  • How would I create a silverlight control for tagging content similar to StackOverflow?

    I am new to Silverlight. How would I go about creating a control for users to tag content. I would like it to work like it does it StackOverflow i.e. Autocomplete and when you press space it inserts the tag in a box with a remove button. I want the control to be bindable to a collection of strings. If someone can just point me in the right direction to get me started I would be very grateful.

  • Android: raise AlertDialog from background thread

    In my activity there's some stuff going on in a background thread, which gets started in Activity_1. The processing of the background thread takes a while and I want to notify the user when it's completed via an AlertDialog. However, the user might have changed to Activity_2 or Activity_3 in the meantime and I would like to pop up the AlertDialog always in the current Activity. Any idea how to realize this?

    When I look at the example of the user extensions of GWT-Ext I saw the Spinner as a user extension: http://www.gwt-ext.com/demo-ux/#spinner When I download the library from http://code.google.com/p/gwt-ext-ux/downloads/list (I downloaded the latest build -- 0.3.0) it does not appear to contain the Spinner class. Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to use it?

We do want the check to take place, but users have requested that we hide it. Is this possible to do, and if so, what can I tell my developers to do? (What direction should I point them in?)     Could someone enlighten me as to why including www in a ajax request causes it to fail. i.e. This works: $('#mydiv').load('http://mydomain.com/getitems'); But this doesn't (returns nothing) $('#mydiv').load('http://www.mydomain.com/getitems'); Note that www.mydomain.com/getitems is a valid domain, in the sense that if I point my web browser to it I am able to load the page.

It also allowed me to change the values passed to a function on the fly. I cannot recollect the name(not sure if that was free or commercial one). Could any one point to me solution that can do this?   • How to order actions in menus in Eclipse RCP

    If I add action within an extension point thus: <action class="com.mycompany.MyAction" id="mycompany.myaction.MyAction" menubarPath="actions" /> How can I control its ordering programatically? It looks like they are simply ordered alphabetically according to their ID. I don't want to have to give them names such as '001-z', '002-a', just to get 'z' to appear before 'a'. It would also be a nightmare re-ordering them later.

    Pretty simple question: when doing some pretty intense drawing with CoreGraphics on the iPhone, how can I specify the pixel format to get optimal performance? Is the format that I get from the context via UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext per definition the best one? I know that RGB565 is supposed to be the fastest to use in OpenGL. Does that go for CoreGraphics as well? General advice?

I recall seeing there was a method to use an existing custom theme as a starting point for a new theme - essentially importing the old theme so additional tweaks could be executed.
