASPX file: <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.Master" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="EnhancedCreateUserWizard.aspx.cs" Inherits="Membership_EnhancedCreateUserWizard" Title="Untitled Page" %> But this won't work because it is a virtual path and since this project is the root, I can't access the Master file virtually. Instead I want to specify physical path. How accomplish I do this?

  • Ruby (and Rails) nested module syntax

    - by brad
    I'm wondering what the difference is between the following two modules # First Example module Parent module Child end end and # Second Example module Parent::Child end Using the 2nd method, it appears as though the Parent module must be previously defined, otherwise I get an 'uninitialized constant' error Given this, what is the preferred way of defining modules such as this and then adding nested children with regards to syntax and file structure (ie. folders etc). Reference to a Rails way would be greatly appreciated. Are these two examples for all intents and purposes equivalent?

  • Relocating html elements with jquery

    - by Steven
    Could someone help me with this code? I'm trying to rearrange figures in a certain div into two columns (a and b) in such a way the two columns are about the same height. I've got insane trying to find the problem in my code and not finding it. It doesn't work for a reason... <body onload="rearrangeImages();"> <div class="images"> <figure> <figcaption>This is the figcaption of this figure. An image is missing for this test.</figcaption> </figure> <figure> <figcaption>This is the figcaption of this figure.</figcaption> </figure> <figure> <figcaption>Another one.</figcaption> </figure> </div> <script> function rearrangeImages() { $('.images').each(function() { $(this).prepend('<div class="column_b"></div>'); $(this).prepend('<div class="column_a"></div>'); $(this).append('<div class="test_div"></div>'); $('figure', this).each(function() { var height_a = $(this).parent().$(".column_a").height(); var height_b = $(this).parent().$(".column_b").height(); if (height_a > height_b) { $(this).parent().$(".column_b").append(this); } else { $(this).parent().$(".column_a").append(this); } $(this).remove(); }); }); } </script> </body> Next I would like to be able to make the last figure not going in any of the columns in case it would make column_b higher than column_a. (pseudocode) if (this is last figure) { //place last figure in test_div to measure its height; if (height_a > height_b + height_of_last_image) { $(this).parent().$(".column_b").append(this); } else { $(this).parent().append(this); } } else { //do the normal stuff see higher }

  • Why Response.Write behavior varies in the given scenario?

    - by Sri Kumar
    Hello All, When i POST the page using the following code, the Response.write("Hey") doesn't write the content ("Hello") to the parent page <form method="post" name="upload" enctype="multipart/form-data" action="http://localhost:2518/Web/CrossPage.aspx?cmd=getvalue" > <input type="file" name="filename" /> <input type="submit" value="Upload Data File" name="cmdSubmit" /> </form> But When i use following code , and POST the data, the Response.write("Hey") can be obtained in the parent page HttpWebRequest requestToSender = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://localhost:2518/Web/CrossPage.aspx?cmd=getvalue"); requestToSender.Method = "POST"; requestToSender.ContentType = "multipart/form-data"; HttpWebResponse responseFromSender = (HttpWebResponse)requestToSender.GetResponse(); string fromSender = string.Empty; using (StreamReader responseReader = new StreamReader(responseFromSender.GetResponseStream())) { fromSender = responseReader.ReadToEnd(); } In the CrossPage.aspx i have the following code if (!Page.IsPostBack) { NameValueCollection postPageCollection = Request.Form; foreach (string name in postPageCollection.AllKeys) { Response.Write(name + " " + postPageCollection[name]); } HttpFileCollection postCollection = Request.Files; foreach (string name in postCollection.AllKeys) { HttpPostedFile aFile = postCollection[name]; aFile.SaveAs(Server.MapPath(".") + "/" + Path.GetFileName(aFile.FileName)); } Response.Write("Hey"); } I don't have any code in the Page_Load event of parent page.? What could be the cause? I need to write the "hey" to the Parent page using the first scenario. Both the application are of different domain. Edit: "Hey" would be from the CrossPage.aspx. I need to write this back to the Parent Page

  • Design pattern for extending Android's activities?

