  Hello, I'm trying to figure out the right way to read lucene index only once whilst running the application multiple times, how can I do that in java? Because indexed data will not change so reading them each time would not be necessary. Can someone explain me the logic of it reading them only once? thank you

  good morning all :) was wondering if anyone can tell me how come I cant get my windows form size to go to 1280x 768 in vs 2008? My resolution that I am working on is 1024x768..but the computer that I am going to be running this program on is a wide screen..1280x768. I try to change it in properties but it keeps defaulting back to 1036x760.

• empty() doesn't work with codeigniter input class

  This is really weird. Whenever I call something like if(empty($this->input->post("foo")){//blabla} The whole PHP is "down" and I get a blank page from the website (even when I don't pass through this empty(input) line). I know this is not the right method and it is stupid, I change the code to if(!$this->input->post("foo")){//blabla} Better I guess ? Seriously, how come the empty(input) breaks down the entire PHP page ? (I can't get any echo "something").

  Hello. I'm developing a Flash game in ActionScript 2, and the issue if that this game has to count the time securely. It can't count the time from the Date class because the Flash Player takes the time from the local computer, and the user can change the local time so the time reported would be fake. I haven't considerend to take the time from the server because there's a 3WH (3 way handshake) time and it would not be practical. What do you sugest me??

• How do I remove database name from SQL Server generated script?

  Anytime I use 'script table as' - 'Insert To' (or other command), the script generated automatically places the database name in the script. Such as: INSERT INTO [DatabaseName].[dbo].[tblToBeInserted] ... While not a huge problem to just delete it, it has slipped by a few times and the script breaks if run on a different server with a different database name but has the same schema. (Such as running on [DatabaseName.Test]) Is there an option I can change, or can I modify the output in any way to remove this?

• Is it possible in Android Market to delete an existing FREE app and reupload it again as a PAY app?

At some point, I want to be able to change it to a pay app. The market doesn't allow a free app to become for-pay and doesn't allow for-pay apps to be priced at 0$. So is it possible to just delete the original app and then reupload it as a for-pay app ? It's okay in my case if users aren't notified of updates.

  Hi, I like to add (+1) to a number. But problem is my number can sometimes have 0 preceding it. Like 01, 02, 03, 04. So I like result to be: mockup01 + 1 = mockup02 mockup11 + 1 = mockup12 How can that be achieved? Example of how I would use it would be if I had filename named mockup_01.htm and change it to mockup_02.htm Thanks!

• using sed to replace whole word containing '='?

  EDIT i have something like this in a file: imagecolor=0 arrayimagecolorcopy=0 arrayimagecolorcopy3d=0 when i use sed -i -e 's/imagecolor=0/imagecolor=1/' it will change 1 and 2 line. But i only want it to replace first line. i also tried sed with \< \ and \b \b, but no luck. Could it be the '=' sign? Do we have something like -w as in grep command? Thank you.
