  Is there a neat way of getting a Locale instance from its "programmatic name" as returned by Locale's toString() method? An obvious and ugly solution would be parsing the String and then constructing a new Locale instance according to that, but maybe there's a better way / ready solution for that? The need is that I want to store some locale specific settings in a SQL database, including Locales themselves, but it would be ugly to use serialized Locale objects there. I would rather store their String representations, which seem to be quite adequate in detail.

  I have embedded Jetty in a java application and am calling the start() method on an instance of the Jetty server object (after setting a handler list which describes the location of the static and dynamic web content). Does the start() call block until initialization is complete? If not, how do I determine when the server is fully started and ready to receive requests?

• jQuery doesn't return proper body height on document load - Their bug or mine?

  When I use $(document).ready(function() { var bodyHeight = $("body").height(); console.log(bodyHeight); }); I get a really wack number for body height. I then run $("body").height(); in the console and get the right height. Something seems fishy about the $(document).load doing this... Yes my CSS works fine and all, so is this my bug, chromes, or jQuery's?

  I'd like to write a service that periodically checks a POP3 account for new messages and based on custom business logic forwards the messages to an appropriate "To", and possibly changes the "From" as well. I might need to keep some messages on the server until certain conditions are ready for them to be forwarded.   I am using Xunit and NMock on .NET platform. I am testing a presentation model where a method is asynchronous. The method creates an async task and executes it so the method returns immediately and the state I need to check aren't ready yet. I can set a flag upon finish without modifying the SUT but that would mean I would have to keep checking the flag in a while loop for example, with perhaps timeout. What are my options?

Desaturated pixes should receive randomized argument in reverse transformation. Let us assume we have a folder /var/www/test If I do this in terms of permissions: /bin/chown -R root:root /var/www/test/ /bin/chmod -R u=rwx,go= /var/www/test/ /usr/bin/setfacl -R -m u:apache:rwx /var/www/test/ Will user apache be able to change owner of folder test or of any particular file within that folder?   Do you know what basic information MUST include a paragraph (w:p) in document.xml inside a *.docx document, that specifies an image? I do know there must be <a:blip r:embed="rId4" /> specifing the relation id, but what else? It's very hard to find it in google and experimenting with cutting out tags from a ready document or reading the specification takes a lot of time. An example with all the required tags would be greatly appreciated.
