  • Which credentials should I put in for Google App Engine BulkLoader at development server?

    - by Hoang Pham
    Hello everyone, I would like to ask which kind of credentials do I need to put on for importing data using the Google App Engine BulkLoader class appcfg.py upload_data --config_file=models.py --filename=listcountries.csv --kind=CMSCountry --url=http://localhost:8178/remote_api vit/ And then it asks me for credentials: Please enter login credentials for localhost Here is an extraction of the content of the models.py, I use this listcountries.csv file class CMSCountry(db.Model): sortorder = db.StringProperty() name = db.StringProperty(required=True) formalname = db.StringProperty() type = db.StringProperty() subtype = db.StringProperty() sovereignt = db.StringProperty() capital = db.StringProperty() currencycode = db.StringProperty() currencyname = db.StringProperty() telephonecode = db.StringProperty() lettercode = db.StringProperty() lettercode2 = db.StringProperty() number = db.StringProperty() countrycode = db.StringProperty() class CMSCountryLoader(bulkloader.Loader): def __init__(self): bulkloader.Loader.__init__(self, 'CMSCountry', [('sortorder', str), ('name', str), ('formalname', str), ('type', str), ('subtype', str), ('sovereignt', str), ('capital', str), ('currencycode', str), ('currencyname', str), ('telephonecode', str), ('lettercode', str), ('lettercode2', str), ('number', str), ('countrycode', str) ]) loaders = [CMSCountryLoader] Every tries to enter the email and password result in "Authentication Failed", so I could not import the data to the development server. I don't think that I have any problem with my files neither my models because I have successfully uploaded the data to the appspot.com application. So what should I put in for localhost credentials? I also tried to use Eclipse with Pydev but I still got the same message :( Here is the output: Uploading data records. [INFO ] Logging to bulkloader-log-20090820.121659 [INFO ] Opening database: bulkloader-progress-20090820.121659.sql3 [INFO ] [Thread-1] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-2] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-3] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-4] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-5] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-6] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-7] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-8] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-9] WorkerThread: started [INFO ] [Thread-10] WorkerThread: started Password for [email protected]: [DEBUG ] Configuring remote_api. url_path = /remote_api, servername = localhost:8178 [DEBUG ] Bulkloader using app_id: abc [INFO ] Connecting to /remote_api [ERROR ] Exception during authentication Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\Projects\GoogleAppEngine\google_appengine\google\appengine\tools\bulkloader.py", line 2802, in Run request_manager.Authenticate() File "D:\Projects\GoogleAppEngine\google_appengine\google\appengine\tools\bulkloader.py", line 1126, in Authenticate remote_api_stub.MaybeInvokeAuthentication() File "D:\Projects\GoogleAppEngine\google_appengine\google\appengine\ext\remote_api\remote_api_stub.py", line 488, in MaybeInvokeAuthentication datastore_stub._server.Send(datastore_stub._path, payload=None) File "D:\Projects\GoogleAppEngine\google_appengine\google\appengine\tools\appengine_rpc.py", line 344, in Send f = self.opener.open(req) File "C:\Python25\lib\urllib2.py", line 381, in open response = self._open(req, data) File "C:\Python25\lib\urllib2.py", line 399, in _open '_open', req) File "C:\Python25\lib\urllib2.py", line 360, in _call_chain result = func(*args) File "C:\Python25\lib\urllib2.py", line 1107, in http_open return self.do_open(httplib.HTTPConnection, req) File "C:\Python25\lib\urllib2.py", line 1082, in do_open raise URLError(err) URLError: <urlopen error (10061, 'Connection refused')> [INFO ] Authentication Failed Thank you!

  • Booking form works but does not give feedback

    - by Naim
    I have a form where people can book seats for a given event. It's actually a WordPress plugin. When someone sends his booking, email notifications are sent properly and the event booking status is updated accordingly. The issue is that the booking form does not give any feedback whatsoever. Once you hit "book now", the graphic keeps loading and no feedback is ever displayed like for instance "booking sent successfully" or "there are errors in your form", even though the booking is saved correctly with both sides notified by email. I guess it's a JavaScript issue,Firebug console is not showing any error... So here is the code source of the booking form : Also please experience the issue live Here username: tester password: testsa Thanks! $('#em-booking-form').submit( function(e){ e.preventDefault(); var em_booking_doing_ajax = false; $.ajax({ url: EM.bookingajaxurl, data:$('#em-booking-form').serializeArray(), dataType: 'jsonp', type:'post', beforeSend: function(formData, jqForm, options) { if(em_booking_doing_ajax){ alert(EM.bookingInProgress); return false; } em_booking_doing_ajax = true; $('.em-booking-message').remove(); $('#em-booking').append('<div id="em-loading"></div>'); }, success : function(response, statusText, xhr, $form) { $('#em-loading').remove(); $('.em-booking-message').remove(); $('.em-booking-message').remove(); //show error or success message if(response.result){ $('<div class="em-booking-message-success em-booking-message">'+response.message+'</div>').insertBefore('#em-booking-form'); $('#em-booking-form').hide(); $('.em-booking-login').hide(); $(document).trigger('em_booking_success', [response]); }else{ if( response.errors != null ){ if( $.isArray(response.errors) && response.errors.length > 0 ){ var error_msg; response.errors.each(function(i, el){ error_msg = error_msg + el; }); $('<div class="em-booking-message-error em-booking-message">'+error_msg.errors+'</div>').insertBefore('#em-booking-form'); }else{ $('<div class="em-booking-message-error em-booking-message">'+response.errors+'</div>').insertBefore('#em-booking-form'); } }else{ $('<div class="em-booking-message-error em-booking-message">'+response.message+'</div>').insertBefore('#em-booking-form'); } } $('html, body').animate({ scrollTop: $("#em-booking").first().offset().top - 50 }); //sends user back to top of form //run extra actions after showing the message here if( response.gateway != null ){ $(document).trigger('em_booking_gateway_add_'+response.gateway, [response]); } if( !response.result && typeof Recaptcha != 'undefined'){ Recaptcha.reload(); } }, complete : function(){ em_booking_doing_ajax = false; $('#em-loading').remove(); } }); return false; });

  • Silverlight: how to modify the width of ListBox Items in response to user input?