    - by Carl
    While programming on Android, I end up writing a parent activity which is extended by several others. A bit like ListActivity. My parent activity extends Activity. if I intend to use a Map or a List, I can't use my parent activity as superclass - the child activity can only extend one activity obviously. As such I end up writing my parent activities with the same logic for Activity, ListActivity, MapActivity and so forth. What am I looking for is some sort of trait functionality/design pattern which would help in this case. Any suggestions?

  • Me As Child Type In General Function

    - by Steven
    I have a MustInherit Parent class with two Child classes which Inherit from the Parent. How can I use (or Cast) Me in a Parent function as the the child type of that instance? EDIT: My actual goal is to be able to serialize (BinaryFormatter.Serialize(Stream, Object)) either of my child classes. However, "repeating the code" in each child "seems" wrong. EDIT2: This is my Serialize function. Where should I implement this function? Copying and pasting to each child doesn't seem right, but casting the parent to a child doesn't seem right either. Public Function Serialize() As Byte() Dim bFmt As New BinaryFormatter() Dim mStr As New MemoryStream() bFmt.Serialize(mStr, Me) Return mStr.ToArray() End Function

  • Getting a JFrame's actual current location

    - by Ian Fellows
    Hello community, I am trying to create a (child) JFrame which slides out from underneath one side of a second (parent) JFrame. The goal is to then have the child follow the parent around when it is moved, and respond to resizing events. This is somewhat related to this question. I have tried using a ComponentListener, but with this method the child only moves once the parent has come to a stop, whereas I would like the child to move as the parent is dragged around the screen. Another option I attempted was to start a new refresher thread that continually updated the child's location using getLocation() or getLocationOnScreen(), but the lag was the same as with ComponentListener. Is there a way to get the true actual location of a JFrame even in the midst of a drag? or if not, is there a way to get the effect of a sheet sliding out from underneath and following the Frame around?

  • Child control view model event

    Hi, I seem to have got stuck in a situation where I have a parent and child usercontrol. I want to be able to raise an event in the child and have the parent handle this event. How do I trigger the event in my child view model and handle it in the parent view model. If anybody has a simple example that would be really good. Thanks very much.

  • How do I make this Query against EF Efficient?

    - by dudeNumber4
    Using EF4. Assume I have this: IQueryable<ParentEntity> qry = myRepository.GetParentEntities(); Int32 n = 1; What I want to do is this, but EF can't compare against null. qry.Where( parent => parent.Children.Where( child => child.IntCol == n ) != null ) What works is this, but the SQL it produces (as you would imagine) is pretty inefficient: qry.Where( parent => parent.Children.Where( child => child.IntCol == n ).FirstOrDefault().IntCol == n ) How can I do something like the first comparison to null that won't be generating nested queries and so forth?

Thanks in advance!

  • How to create a dynamic number of possibly children objects using partial views?

    - by NullReference
    I have a parent object that contains a property that is a list of children objects. I'd like to have it so that when the form loads to create the parent object a partial view is used to create the list of child objects. The problem is I have to idea how to have the list of children object populated. I can do one object ok, but a dynamic list of possible children is difficult. Any ideas? @Html.RenderPartial("_CreateChild", Model.Children); public class Parent { private List<Child> _list; public Guid Id { get; set; } public List<Child> Children { get { return _list; } set { _list = value; } } public Parent() { _list = new List<Child>(); } }

