I have been hiding a row in a WPF grid by setting the Height property to 0.
I was expecting something akin to a Visible property.
Is there a more appropriate way to hide the row?
Thanks,
E

I am curious which one would be better fitting as a currency field ? I will do simple operations such as taking difference, the percentage between old and new prices. I plan to keep two digits after the zero (ie 10.50) and majority of the time if these digits are zero, I will be hiding these numbers and display it as "10"
Using the jQuery below to toggle the hiding and showing of divs of text: how would I add some sort of indicator - like an up and down arrow as a graphic - to the titles when the divs are either open and closed? What's the best way to do that? Two images? A CSS sprite? And most importantly: how would that be integrated into the JS?
I've looked at other jQuery that assigns a random number to each div and then determines which are open and which are closed and toggles one of two images. But I'm using php in a WordPress loop to show a posts, and that gives problems with incrementing in the loop, so there must be an easier way that doesn't require changes in the name of the title div. Thanks....
This JS fires the showing and hiding. Each div can be expanded and collapsed independently.
$(document).ready(function() {
$('div.demo-show:eq(0)> div').hide();
$('div.demo-show:eq(0)> h3').click(function() {
$(this).next().slideToggle('fast');
});
});
This is the HTML it works with:
<div class="collapser">
<p class="title">Header-1 </p>
<div class="contents">Lorem ipsum</div>
<p class="title">Header-2</p>
<div class="contents">Lorem ipsum </div>
<p class="title">Header-3</p>
<div class="contents">Lorem ipsum</div>
</div>
The CSS is arbitrary:
.collapser {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
width: 500px;
}
.title {
margin: 1px;
color: #fff;
padding: 3px 10px;
cursor: pointer;
position: relative;
background-color:#c30;
}
.contents {
padding: 5px 10px;
background-color:#fafafa;
}
Hi folks,
I want to make a a printable schedule as table with fixed height/width cells.
Cells contains names and i don't want that the names do line breaks.
Is there a way to dynamically adjust the font-size so that there will be no linebreaks or hiding text?
Maybe someone knows a good plugin or snippet for that issue?
I'm working on a website where I need to show/hide table rows. I got the feature working, but the CSS gets bad when I do show. I'm providing a working link; click the 'More...' link and see the action for an example. I'm using jQuery's toggle(slow) for hiding and showing
I have a bunch of images that are guaranteed to have:
minimum width = 200px
maximum width = 250px
minimum height = 150px
maximum height = 175px
What I want to do is display a consist 200px by 150px rectangle of the image while maintaining scale (no stretching or shrinking).
Which means, I might have some overflow.
How can I display the image so that it keeps porpotions to the original image size, yet displayed inside a 200x150 px window and hiding any overflow?
In PDF files it is quite easy to interact with form fields via the Javascript API.
Is it possible to do this (specifically showing/hiding) to arbitrary elements on a page? Say, not just form fields, but text, graphical elements, embedded images... Is there an API to interact with those?
If yes, how do I identify an object?

I have a list which has 5 columns in it. Some of these fields help the user fill in the data but I don't want the user to modify these fields.
I have tried changing the field to readonly but that ends up hiding the field completely from the form. Is there a way to get the field to render out to the form as just text?
Maybe I need to use javascript to disable the fields programmatically - would prefer not to go down that route though..
I display a mail composer view upon a tool bar button click event.
At present, I can display the email composer view but when it display it hides the tool bar. I need the toolbar to remain visible.
I have seen other apps display the email composer without hiding a toolbar but I can't figure out how they did so.
I am new to iphone development. Please help me out.Thanks.
Some Java APIs provide a large number of interfaces and few classes. For example, the Stellent/Oracle UCM API is composed of roughly 80% interfaces/20% classes, and many of the classes are just exceptions.
What is the technical reason for preferring interfaces to classes? Is it just an effort to minimize coupling? To improve encapsulation/information hiding? Something else?
Is there a way to tell if an element is either hidden or is currently in the process of hiding (via an animation)? The only way I can think to do it is to store a flag in the element's data when you call show or hide, but I was wondering if there was another way?
I would like to know if this is the correct way of hiding visible elements when clicked anywhere on the page.
$(document).click(function (event) {
$('#myDIV:visible').hide();
});
The element (div, span etc) cannot disappear when click event occurs withing the boundaries of the element.
I'm hiding a div using display:none and this div only shows when we click on + icon. but if JavaScript is disabled then I want to show that div by default on. How to do this?
I can't post whole code for now.
i m developing a application for administrative purpose, it's developed completly but now i m stuck with hiding process from taskmanager, because my application monitor the users activity and send reports to admin, i have hide the application but i m not able to hide the process from task manager.
Hi, i'm just starting prototype, i was on jquery before.
I can't find easy examples on the internet about how :
Selecting all elements having the same id on a page
(i'm doing this but it only works for the first element : $('mydiv').hide() )
Selecting a div that is contained in another div by their id.
hiding all elements that have myClass class.
I am trying to get have the lower part of list view slide down, by hiding an unhiding linear layout in list_item. The problem is the view seems to get reused in LayoutAdapter so that the change does not just effect the view I intended to apply it to. Instead it shows up wherever the view is reused. How can I restrict the drop down to just the view on which I requested the dropdown? By drop down I mean unhide the linear layout.
When I click File - Open on Report Builder, I can see a list of folders under Report Server Home root folder. But I don't want end-user to see any of the folders under root unless I grant them access.
I tried hiding and removing permission on the folders but they are still visible in the root folder.
The idea behind the question is -
Just say No! to C# Regions
It is said that "the reason to use #region tags because all the things they are hiding is just really bad code."
How do you use regions effectively?
I'd like to control visibility on a simple UI element. If it was a button, I'd just call setHiden on it, but UIImage has no such method.
What's the preferred way of showing or hiding an image? Just making it a UIButton and not hooking it up to any methods seems wasteful.. is that really the right way to do it?
Essentially, I just want to change the home button from just hiding my app to killing the activity that is on the screen.
I thought about writing a broadcast receiver that kills the activity, but I'm not sure how to kill the activity from the receiver.
How do I change the functionality of the home button to "finish" the specific activity?
Thanks