    - by sympatric greg
    I have a simple Silverlight 3 UserControl whose width increases or decreases based on user input. The controls become more wide or more narrow as desired, except for the ListBox items. The ListBox Items grow horizontally to fit their content regardless of HorizontalContentAlignment being set to 'Stretch'. Should I be able to set a property on ListBox.ItemContainerStyle to tell it to widen/narrow with the parent ListBox? There needs to be no horizontal scrolling within this Listbox. Or is there a way to specify the ItemTemplate's StackPanel width that can be modified at runtime? I have bound this to a StaticResource, but do not understand whether I should be able to change the resource value. Can I create and bind to a DependencyProperty of the UserControl itself? I have not determined the syntax of this within the xaml. code: <UserControl x:Class="TheAssembly.GraphicViewer" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:userControls="clr-namespace:TheAssembly" xmlns:core="clr-namespace:System;assembly=mscorlib"> <UserControl.Resources> <userControls:DictionaryAttributeConverter x:Name="MyDictionaryAttributeConverter" /> <core:Double x:Key="ListItemWidth">155</core:Double> </UserControl.Resources> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Width="175" > <Border Style="{StaticResource DraggableWindowBorder}"> <StackPanel x:Name="RootStackPanel" Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <Border Background="Black" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Margin="0"> <TextBlock x:Name="Header" Foreground="White" FontSize="14" TextWrapping="Wrap" Margin="2,0,2,0" Height="25" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Text="{Binding HeaderText}"/> </Border> <TextBlock x:Name="Title" Style="{StaticResource GraphicViewerDetail}" FontSize="12" FontWeight="Medium" TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding Title}" Margin="3,0,0,0" HorizontalAlignment="Left"/> <ListBox x:Name="AttributeListBox" ItemsSource="{Binding Attributes}" BorderBrush="Red" HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch" Foreground="AntiqueWhite" Background="Transparent" IsEnabled="False" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" ScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Visible" ScrollViewer.HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden"> <ListBox.ItemContainerStyle> <Style TargetType="ListBoxItem"> <Setter Property="HorizontalAlignment" Value="Stretch"/> <Setter Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Stretch"/> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="0,-2,0,0"/> </Style> </ListBox.ItemContainerStyle> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel x:Name="ListBoxItemStackPanel" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Orientation="Vertical" > <TextBlock FontSize="10" Text="{Binding Key}" Foreground="White" FontWeight="Bold" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Margin="2,0,0,0" TextWrapping="Wrap"/> <TextBlock FontSize="10" Text="{Binding Value}" Foreground="White" Margin="6,-2,0,0" TextWrapping="Wrap" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> </StackPanel> </Border> </Grid>

  • vb.net .aspxauth

    - by Morgan
    I am working with a large site trying to implement web parts for particular users in a particular subdirectory but I can't get the .ASPXAUTH cookie to be recognized. I've read dozens of tutorials and MS class library pages that tell me how it should work to no avail. I am brand new to Web parts, so I'm sorry if I'm unclear. The idea is that logged in users can travel the site, but then when they go to their dashboard, they are programmatically authenticated using Membership and FormsAuthentication to pull up their Personalization. When I step through the code, I can see the cookie being set, and that it exists on the following page, but Membership.GetUser() and User.Identity are both empty. I know the user exists because I created it programmatically using Membership.CreateUser() and I can see it when I do Membership.GetAllUsers() and it's online when i use Membership.GetUser(username) but the Personalization doesn't work. Right now, I'm just trying to get the proof of concept going. I've tried creating the ticket and cookie myself, and also using SetAuthCookie() (code follows). I really just need a clue as to what to look for. Here's the "login" page... If Membership.ValidateUser(testusername, testpassword) Then -- Works FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(testusername, true) Response.Redirect("webpartsdemo1.aspx", False) End If And the next page (webpartsdemo1.aspx) Dim cookey As String = ".ASPXAUTH" lblContent.Text &= "<br><br>" & Request.Cookies(cookey).Name & " Details" lblContent.Text &= "<br>path = " & Request.Cookies(cookey).Path lblContent.Text &= "<br>domain = " & Request.Cookies(cookey).Domain lblContent.Text &= "<br>expires = " & Request.Cookies(cookey).Expires lblContent.Text &= "<br>Secure only? " & Request.Cookies(cookey).HasKeys lblContent.Text &= "<br/><br/>request authenticated? " & Request.IsAuthenticated.ToString lblContent.Text &= " Getting user<br/>Current User: " Dim muGidget As MembershipUser If Request.IsAuthenticated Then muGidget = Membership.GetUser lblContent.Text &= Membership.GetUser().UserName Else lblContent.Text &= "none found" End If Output: .ASPXAUTH Details path = / domain = expires = 12:00:00 AM Secure only? False HTTP only? = False Has subkeys? False request authenticated? False Getting user Current User: none found Sorry to go on so long. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Actionscript multiple file upload, with parameter passing is not working

