  I have sql query statement which used to display the contents in the table.The sql statement consist of a where clause which is to be appended with numeric value as 1 ,2 3 etc depends upon the previously selected content.I am having the numeric value as int and i want it to append to sql statement which is const char.how can i append both the values.Please help me out. The thing is, the master page has href's to aspx pages that use this master page as pagebehind. now lets save i am in page1.aspx with master1.master as pagebehind. If i select couple of dropdownlists, and then click on an href, the whole master page reloads. how do i catch this in session before postback?

  Hi, I am using timestampdiff in derby db to retrieve the time difference between 2 time: startdate, and enddate. e.g. startdate = 2010-02-23 02:59:52.045 enddate = 2010-02-23 03:45:39.898 select {fn timestampdiff(SQL_TSI_HOUR, startdate, enddate)} as diff I would like to know how can I get the time diff in hours, e.g. 0.25, etc? For example, DB table [item_types] item_id(PK) | item_name Assuming there exist item_id with 6, My attempt is UPDATE item_types as k SET k.item_name = 'item_1' WHERE NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM item_types as a WHERE a.item_name = 'item_1') AND k.item_id = '6' But this gives me error "You can't specify target table 'k' for update in FROM clause" Could you please explain the error here and how can I achieve this ? An example date is: Sunday 1st Mar 2009 Here is my sql SELECT YEARWEEK('2009-03-01') and the result is - 200909 Which is week 9. I believe it is telling me this is week 9 because it sees the sunday as the last day of the previous week. How would I get this function to see sunday as the 1st day of the week and therefore return as week 10?
