  This compiled on VS 2008, but it seems like non-standard usage of templates. template <class T> class Foo { public: void bar(Foo<int> arg) { // do some stuff here } // more code ... }; Is there an issue since the template specialization Foo<int> is contained within the definition of its own template class?

  The topic of algorithms class today was reimplementing data structures, specifically ArrayList in Java. The fact that you can customize a structure for in various ways definitely got me interested, particularly with variations of add() & iterator.remove() methods. But is reimplementing and customizing a data structure something that is of more interest to the academics vs the real-world programmers? Has anyone reimplemented their own version of a data structure in a commercial application/program, and why did you pick that route over your particular language's implementation?

• How to Instantiate ObjectFrame in VB.NET

  I am trying to reach methods and properties of ObjectFrame through vb.net. But when I declared this as Dim objOLEObject As ObjectFrame and then trying to instantiate it as ObjOLEObject = New ObjectFrame it shows error like: "429: Retriveing the COM class factory for component with CLSID {3806e95d-e47c-11-cd-8701-00aa003f0f7} failed due to the following error: 80040154" To resolve this we re-installed both MS-Office 2003 and VS-2005, but could not get the solution. Could anyone suggest me how to declare and use this in vb.net? Thanks.

What are your favorite Visual Studio keyboard remappings? Mine are motivated by the fact that I'm a touch-typist. Mouse, function keys, arrow keys, Home, End -- bleh. These are commands I do all day every day, so I've remapped them to sequences I can execute without moving my hands from the home row. The command that is remapped in Tools = Customize = [Keyboard] is shown in parentheses. I'm 100% positive that there are better remappings than these, so please post yours!   Edit-And-Continue is one of my favorite debugging tools which I have previously used on C# based Winforms and ASP.NET projects. However, I'm running a Silverlight 3.0 application on VS 2008 and whenever I try to make a change (after breaking) it says "Changes are not allowed when debugging Silverlight applications". Also there isn't an "Enable Edit and Continue" option in the project settings. Does anyone (possibly an insider) know when this feature will be supported by Microsoft??? (I NEED IT!)

  I have scripted my SQL server 2000 database and created it on a 2008 server. I update the database using a ADO .Net Dataset designed in VS 2003. My problem is certain tables that have identity fields don't have these fields as auto increment in the dataset? I could set these to auto increment in code, but this seams like a work around. Has anyone encountered this problem?