    - by Metropolis
    Hey everyone, First off, I am very bad at flash/actionscript, it is not my main programming language. I have created my own file upload flash app that has been working great for me up until this point. It uses PHP to upload the files and sends back a status message which gets displayed in a status box to the user. Now I have run into a situation where I need the HTML to pass a parameter to the Actionscript, and then to the PHP file using POST. I have tried to set this up just like adobe has it on http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=17_Networking_and_communications_7.html without success. Here is my Actionscript code import fl.controls.TextArea; //Set filters var imageTypes:FileFilter = new FileFilter("Images (*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.png)", "*.jpg; *.jpeg; *.gif; *.png"); var textTypes:FileFilter = new FileFilter("Documents (*.txt, *.rtf, *.pdf, *.doc)", "*.txt; *.rtf; *.pdf; *.doc"); var allTypes:Array = new Array(textTypes, imageTypes); var fileRefList:FileReferenceList = new FileReferenceList(); //Add event listeners for its various fileRefList functions below upload_buttn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, browseBox); fileRefList.addEventListener(Event.SELECT, selectHandler); function browseBox(event:MouseEvent):void { fileRefList.browse(allTypes); } function selectHandler(event:Event):void { var phpRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("ajax/upload.ajax.php"); var flashVars:URLVariables = objectToURLVariables(this.root.loaderInfo); phpRequest.method = URLRequestMethod.POST; phpRequest.data = flashVars; var file:FileReference; var files:FileReferenceList = FileReferenceList(event.target); var selectedFileArray:Array = files.fileList; var listener:Object = new Object(); for (var i:uint = 0; i < selectedFileArray.length; i++) { file = FileReference(selectedFileArray[i]); try { file.addEventListener(DataEvent.UPLOAD_COMPLETE_DATA, phpResponse); file.upload(phpRequest); } catch (error:Error) { status_txt.text = file.name + " Was not uploaded correctly (" + error.message + ")"; } } } function phpResponse(event:DataEvent):void { var file:FileReference = FileReference(event.target); status_txt.htmlText += event.data; } function objectToURLVariables(parameters:Object):URLVariables { var paramsToSend:URLVariables = new URLVariables(); for(var i:String in parameters) { if(i!=null) { if(parameters[i] is Array) paramsToSend[i] = parameters[i]; else paramsToSend[i] = parameters[i].toString(); } } return paramsToSend; } The flashVars variable is the one that should contain the values from the HTML file. But whenever I run the program and output the variables in the PHP file I receive the following. //Using this command on the PHP page print_r($_POST); //I get this for output Array ( [Filename] => testfile.txt [Upload] => Submit Query ) Its almost like the parameters are getting over written or are just not working at all. Thanks for any help, Metropolis

  • HTTP request, strange socket behavoir

    - by hoodoos
    I expirience strange behavior when doing HTTP requests through sockets, here the request: POST https://test.com:443/service/XMLSelect HTTP/1.1 Content-Length: 10926 Host: test.com User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) Authorization: Basic XXX SOAPAction: http://test.com/SubmitXml Later on there goes body of my request with given content length. After that I recive something like: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 06:13:52 GMT So everything seem to be fine here. I read all contents from network stream and successfuly recieve response. But my socket which I'm doing polling on switches it's modes like that: write ( i write headers and request here ) read ( after headers sent i begin to recieve response ) write ( STRANGE BEHAVIOUR HERE. WHY? here i send nothing really ) read ( here it switches to read back again ) last two steps can repeat several times. So I want to ask what leads for socket's mode change? And in this case it's not a big problem, but when I use gzip compression in my request ( no idea how it's related ) and ask server to send gzipped response to me like this: POST https://test.com:443/service/XMLSelect HTTP/1.1 Content-Length: 1076 Accept-Encoding: gzip Content-Encoding: gzip Host: test.com User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) Authorization: Basic XXX SOAPAction: http://test.com/SubmitXml I recieve response like that: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Encoding: gzip Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 07:26:33 GMT 2000 ? I recieve a chunk size and GZIP header, it's all okay. And here's what is happening with my poor little socket meanwhile: write ( i write headers and request here ) read ( after headers sent i begin to recieve response ) write ( STRANGE BEHAVIOUR HERE. And it finally sits here forever waiting for me to send something! But if i refer to HTTP I don't have to send anything more! ) What can it be related to? What it wants me to send? Is it remote web server's problem or do I miss something? PS All actual service references and login/passwords replaced with fake ones :)

  • What are the Open Source alternatives to WPF/XAML?

    - by Evan Plaice
    If we've learned anything from HTML/CSS it's that, declarative languages (like XML) work best to describe User Interfaces because: It's easy to build code preprocessors that can template the code effectively. The code is in a well defined well structured (ideally) format so it's easy to parse. The technology to effectively parse or crawl an XML based source file already exists. The UIs scripted code becomes much simpler and easier to understand. It simple enough that designers are able to design the interface themselves. Programmers suck at creating UIs so it should be made easy enough for designers. I recently took a look at the meat of a WPF application (ie. the XAML) and it looks surprisingly familiar to the declarative language style used in HTML. It's apparent to me that the current state of desktop UI development is largely fractionalized, otherwise there wouldn't be so much duplicated effort in the domain of graphical user interface design (IE. GTK, XUL, Qt, Winforms, WPF, etc). There are 45 GUI platforms for Python alone It's seems reasonable to me that there should be a general purpose, open source, standardized, platform independent, markup language for designing desktop GUIs. Much like what the W3C made HTML/CSS into. WPF, or more specifically XAML seems like a pretty likely step in the right direction. Now that the 'browser wars' are over should we look forward to a future of 'desktop gui wars?' Note: This topic is relatively subjective in the attempt to be 'future-thinking.' I think that desktop GUI development in its current state sucks ((really)hard) and, even though WPF is still in it's infancy, it presents a likely solution to the problem. Update: Thanks a lot for the info, keep it comin'. Here's are the options I've gathered from the comments and answers. GladeXML Editor: Glade Interface Designer OS Platforms: All GUI Platform: GTK+ Languages: C (libglade), C++, C# (Glade#), Python, Ada, Pike, Perl, PHP, Eiffel, Ruby XRC (XML Resource) Editors: wxGlade, XRCed, wxDesigner, DialogBlocks (non-free) OS Platforms: All GUI Platform: wxWidgets Languages: C++, Python (wxPython), Perl (wxPerl), .NET (wx.NET) XML based formats that are either not free, not cross-platform, or language specific XUL Editor: Any basic text editor OS Platforms: Any OS running a browser that supports XUL GUI Platform: Gecko Engine? Languages: C++, Python, Ruby as plugin languages not base languages Note: I'm not sure if XUL deserves mentioning in this list because it's less of a desktop GUI language and more of a make-webapps-run-on-the-desktop language. Plus, it requires a browser to run. IE, it's 'DHTML for the desktop.' CookSwing Editor: Eclipse via WindowBuilder, NetBeans 5.0 (non-free) via Swing GUI Builder aka Matisse OS Platforms: All GUI Platform: Java Languages: Java only XAML (Moonlight) Editor: MonoDevelop OS Platforms: Linux and other Unix/X11 based OSes only GUI Platforms: GTK+ Languages: .NET Note: XAML is not a pure Open Source format because Microsoft controls its terms of use including the right to change the terms at any time. Moonlight can not legally be made to run on Windows or Mac. In addition, the only platform that is exempt from legal action is Novell. See this for a full description of what I mean.

