  • Game engine with python scripting?

    - by Kayle
Looking to put together a 3D side-scrolling action platformer. Since this is my first time trying to put together a non-simple adventure game, I'm at a loss for which engine to consider. I would prefer one that supports scripting in python, since that's my primary language. Without tight controls, the game will suck... so speed is a priority. Cross-platform is also important to me. Any suggestions?

  • Converting a Table in Oracle Database into an XML file

    - by Geethapriya.VC
Hi, I need to create XML file, given a table/view in the Database. The actual requirement would be: The code has to get the table/view name as input parameter, read the schema of the same, create a corresponding XML file with the same structure as that of the table/view, and load the XML with the data of the table/view. Language preferred here is JSP. Kindly let me know how to go about this idea. Thanks in advance, Geetha

  • How can an IBM WebSphere MQ's Queue Manager's local queues be enumerated?

    - by Jean-Paul Calderone
I'm trying to write a simple tool for monitoring the state of a Queue Manager. One of the things I'd like to monitor is the current queue depth of each queue. I haven't been able to find a way to programmatically enumerate all of the queues on a particular Queue Manager, though. Do any of the MQ APIs provide this functionality? I'd prefer to do this with C, but if it's only possible with another language's bindings, I'd at least like to know that.

  • Method Vs Property

    - by obsoleteattribute
Hi, I'm a newbie to .NET. I have a class called Project, a project can have multiple forecasts. Now If I want to check if the projects has any forecasts or not should I use a readonly boolean property called HasForecast() or should I use a method named HasForecast() which basically returns a boolean value. From framework design guidelines I came to know that methods should be used when the operation is complex, since here I'm retrieving the value of forecasts from DB should I consider method, or since it is a logical data member should I use a property. If I use a property can I call a method in DBLayer from its getter. Please explain Regards, Ravi

  • How to calculate an IPv6 IP Number?

    - by Bram
I'm adding GeoIP tracking to WCF Web Service using MaxMinds' GeoIP Lite Country. All works well for their IPv4 database but they don't give any samples to calculate an IPv6 IP Number. I've contacted them and they said to use a search engine. Anyone have a sample they're willing to share? Any language will do.

  • Replicating multicolumn lists from the Django admin CSS

    - by mfalcon
Hi, I'm developing a Django project and I've to show a multicolumn list for the different objects of a table. I like the design of the django-admin for showing list-objects so I looked at the code to see how it works. As I am a CSS begginer the code seemed a bit difficult and extensive to comprehend. Is there a simplier way to make what I want or actually the CSS code of the django-admin is the path to follow?
