Hi
I like to know why only void return type for main method in java.

Why there is no other return types other than void for main method.
Thanks
Hello,
is it possible to specify that a NSMutableArray can only contain a certain type of objects.
For example, if I want to store only this kind of objects :
@interface MyObject : NSObject {
UInt8 value;
}
In order to be able to use the instance variable like this :
- (void)myMethod:(NSMutableArray *)myArray{
for (id myObject in myArray){
[self otherMethod:myObject.value];
}
}
because I'm getting this error :
request for member 'value' in something not a structure or union
Thank you for your help

Hi, I'm writing a POS application for the iPhone/iPod combination, using the same exact hardware used in Apple Stores:: EasyPay.
Ok, my hurdle is this: how do I identify which credit card type is being used as text is entered in the uitextfield?
I assume I've to use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString:? However, I've got ideas floating around, but I simple cannot put them together to form code :/
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks in advanced :D
This exception is being thrown by the PostgreSQL 8.3 server to my application.
Does anyone know what this error means and what I can do about it?

I am using Entity Framework v4. I have created a POCO class that contains a bunch of scalar properties and a collection that returns an Interface type. How do I create this relationship in the EF model? How do I show a collection that contains different items but they all have a common interface?
For example, I have a struct which is something like this:
struct Test
{
int i;
float f;
char ch[10];
};
And I have an object of this struct such as:
Test obj;
Now, I want to programmatically get the field names and type of obj. Is it possible?
This is C++ BTW.
Hi,
Is there any way to detect the type of a webservice inside a httpmodule?
The reason for this is that I want to do some property injection to the webservice before
it's processed.
I found this:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/asmxandxml/thread/0e848eee-d353-4e67-b47f-89fddb600009
but that is one h..l of an ugly solution.
Anyone have a nice solution?
Hi.
I have interface IModule and several classes that implements it.
In test i need to create instance of each type(class) implementing that interface.
Is is possible(with StructureMap)?
I have created a custom field type and its working properly but when I am adding it on page layout ,its not displaying any data in there.I am getting data from one of the list.I have added that field in list and its displaying all the data I want to select but on page layout its blank.....
Any idea where i m getting wrong...?
I am trying to execute following query through PgAdmin utility.
CREATE TABLE svcr."EventLogs" ("eventId" BIGINT NOT NULL,
"eventTime" TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE NOT NULL, "userid" CITEXT,
"realmid" CITEXT NOT NULL, "onUserid" CITEXT, "description" TEXT,
CONSTRAINT eventlogs_pkey PRIMARY KEY ("eventId"));
And I get following error -
ERROR: type "citext" does not exist
SQL state: 42704
Character: 120
However, following query runs fine -
CREATE TABLE svcr."CategoryMap" ("category" INT NOT NULL,
"userData" INT NOT NULL);
What is wrong with the first query?
hi,
I need a sequence of text, image, video CCK fields, repeated twice in my content type.
I need to create 2 different groups (I don't want to use multi-upload functionality).
I was wondering if I have to create a new field Image - File Upload for the second group, or I can somehow to re-use the first one (which is already added, and I would like to add it twice in the second group as well).
thanks
Is there a way to reflect on an interface to detect variance on its generic type parameters and return types? In other words, can I use reflection to differentiate between the two interfaces:
interface IVariant<out R, in A>
{
R DoSomething(A arg);
}
interface IInvariant<R, A>
{
R DoSomething(A arg);
}
The IL for both looks the same.
I'm trying to use the sample code here:
I went to "Add Reference" dialog and added "Microsoft Word 12 library", but it doesn't appear in the Solution Explorer. I also added: using Microsoft.Office;
I get the following error message when trying to declare a "Word" object.
Error 1: The type or namespace name 'Word' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
Any suggestions on how to properly reference the Word library?
Why on earth won't this compile? Scala 2.8.0RC3:
Java
public interface X {
void logClick(long ts, int cId, String s, double c);
}
Scala
class Y extends X {
def logClick(ts: Long, cId: Int,sid: java.lang.String,c: Double) : Unit = {
...
}
}
Error
class Y needs to be abstract, since method logClick in trait X of type
(ts: Long,cId: Int,s: java.lang.String,c: Double)Unit is not defined
Can someone point me at what I should be doing under scala 2.10 in place of this deprecated type witness on Manifest?
reflect.ClassManifest.singleType(foo) <:< barManifest
Honestly, my goal here is just to replace it with something that doesn't raise a deprecation warning. I'm happy to use the new reflection API.
Here's the code in question in context, if that's important:

There are situations that we like to ignore a specific exception type (commonly ObjectDisposedException). It can be achieved with those two methods:
try
{
// code that throws error here:
}
catch (SpecificException) { /*ignore this*/ }
catch (Exception ex)
{
// Handle exception, write to log...
}
or
try
{
// code that throws error here:
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
if (ex is SpecificException) { /*ignore this*/ }
else
{
// Handle exception, write to log...
}
}
What are the pros and cons of this two methods (regarding performance, readability, etc.)?
Who can tell me the internal working mechanism of a CollectionEditor in plain English?
I have implemented every virtual function and step into each of them. Still got no clue of its intended algorithm. I searched the web and found tons of compaints about the CollectionEditor type, and even bugs.
I am kind of thinking of the CollectionEditor as a total mess.
I have an Entity Framework model using Table per Type Inheritance, but when I use a VS Data Generation Plan it produces duplicate keys in the child tables, which is a problem for EF. Does anyone know of a way to get this to work, so that the child tables do not have overlapping keys?
In my MSI package I need to set user rights to a directory using cacls.exe. It works fine in an NTFS environment but fails when run on a Fat32 file system. Is there a method to determine the type of file system of the drive the software is installed to?
I'm using WiX 3 to create my MSI package but any hint pointing to the MSI database would help as well.
Many thanks in advance.