  • How to use multiple instances of a usercontrol (with jquery) on the same page

    - by Julian
    Hi All, I've been working on an usercontrol with a jquery timer in it. At first I had the jquery within the usercontrol. But when I add 2 of those controls to my page the second usercontrol isn't showing it's data very well. Now I've put the jquery into the mainpage and the usercontrol only uses the id's of the jquery. Here is my usercontrol: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="WebUserControl.ascx.cs" Inherits="WebUserControl" %> <style type="text/css"> #mainpanel { width: 145px; height: 123px; } </style> <div id="mainpanel"> <div> test</div> <div id="shortly" style="background-color: #FFFFFF"> </div> <button id="resetButton"> Reset </button> </div> Mainpage: <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %> <%@ Register Src="WebUserControl.ascx" TagName="WebUserControl" TagPrefix="uc1" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title>hoi</title> <script src="Scripts/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="Scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <link href="Css/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8/jquery-ui.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/jquery.countdown.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $(function() { $("#mainpanel"); }); shortly = new Date(); shortly.setSeconds(shortly.getSeconds() + 5.5); $('#shortly').countdown({ until: shortly, onExpiry: liftOff, layout: '{sn}', }); $('#resetButton').click(function () { $('#mainpanel').effect("highlight", {}, 700 ); $('#shortly').effect("highlight", {}, 700 ); shortly = new Date(); shortly.setSeconds(shortly.getSeconds() + 5.5); $('#shortly').countdown('change', { until: shortly }); }); function liftOff() { // refresh the page window.location = window.location; } }); </script> </head> <body> <uc1:WebUserControl ID="WebUserControl1" runat="server" /> </body> </html> But still my usercontrols are acting weird, now my question is: "How can I make the SAME usercontrols work properly on ONE page?" Both of those use the same jquery code but the buttons etc. should only work within the usercontrol itself.

  • How to make sure that grub does use menu.lst?

    - by Glen S. Dalton
    On my Ubuntu 9.04 ("Karmic") laptop I suspect grub does not use the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. What happens on boot is that I see a blank screen and nothing happens. When I press ESC I see a boot list which is different from what I would expect from the menu.lst file. The menu lines are different and when I choose the first entry it does not use the kernel options that are in the first entry in menu.lst. Where do the entries that grub uses come from? When i click the Button1, it will prompt the confirmation dialog as print screen. My question is how to immediate send mail without prompt the confirmation dialog? Is this possible to achieve?

  • Simple JQuery Validator addMethod not working

    - by tehaaron
    Updated question on the bottom I am trying to validate a super simple form. Eventually the username will be compared to a RegExp statement and the same will go for the password. However right now I am just trying to learn the Validator addMethod format. I currently have this script: JQuery.validator.addMethod( "legalName", function(value, element) { if (element.value == "bob") { return false; } else return true; }, "Use a valid username." ); $(document).ready(function() { $("#form1").validate({ rules: { username: { legalName: true } }, }); }); Which if I am not mistaken should return false and respond with "Use a valid username." if I were to put "bob" into the form. However, it is simply submitting it. I am linking to JQuery BEFORE Validator in the header like instructed. My uber simple form looks like this: <form id="form1" method="post" action=""> <div class="form-row"><span class="label">Username *</span><input type="text" name="username" /></div> <div class="form-row"><input class="submit" type="submit" value="Submit"></div> </form> Finally how would I go about restructing the addMethod function to return true if and false at the else stage while keeping the message alert for a false return? (ignore this last part if you don't understand what I was trying to say :) ) Thanks in advance. Thank to everyone who pointed out my JQuery - jQuery typo. New Ideally, I am trying to turn this into a simple login form (username/password). It is for demonstration only so it wont have a database attached or anything, just some simple js validations. I am looking to make the username validate for <48 characters, only english letters and numbers, no special characters. I thought a whitelist would be easiest so I had something like this: ^[a-zA-Z0-9]*${1,48} but I am not sure if that is proper JS RegExp (it varies from Ruby RegExp if I am not mistaken?...Usually I use rubular.com). Password will be similar but require some upper/lowercase and numbers. I believe I need to make another $.validator.addMethod for legalPassword that will look very similar.

