  • ListView: Display data divided into groups?

    I would like to display the contents of a DataTable, divided into several groups depending on the value of one of the columns. So, if I have a DataTable (from SQL query) with: GroupID Name Description 1 foo bar 1 one two 2 some thing I would like to place all records containing GroupID 1 in one div, all records with GroupID 2 in another div, and so on. How can I do this? I'm writing in ASP.NET 4.0, with C# codebehind.

  • Sort MySQL result set using comparison between 2 columns of same value type

    Hello, I have a table containing last_updated_1 and last_updated_2 columns, used respectively for text and images update time on a post. I wish I could get a result set of 10 rows based on all time last updated records contained in the 2 columns, ex. row 1 = last_updated_1 record, row 2 = last_updated_2 record, row 3 = last_updated_1 record, etc. How could I compare inside a MySQL query the both columns values, to get unique & mixed result set ?     I have a table with my products and I'm trying to write a page that would pull bracelets with certain colors from the database. So here's what I have right now (in php): $query = "SELECT * FROM products WHERE (products.colors LIKE '%black%')"; But I only want to select rows where the value for the column "category" equals "bracelet". I've tried a few different things, but I keep getting warnings and errors. I appreciate any help you can give, thank you!

    HI One of my requirement is to have prefix on all the tables of the django based project (Because db is hosted on shared server). I have used db_table Meta option to set the prefix for the tables which I have created. Now my query is how do I set the prefix for tables provided by django.contrib. Instead of auth_group django should create prefix_auth_group.... How do I do that? Thank you very much...

I can obviously keep an autoincrement index and ORDER BY index. But i dont want to alter the table. How can i do this without altering the table?

For example, I need to retrieve a distinct list of property values for populating a drop-down list. Should I write a class and a mapping for the "entities" that are returned by this query? Or should I just use the native DB provider and work with native data sets instead?

    I want to find top rated item using AVG function in mysql, right now my query looks like this: SELECT a.title, AVG(d.rating) as rating FROM in8ku_content a JOIN in8ku_content_ratings d ON a.id = d.article_id ORDER BY rating DESC Problem is that it takes AVG of all items and the result is not accurate, what should be changed here to get correct result ? Tables: in8ku_content [id, title] in8ku_content_ratings [id, article_id, rating]

    I am trying to output a long XML result from SMSS. When I right click on the results and 'save results as...', I can only get a 2mb file? I have changed the settings in SMSS via Tools - Options - Query Results - SQL Server - Results to Grid, for XML data to be unlimited. Forever, it still seems to be truncating my XML results? So, how can I bypass this problem and output my XML result to a file? Thanks

    I'm trying to recreate a race condition in a test, so I can try out some solutions. I find that in the threads I create in my test, ActiveRecord always returns 0 for counts and nil for finds. For example, with 3 rows in the table "foos": it "whatever" do puts Foo.count 5.times do Thread.new do puts Foo.count end end end will print 3 0 0 0 0 0 test.log shows the expected query, the expected 6 times: SELECT count(*) AS count_all FROM `active_agents` Any idea what's going on here?

    I have an SQL query that has an alias in the SELECT statement SELECT CONCAT(YEAR(r.Date),_utf8'-',_utf8'Q',QUARTER(r.Date)) AS 'QuarterYear' Later, I want to refer to this in my group by statement. I'm a little confused...should I wrap this with backticks, single quote or just leave it unwrapped int he group by GROUP BY `QuarterYear ` or should I do this?: GROUP BY 'QuarterYear' or just this?: GROUP BY QuarterYear
