  • Is it possible to get CCM Updates Schedule using Powershel or VBScript?

    I want to be able to check the CCM Updates Schedule as seen in Configuration Manager Updates tab. I've been looking around on google and I've not been able to find a consistent answer to this. I tried to create a COM object using UDA.CCMUpdatesDeployment. This allows me to successfully set the recurring schedule with SetUserDefinedSchedule method. If I try to use GetUserDefinedSchedule I only get the original values of the variables.     I have a fairly simple requirement -I have a table with the following (relevant) structure. with cte as( select 1 id,'AA,AB,AC,AD' names union all select 2,'BA,BB' union all select 3,'CA,CB,CC,CD,CE' union all select 4,'DA,DB,DC' ) i would like to create a select statement which will split each "names" column into multiple rows. For example the first row should produce 1,'AA' 1,'AB' 1,'AC' 1,'AD' Can we do it using only SQL. This is failry easy to do in Oracle.

    In our web.config I am using the following tag to determine the interface language of an ASP.NET website. <globalization enableClientBasedCulture="true" culture="auto:en-GB" uiCulture="auto:en"/> This works as expected: Client wo request a specific localisation get it, everybody else is happily looking at the en-GB settings. Due to company policy I need to change the date format to the ISO 8601 standard format (YYYY-MM-DD) for everybody. Is this possible at a central place in the web.config or do I need to change this manually in every instance? Addition: Would it be possible to do get this date format when restricting the interface to english? Thanks! =)

    We want to mirror our current production app server (Oracle Application Server) onto our staging server. As it stands right now, various things are out of sync, and what may work in testing/QA can easily fail in production because of settings/patch/etc inconsistencies. I was thinking what would be best is to clone the entire disk daily and push it onto the staging server... Would this be the best method...?

    After running chkdsk C: /F /R and finding out that my hard disk has 24 KB in bad sectors (log is posted below), I decided to run Windows 7's System File Checker utility (sfc /scannow). SFC showed the ff. message after I ran it: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log." Since the CBS.log file is too large, I ran findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (as per Microsoft's KB 928228 article) to only get the log text pertaining to the corrupt files.   • How to run a PowerShell script?

    Guys and Gals, a really stupid question: How do I run a PowerShell script? I have a script named myscript.ps1 I have all the necessary frameworks installed I set that execution policy thing I have followed the instructions on this MSDN help page and am trying to run it like so: powershell.exe 'C:\my_path\yada_yada\run_import_script.ps1' (with or withot --noexit) which returns exactly nothing, except that the file name is output. No error, no message, nothing. Oh, when I add -noexit, the same thing happens but I remain within Powershell, and have to exit manually. The ps1 file is supposed to run a program, and return the error level dependant on that program's output. But I'm quite sure I'm not even getting there yet. What am I doing wrong?

  • IE Mixed Content Warining when using https URLs and http:443 URLs?

    I'm getting the good ole' "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items." dialog in IE when connecting to an HTTPS site. No big deal... I've just got something coming in over a non-secure connection so that should be an easy fix, right? So I go into "View Web Page Privacy Policy..." to look to see where I've included an HTTP file, and this is what I see... https://blah/path/to/file.htm https://blah/path/to/file.js http://blah:443/path/to/file.css Um... ok... so... there is an HTTP only URL being requested, but it is going over port 443 ("https://blah/" is shorthand for "http://blah:443/") so... What is the deal with this!? IE 7.0.5730.13 can't possibly be THAT stupid, can it? Is there an IIS setting that needs to be tweaked?

    Running the official JSplitPane demo http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/splitpane.html on my Ubuntu system gives a resize cursor like -- over the divider. The behavior of native split panes gives <-- resize cursors. Does this qualify as a bug that should be reported to Sun (eh, Oracle)? Is there a workaround?

    I have a table called,tblClient with an encrypted column called SSN. Due to company policy, we encrypted SSN using a symmetric key (chosen over asymmetric key due to performance reasons) using a password. Here is a partial LIKE search on SSN declare @SSN varchar(11) set @SSN = '111-22-%' open symmetric key SSN_KEY decrypt by password = 'secret' select Client_ID from tblClient (nolock) where convert(nvarchar(11), DECRYPTBYKEY(SSN)) like @SSN close symmetric key SSN_KEY Before encryption, searching thru 150,000 records took less than 1 second. but with the mix of decryption, the same search takes around 5 seconds. What strategy can I apply to try to optimize searching thru encrypted column?

    I am getting the following error on my page: Security Exception Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file. The problem is with the following code SmtpClient mailClient = new SmtpClient("smtp.gmail.com", 587); What's weird is that when testing it at my localhost, everything works fine, but when I put it on my 1and1 web host it generates the error above. I contacted their support and here's their answer. We do check the error logs and the operation require a FullTrust environment which currently fall under restriction on .NET Framewor k What should I do?

  • Ajax call from Bookmarklet

    I am trying to create a bookmarklet that, upon clicking, would request some information from the user (a url and a couple other fields in this case) and then send that data to a php page on my server and then display the result. I would like to do an Ajax call for this so that I don't actually redirect to the new page, just get the data but I assume I would run into the "Same Origin Policy" limitation of Ajax.... is there any known way of basically doing the same thing? Also, what would be the best way to pass the parameters? I already have a mechanism in place to recieve the parameters as a post message from a form...is there any way I could just reuse this?

    On android platforms (confirmed on ICS), if a content provider dies while a client is in the middle of a query (i.e. has a open cursor) the framework decides to kill the client processes holding a open cursor. Here is a logcat output when i tried this with a download manager query that sleeps after doing a query. The "sleep" was to reproduce the problem. you can imagine it happening in a regular use case when the provider dies at the right/wrong time. And then do a kill of com.android.media (which hosts the downloadProvider). "Killing com.example (pid 12234) because provider com.android.providers.downloads.DownloadProvider is in dying process android.process.media" I tracked the code for this in ActivityManagerService::removeDyingProviderLocked Is this a policy decision or is the cursor access unsafe after the provider has died? It looks like the client cursor is holding a fd for an ashmem location populated by the CP. Is this the reason the clients are killed instead of throwing an exception like Binders when the server (provider) dies ?

But the problem is all individual panels are not shown inside root panel.