  • Rails find over multiple models

    - by kgb
    I think I'm missing something very obvious and its making my brain hurt. class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :profile class Profile < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :user belongs_to :team I have a partial that loops through the users and print some basic info, I'm using this partial in my team show page. I had originally written this to return users who's profiles were a member of a team. def show @team = Team.find_by_id(params[:id]) @profiles= Profile.find(:all, :conditions => ['team_id = ?', @team.id]) @users = User.find_by_id(@profiles.user_id) end But quickly realized @profiles was an array, and it looks messy as hell. Stuck as to what my find should look like to select all User who have a profile that is a member of a team. The partial that is working elsewhere for displaying users looks like this <% for user in @users%> <table> <tr> <td> <%= image_tag user.profile.picture.url %> </td> <td> <a href="/users/<%= user.id %>"><%= user.login %></a> </td> <td> <%= user.profile.first_name %> <%= user.profile.second_name %> </td> <td> <%= user.profile.status %> </td> </tr> </table> <% end %> Development log output with updated show and relationships Processing TeamsController#show (for 127.0.0.1 at 2010-03-30 22:06:31) [GET] Parameters: {"id"=>"1"} User Load (1.3ms) SELECT * FROM "users" WHERE ("users"."id" = 3) LIMIT 1 Team Load (1.0ms) SELECT * FROM "teams" WHERE ("teams"."id" = 1) Rendering template within layouts/main Rendering teams/show Completed in 75ms (View: 11, DB: 2) | 200 OK [http://localhost/teams/1]

  • Unable to launch onscreen keyboard (osk.exe) from a 32-bit process on Win7 x64

    - by Steven Robbins
    90% of the time I am unable to launch osk.exe from a 32bit process on Win7 x64. Originally the code was just using: Process.Launch("osk.exe"); Which won't work on x64 because of the directory virtualization. Not a problem I thought, I'll just disable virtualization, launch the app, and enable it again, which I thought was the correct way to do things. I also added some code to bring the keyboard back up if it has been minimized (which works fine) - the code (in a sample WPF app) now looks as follows: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; using System.Windows.Data; using System.Windows.Documents; using System.Windows.Input; using System.Windows.Media; using System.Windows.Media.Imaging; using System.Windows.Navigation;using System.Diagnostics; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; namespace KeyboardTest { /// <summary> /// Interaction logic for MainWindow.xaml /// </summary> public partial class MainWindow : Window { [DllImport("kernel32.dll", SetLastError = true)] private static extern bool Wow64DisableWow64FsRedirection(ref IntPtr ptr); [DllImport("kernel32.dll", SetLastError = true)] public static extern bool Wow64RevertWow64FsRedirection(IntPtr ptr); private const UInt32 WM_SYSCOMMAND = 0x112; private const UInt32 SC_RESTORE = 0xf120; [DllImport("user32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto)] static extern IntPtr SendMessage(IntPtr hWnd, UInt32 Msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam); private string OnScreenKeyboadApplication = "osk.exe"; public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); } private void KeyboardButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { // Get the name of the On screen keyboard string processName = System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(OnScreenKeyboadApplication); // Check whether the application is not running var query = from process in Process.GetProcesses() where process.ProcessName == processName select process; var keyboardProcess = query.FirstOrDefault(); // launch it if it doesn't exist if (keyboardProcess == null) { IntPtr ptr = new IntPtr(); ; bool sucessfullyDisabledWow64Redirect = false; // Disable x64 directory virtualization if we're on x64, // otherwise keyboard launch will fail. if (System.Environment.Is64BitOperatingSystem) { sucessfullyDisabledWow64Redirect = Wow64DisableWow64FsRedirection(ref ptr); } // osk.exe is in windows/system folder. So we can directky call it without path using (Process osk = new Process()) { osk.StartInfo.FileName = OnScreenKeyboadApplication; osk.Start(); osk.WaitForInputIdle(2000); } // Re-enable directory virtualisation if it was disabled. if (System.Environment.Is64BitOperatingSystem) if (sucessfullyDisabledWow64Redirect) Wow64RevertWow64FsRedirection(ptr); } else { // Bring keyboard to the front if it's already running var windowHandle = keyboardProcess.MainWindowHandle; SendMessage(windowHandle, WM_SYSCOMMAND, new IntPtr(SC_RESTORE), new IntPtr(0)); } } } } But this code, most of the time, throws the following exception on osk.Start(): The specified procedure could not be found at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) I've tried putting long Thread.Sleep commands in around the osk.Start line, just to make sure it wasn't a race condition, but the same problem persists. Can anyone spot where I'm doing something wrong, or provide an alternative solution for this? It seems to work fine launching Notepad, it just won't play ball with the onscreen keyboard.

  • How do I access SourceGear Web services using SOAP::Lite?

    - by user565793
    For some reason SourceGear provide an undocumented Web service on their installations. They actually ask developers to use the API instead because the Web service is kinda messy, but this is a problem in my case because I cannot use this API on a Perl environment, so their solution for my specific case is to use the Web service. This shouldn't be a problem. Using SOAP::Lite I have connected to several Web services in the past in the same way. But the lack of documentation is a major chaos if you don't know where the SOAP calls can be made. I only have an XML to decipher where to and how to make these calls. It would be great if a real SOAP genius could help me out in this. This is an example of the login call and the expected response: Request POST /fortress/dragnetwebservice.asmx HTTP/1.1 Host: velecloudserver Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: length SOAPAction: "http://www.sourcegear.com/schemas/dragnet/LoginPlainText" <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <soap:Body> <LoginPlainText xmlns="http://www.sourcegear.com/schemas/dragnet"> <strLogin>string</strLogin> <strPassword>string</strPassword> </LoginPlainText> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> Response HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: length <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <soap:Body> <LoginPlainTextResponse xmlns="http://www.sourcegear.com/schemas/dragnet"> <LoginPlainTextResult>int</LoginPlainTextResult> <strAuthTicket>string</strAuthTicket> </LoginPlainTextResponse> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> I'm looking for a way to be able to assemble this somehow. This is my Perl example: my $soap = SOAP::Lite -> uri ('http://velecloudserver/fortress/dragnetwebservice.asmx') -> proxy('http://velecloudserver/fortress/dragnetwebservice.asmx/LoginPlainText'); my $som = $soap->call('LoginPlainText', SOAP::Data->name('LoginPlainText')->value( \SOAP::Data->value([ SOAP::Data->name('strLogin')->value( 'admin' ), SOAP::Data->name('strPassword')->value('Adm1234'), ])) ); Any tip would be appreciated.