  • How to find rows between other rows w/ID then add class

    - by Ravex
    Hi guys. i'm stuck with my table. need create toggle rows function. but i no idea how to find sub rows in table. Some one can help me? I have table with many rows 500 All Rows have class="row-1,row-2.....row-600 etc" And all main rows also have class="parent" between each "parent" rows i have 6 rows So i need for toggle/collapse purposes find all (sub)rows betwen parent rows. and add class with id like in prevous parent row. For example: parent have class="row-1 parent" all sub must have - class="child-row-1" default table <table id="table"> <tr class="row-1 odd parent"> <th class="column-1">st. 3 - 5</th> <th class="column-2">Profile</th> <th class="column-3">Purpose</th> </tr> <tr class="row-2 even"> <td class="column-1">Metal Stamp</td> <td class="column-2">Width</td> <td class="column-3">Price</td> </tr> <tr class="row-3 odd"> <td class="column-1">Circle 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">28-110</td> <td class="column-3">21500</td> </tr> <tr class="row-4 even"> <td class="column-1">Circle 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">115-180</td> <td class="column-3">20700</td> </tr> <tr class="row-5 odd"> <td class="column-1">Cube 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">63-80</td> <td class="column-3">21500</td> </tr> <tr class="row-6 even"> <td class="column-1">Cube 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">100-220</td> <td class="column-3">20700</td> </tr> <tr class="row-7 odd"> <td class="column-1">Line 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">10-50 ? 40-200</td> <td class="column-3">27000</td> </tr> </table> in the end it should look like this: <table id="table"> <tr class="row-1 odd parent"> <th class="column-1">st. 3 - 5</th> <th class="column-2">Profile</th> <th class="column-3">Purpose</th> </tr> <tr class="row-2 even child-row-1"> <td class="column-1">Metal Stamp</td> <td class="column-2">Width</td> <td class="column-3">Price</td> </tr> <tr class="row-3 odd child-row-1"> <td class="column-1">Circle 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">28-110</td> <td class="column-3">21500</td> </tr> <tr class="row-4 even child-row-1"> <td class="column-1">Circle 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">115-180</td> <td class="column-3">20700</td> </tr> <tr class="row-5 odd child-row-1"> <td class="column-1">Cube 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">63-80</td> <td class="column-3">21500</td> </tr> <tr class="row-6 even child-row-1"> <td class="column-1">Cube 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">100-220</td> <td class="column-3">20700</td> </tr> <tr class="row-7 odd child-row-1"> <td class="column-1">Line 3 - 5</td> <td class="column-2">10-50 ? 40-200</td> <td class="column-3">27000</td> </tr> </table>

  • LIMIT amount of rows fetched by JOIN

    How do i LIMIT the child rows fetched to only 5? Here is the SQLfiddle http://sqlfiddle.com/#!2/bd96a/2. Right now it fetches all rows with parentid='4' and parentid='14'. It should only fetch 5 of each parentid. Assuming i have hundreds of rows, it should only fetch a max of 5 for each parentid. • Slow Response in checkbox using JQuery

    - by Dean
    Hi to all. I'm trying to optimize a website. The flow is i tried to query a certain table and all of its data entry in a page(w/ toolbars), work fine. When i tried to edit the page the problem is when i click the checkbox button i have to wait 2-5sec just by clicking it. I limit the viewing of entry to 5 only but the response on checkbox doesn't change. The tables have 100 entries in them. function checkAccess(celDiv,id) { var celValue = $(celDiv).html(); if (celValue==1) $(celDiv).html("<input type='checkbox' value='"+$(celDiv).html()+"' checked disabled>") else $(celDiv).html("<input type='checkbox' value='"+$(celDiv).html()+"' disabled>") $(celDiv).click ( function() { $('input',this).each( function(){ tr_idx = $('#detFlex1 tbody tr').index($(this).parent().parent().parent()); td_idx = $('#detFlex1 tbody tr:eq('+tr_idx+') td').index($(this).parent().parent()); td_last = 13; for(var td=td_idx+1; td<=td_last;td++) { if ($(this).attr('checked') == true) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td_idx] = 1;//index[1] = Full Access if (td_idx==3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td] = 1; } df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[2] = 1; if (td_idx > 3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[2] = 1; } } else { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td_idx] = 0;//index[0] = With Access if (td_idx==2) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td] = 0; } else if (td_idx==3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td] = 0; } if (td_idx > 3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[3] = 0; } } } $('#detFlex1').flexAddData(df[0]); $('.toolbar a[title=Edit Item]').trigger('click'); }); } ); } I've thought that the problem is this above code. Could anyone help me simplify this code.?