  • "Invalid form control" only in Google Chrome

  • SharePoint 2010 Custom WCF Service - Windows and FBA Authentication

    - by e-rock
    I have SharePoint 2010 configured for Claims Based Authentication with both Windows and Forms Based Authentication (FBA) for external users. I also need to develop custom WCF Services. The issue is that I want Windows credentials passed into the WCF Service(s); however, I cannot seem to get the Windows credentials passed into the services. My custom WCF service appears to be using Anonymous authentication (which has to be enabled in IIS in order to display the FBA login screen). The example I have tried to follow is found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff521581.aspx. The WCF service gets deployed to _vti_bin (ISAPI folder). Here is the code for the .svc file <%@ ServiceHost Language="C#" Debug="true" Service="MyCompany.CustomerPortal.SharePoint.UI.ISAPI.MyCompany.Services.LibraryManagers.LibraryUploader, $SharePoint.Project.AssemblyFullName$" Factory="Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.Services.MultipleBaseAddressBasicHttpBindingServiceHostFactory, Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" CodeBehind="LibraryUploader.svc.cs" %> Here is the code behind for the .svc file [ServiceContract] public interface ILibraryUploader { [OperationContract] string SiteName(); } [BasicHttpBindingServiceMetadataExchangeEndpoint] [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Required)] public class LibraryUploader : ILibraryUploader { //just try to return site title right now… public string SiteName() { WindowsIdentity identity = ServiceSecurityContext.Current.WindowsIdentity; ClaimsIdentity claimsIdentity = new ClaimsIdentity(identity); return SPContext.Current.Web.Title; } } The WCF test client I have just to test it out (WPF app) uses the following code to call the WCF service... private void Button1Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding(); binding.Security.Mode = BasicHttpSecurityMode.TransportCredentialOnly; binding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.Ntlm; EndpointAddress endpoint = new EndpointAddress( "http://dev.portal.data-image.local/_vti_bin/MyCompany.Services/LibraryManagers/LibraryUploader.svc"); LibraryUploaderClient libraryUploader = new LibraryUploaderClient(binding, endpoint); libraryUploader.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = System.Security.Principal.TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation; MessageBox.Show(libraryUploader.SiteName()); } I am somewhat inexperienced with IIS security settings/configurations when it comes to Claims and trying to use both Windows and FBA. I am also inexperienced when it comes to WCF configurations for security. I usually develop internal biz apps and let Visual Studio decide what to use because security is rarely a concern.

  • R Install/Update on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard): where does R put files during install/config?

    - by doug
    In sum, there's a stray preference-like file or two (probably just one) that i can't find. Here's the whole story: I recently attempted to update my R install from 2.10 to 2.11. As i have done before, i installed from source. I know that all of the dependencies are correctly installed and made available to R, because my prior install worked fine. When i upgraded to 2.11, i am unable to install packages (no exception thrown, it just doesn't appear to complete the install and is unresponsive so i have to quit + restart R. Given i install from source, there are any number of points in the process that i could have messed up. What i need to do now is "start over" which requires that i clear out my my prior install. I am having trouble doing that. There is still at least one preference file or something like that i can't find and one of these is causing the problem, so i need to find it and terminate it with extreme prejudice before i do a fresh install. Although i set a number of flags during the install, i have never opted out of the default install locations during the config step. There has to be one or more preference files still in my file structure (and that's also accessible to the new install of R) because after i follow all of the steps below, then do a fresh install, when i start R for the first time, some of my preferences have persisted (e.g., quartz settings, GUI background color, editor selection, etc.). Again, the problem is that i just cannot locate those files. Finally, the problem can't be that during my last install from source, i inadvertently caused a preference file to be sent to an off-spec location--because again, a fresh R install (whether from source or from the OS X binaries) is finding those files Here's what i've done prior to attempting a clean install of R: Removed files from these locations: ~/.RData ~/.RHistory /Applications/R64.app /Applications/R.app /Library/Frameworks/R.framework (i also removed all symlinks from these) Cleared all RAM and disk caches, in particular the directory where i know R caches: ~/Library/Caches/R* (in fact i've cleared this entire directory) Checked for all 'hidden' files in the OS X directories where login/startup files are often placed: /etc/ ~/ In addition, i've checked R-help, and i've also read through the relevant portions of 'R Installation and Administration'--no luck. I've also searched searched my file structure using the various bash utilities, which nearly always solves problems of this sort quite easily, but in this case obviously searching by name or even pattern is more problematic.

  • wpf exit thread automatically when application closes

    - by toni
    Hi, I have a main wpf window and one of its controls is a user control that I have created. this user control is an analog clock and contains a thread that update hour, minute and second hands. Initially it wasn't a thread, it was a timer event that updated the hour, minutes and seconds but I have changed it to a thread because the application do some hard work when the user press a start button and then the clock don't update so I changed it to a thread. COde snippet of wpf window: <Window xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:GParts" xmlns:Microsoft_Windows_Themes="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Windows.Themes assembly=PresentationFramework.Aero" xmlns:UC="clr-namespace:GParts.UserControls" x:Class="GParts.WinMain" Title="GParts" WindowState="Maximized" Closing="Window_Closing" Icon="/Resources/Calendar-clock.png" x:Name="WMain" > <...> <!-- this is my user control --> <UC:AnalogClock Grid.Row="1" x:Name="AnalogClock" Background="Transparent" Margin="0" Height="Auto" Width="Auto"/> <...> </Window> My problem is when the user exits the application then the thread seems to continue executing. I would like the thread finishes automatically when main windows closes. code snippet of user control constructor: namespace GParts.UserControls { /// <summary> /// Lógica de interacción para AnalogClock.xaml /// </summary> public partial class AnalogClock : UserControl { System.Timers.Timer timer = new System.Timers.Timer(1000); public AnalogClock() { InitializeComponent(); MDCalendar mdCalendar = new MDCalendar(); DateTime date = DateTime. Now; TimeZone time = TimeZone.CurrentTimeZone; TimeSpan difference = time.GetUtcOffset(date); uint currentTime = mdCalendar.Time() + (uint)difference.TotalSeconds; christianityCalendar.Content = mdCalendar.Date("d/e/Z", currentTime, false); // this was before implementing thread //timer.Elapsed += new System.Timers.ElapsedEventHandler(timer_Elapsed); //timer.Enabled = true; // The Work to perform ThreadStart start = delegate() { // With this condition the thread exits when main window closes but // despite of this it seems like the thread continues executing after // exiting application because in task manager cpu is very busy // while ((this.IsInitialized) && (this.Dispatcher.HasShutdownFinished== false)) { this.Dispatcher.Invoke(DispatcherPriority.Normal, (Action)(() => { DateTime hora = DateTime. Now; secondHand.Angle = hora.Second * 6; minuteHand.Angle = hora.Minute * 6; hourHand.Angle = (hora.Hour * 30) + (hora.Minute * 0.5); DigitalClock.CurrentTime = hora; })); } Console.Write("Quit ok"); }; // Create the thread and kick it started! new Thread(start).Start(); } // this was before implementing thread void timer_Elapsed(object sender, System.Timers.ElapsedEventArgs e) { this.Dispatcher.Invoke(DispatcherPriority.Normal, (Action)(() => { DateTime hora = DateTime. Now; secondHand.Angle = hora.Second * 6; minuteHand.Angle = hora.Minute * 6; hourHand.Angle = (hora.Hour * 30) + (hora.Minute * 0.5); DigitalClock.CurrentTime = hora; })); } } // end class } // end namespace How can I exit correctly from thread automatically when main window closes and then application exits? Thanks very much!

  • Amusing or Sad? Network Solutions

    - by dbasnett
    When I got sick my email ended up in every drug sellers email list. Some days I get over 200 emails selling everything from Viagra to Xanax. Either they don't know what my condition is or they are telling me you are a goner, might as well chill-ax and have a good time. In order to cut down on the mail being downloaded I thought I would add all of the Junk email senders from Outlook to my Network Solution mail server. Much to my amazement I could not find that import Spammers button, so I submitted a tech support request. Here is the response: Thank you for contacting Network Solutions Customer Service Department. We are committed to creating the best Customer experience possible. One of the first ways we can demonstrate our commitment to this goal is to quickly and efficiently handle your recent request. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you. With regard to your concern, please be advised that we cannot import blocked senders in to you e-mail servers. An alternative option is for you to create a Custom Filter that filters unwanted e-mails. To create a Custom Filter: Open a Web browser (e.g., Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.). Type mail.[domain name].[ext] in the address line. Login to your Network Solutions email account. Click on the Configuration left menu tab. Click on the Custom Filter link. Type the rule name. blah, blah, blah Basically add them one at a time. "We are committed to creating the best Customer experience possible." No you are not. You are trying to squeeze every nickle you can out of me. "With regard to your concern, please be advised that we cannot import blocked senders in to you e-mail servers." Maybe I should apply for a job to write those ten complicated lines of code... Maybe I should question my choice of vendors, because if they truly "cannot" then they are to stupid to have my business. It is both amusing and sad. I'll be posting this in every forum I am a member of.

  • Using PHP's IMAP library triggers Kaspersky's Antivirus

    - by TMG
    Hello, I just started today working with PHP's IMAP library, and while imap_fetchbody or imap_body are called, it is triggering my Kaspersky antivirus. The viruses are Trojan.Win32.Agent.dmyq and Trojan.Win32.FraudPack.aoda. I am running this off a local development machine with XAMPP and Kaspersky AV. Now, I am sure there are viruses there since there is spam in the box (who doesn't need a some viagra or vicodin these days?). And I know that since the raw body includes attachments and different mime-types, bad stuff can be in the body. So my question is: are there any risks using these libraries? I am assuming that the IMAP functions are retrieving the body, caching it to disk/memory and the AV scanning it sees the data. Is that correct? Are there any known security concerns using this library (I couldn't find any)? Does it clean up cached message parts perfectly or might viral files be sitting somewhere? Is there a better way to get plain text out of the body than this? Right now I am using the following code (credit to Kevin Steffer): function get_mime_type(&$structure) { $primary_mime_type = array("TEXT", "MULTIPART","MESSAGE", "APPLICATION", "AUDIO","IMAGE", "VIDEO", "OTHER"); if($structure->subtype) { return $primary_mime_type[(int) $structure->type] . '/' .$structure->subtype; } return "TEXT/PLAIN"; } function get_part($stream, $msg_number, $mime_type, $structure = false, $part_number = false) { if(!$structure) { $structure = imap_fetchstructure($stream, $msg_number); } if($structure) { if($mime_type == get_mime_type($structure)) { if(!$part_number) { $part_number = "1"; } $text = imap_fetchbody($stream, $msg_number, $part_number); if($structure->encoding == 3) { return imap_base64($text); } else if($structure->encoding == 4) { return imap_qprint($text); } else { return $text; } } if($structure->type == 1) /* multipart */ { while(list($index, $sub_structure) = each($structure->parts)) { if($part_number) { $prefix = $part_number . '.'; } $data = get_part($stream, $msg_number, $mime_type, $sub_structure,$prefix . ($index + 1)); if($data) { return $data; } } // END OF WHILE } // END OF MULTIPART } // END OF STRUTURE return false; } // END OF FUNCTION $connection = imap_open($server, $login, $password); $count = imap_num_msg($connection); for($i = 1; $i <= $count; $i++) { $header = imap_headerinfo($connection, $i); $from = $header->fromaddress; $to = $header->toaddress; $subject = $header->subject; $date = $header->date; $body = get_part($connection, $i, "TEXT/PLAIN"); }