  • What would be a better implementation of shared variable among subclass

    - by Churk
    So currently I have a spring unit testing application. And it requires me to get a session cookie from a foreign authentication source. Problem what that is, this authentication process is fairly expensive and time consuming, and I am trying to create a structure where I am authenticate once, by any subclass, and any subsequent subclass is created, it will reuse this session cookie without hitting the authentication process again. My problem right now is, the static cookie is null each time another subclass is created. And I been reading that using static as a global variable is a bad idea, but I couldn't think of another way to do this because of Spring framework setting things during run time and how I would set the cookie so that all other classes can use it. Another piece of information. The variable is being use, but is change able during run time. It is not a single user being signed in and used across the board. But more like a Sub1 would call login, and we have a cookie. Then multiple test will be using that login until SubX will come in and say, I am using different credential, so I need to login as something else. And repeats. Here is a outline of my code: public class Parent implements InitializingBean { protected static String BASE_URL; public static Cookie cookie; ... All default InitializingBean methods ... afterPropertiesSet() { cookie = // login process returns a cookie } } public class Sub1 extends Parent { @resource public String baseURL; @PostConstruct public void init() { // set parents with my baseURL; BASE_URL = baseURL; } public void doSomething() { // Do something with cookie, because it should have been set by parent class } } public class Sub2 extends Parent { @resource public String baseURL; @PostConstruct public void init() { // set parents with my baseURL; BASE_URL = baseURL; } public void doSomethingElse() { // Do something with cookie, because it should have been set by parent class } }

  • Qt: How to autoexpand parents of a new QTreeView item when using a QSortFilterProxyModel

    - by taynaron
    I'm making an app wherein the user can add new data to a QTreeModel at any time. The parent under which it gets placed is automatically expanded to show the new item: self.tree = DiceModel(headers) self.treeView.setModel(self.tree) expand_node = self.tree.addRoll() #addRoll makes a node, adds it, and returns the (parent) note to be expanded self.treeView.expand(expand_node) This works as desired. If I add a QSortFilterProxyModel to the mix: self.tree = DiceModel(headers) self.sort = DiceSort(self.tree) self.treeView.setModel(self.sort) expand_node = self.tree.addRoll() #addRoll makes a node, adds it, and returns the (parent) note to be expanded self.treeView.expand(expand_node) the parent no longer expands. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

  • Re-ordering a collection of UIView's based on their CGPoint

    - by Chris
    Hi all, I have a NSMutableArray that holds a collection of UIViewControllers Amongst other properties and methods an instance of each of the viewControllers are placed in a parent view The user will place these objects individually when desired to. So essentially I use - (void)addSubview:(UIView *)view when a new view is added to the parent view controller. Because the UI is isometric it's made things a tad more complicated What I am trying to do is re-order the views based on their co-ordinate position, so items higher up the parent UIView frame is indexed lower then views lower in the parent UIview frame. And items that are on the left side of the view are positioned at a higher index to those on the right I think the solution may have to do with re-ordering the NSMutableArray but how can I compare the CGpoints? Do I need to compare the x and y separately?

  • Finding parents where child collection does not contain an item

    - by Colin Bowern
    I am trying to get a list of parents where the child collection does not contain an item of a specific type. The LINQ equivalent would be something like: dataset.Where(x => x.Items.FirstOrDefault(y => y.Type.Code == "ABC") == null) The object model is Parent Child (Items) Type Code If Parent is my aggregate root, how would I model this in NHibernate criteria/query? Here's my first attempt: var results = session.CreateCriteria<Parent>() .CreateCriteria("Items") .CreateCriteria("Type") .Add(Restrictions.Not(Restrictions.Eq("Code", "ABC"))) .SetResultTransformer(Transformers.DistinctRootEntity) .List<Parent>(); This doesn't seem to return the right entities - it just returns them all.