  • Weighted round robins via TTL - possible?

    - by Joe Hopfgartner
    I currently use DNS round robin for load balancing, which works great. The records look like this (I have a ttl of 120 seconds) ;; ANSWER SECTION: orion.2x.to. 116 IN A 80.237.201.41 orion.2x.to. 116 IN A 87.230.54.12 orion.2x.to. 116 IN A 87.230.100.10 orion.2x.to. 116 IN A 87.230.51.65 I learned that not every ISP / device treats such a response the same way. For example some DNS servers rotate the addresses randomly or always cycle them through. Some just propagate the first entry, others try to determine which is best (regionally near) by looking at the ip address. However if the userbase is big enough (spreads over multiple ISPs etc) it balances pretty well. The discrepancies from highest to lowest loaded server hardly every exceeds 15%. However now I have the problem that I am introducing more servers into the systems, that not all have the same capacities. I currently only have 1gbps servers, but I want to work with 100mbit and also 10gbps servers too. So what I want is I want to introduce a server with 10 GBps with a weight of 100, a 1 gbps server with a weight of 10 and a 100 mbit server with a weight of 1. I used to add servers twice to bring more traffic to them (which worked nice. the bandwidth doubled almost.) But adding a 10gbit server 100 times to DNS is a bit rediculous. So I thought about using the TTL. If I give server A 240 seconds ttl and server B only 120 seconds (which is about about the minimum to use for round robin, as a lot of dns servers set to 120 if a lower ttl is specified.. so i have heard) I think something like this should occour in an ideal scenario: first 120 seconds 50% of requests get server A -> keep it for 240 seconds. 50% of requests get server B -> keep it for 120 seconds second 120 seconds 50% of requests still have server A cached -> keep it for another 120 seconds. 25% of requests get server A -> keep it for 240 seconds 25% of requests get server B -> keep it for 120 seconds third 120 seconds 25% will get server A (from the 50% of Server A that now expired) -> cache 240 sec 25% will get server B (from the 50% of Server A that now expired) -> cache 120 sec 25% will have server A cached for another 120 seconds 12.5% will get server B (from the 25% of server B that now expired) -> cache 120sec 12.5% will get server A (from the 25% of server B that now expired) -> cache 240 sec fourth 120 seconds 25% will have server A cached -> cache for another 120 secs 12.5% will get server A (from the 25% of b that now expired) -> cache 240 secs 12.5% will get server B (from the 25% of b that now expired) -> cache 120 secs 12.5% will get server A (from the 25% of a that now expired) -> cache 240 secs 12.5% will get server B (from the 25% of a that now expired) -> cache 120 secs 6.25% will get server A (from the 12.5% of b that now expired) -> cache 240 secs 6.25% will get server B (from the 12.5% of b that now expired) -> cache 120 secs 12.5% will have server A cached -> cache another 120 secs ... i think i lost something at this point but i think you get the idea.... As you can see this gets pretty complicated to predict and it will for sure not work out like this in practice. But it should definitely have an effect on the distribution! I know that weighted round robin exists and is just controlled by the root server. It just cycles through dns records when responding and returns dns records with a set propability that corresponds to the weighting. My DNS server does not support this, and my requirements are not that precise. If it doesnt weight perfectly its okay, but it should go into the right direction. I think using the TTL field could be a more elegant and easier solution - and it deosnt require a dns server that controls this dynamically, which saves resources - which is in my opinion the whole point of dns load balancing vs hardware load balancers. My question now is... are there any best prectices / methos / rules of thumb to weight round robin distribution using the TTL attribute of DNS records? Edit: The system is a forward proxy server system. The amount of Bandwidth (not requests) exceeds what one single server with ethernet can handle. So I need a balancing solution that distributes the bandwidth to several servers. Are there any alternative methods than using DNS? Of course I can use a load balancer with fibre channel etc, but the costs are rediciulous and it also increases only the width of the bottleneck and does not eliminate it. The only thing i can think of are anycast (is it anycast or multicast?) ip addresses, but I don't have the means to set up such a system.

  • jQuery .ajax call to bit.ly returns results in IE but not FF or Chrome

    I am trying to call to the bit.ly URL shortening service using jQuery with an .ajax call. <html><head> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.twipler.com/settings/scripts/jquery.1.4.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery.fn.shorten = function(url) { var resultUrl = url; $.ajax( { url: "http://api.bit.ly/shorten?version=2.0.1&login=twipler&apiKey=R_4e618e42fadbb802cf95c6c2dbab3763&longUrl=" + url, async: false, dataType: 'json', data: "", type: "GET", success: function (json) { resultUrl = json.results[url].shortUrl; } }); return resultUrl; } ; </script></head><body> <a href="#" onclick="alert($().shorten('http://amiconnectedtotheinternet.com'));"> Shorten</a> </body> </html> This works in IE8 but does not work in FireFox (3.5.9) nor in Chrome.
