    Friday, March 12, 2010 1:18 pm. In windows -- and probably unix for that matter -- using the chdir() function in a (32-bit) program doesn't change the directory when the program exits. (It does in a 16-bit windows program.) Does anybody know how to do that in a windows 32-bit program?

  • Undead Windows 7 service

    I created a Windows 7 service in Visual Studio 2010. Test install crashed and left lots of debris: service shows in the list of services but will not start ('Referenced file does not exist'), is impossible to uninstall ('Action valid only for services that are installed') and is not shown in the Programs and Features aplet. Is there a list of installed services that I could hack? Thanks, Jan

  • Help with DateTime in format I need

    I am working with DateTime, trying to get date in the format like this: 03.05.2010-04.05.23 that is: dd.MM.yyyy-HH.mm.ss I'm using DateTime.ParseExact to try to achieve this (maybe wrong) So far I have: var dateInFormat = DateTime.ParseExact(DateTime.Now.ToShortDateString(), "dd.MM.yyyy.HH.mm.ss", null); But can't quite get exactly what I want. Basically I want to keep the 0, for example time is 05:03:20 PM I don't want it to show like 5:3:20 PM Any ideas?

    Hello, lets say, I have 28th of February 2010 and add one months to this date using AddMonths(1)...the resulting date is 28th of March, but not 31st of March, which I want. Is there a way to tweak that a bit so this works without adding custom code? Thanks!

    My Items table contains items with each item has a specific date. I want to generate a report that displays items between two different dates. For example, I'd put two timedatepicker controls so the user selects From: 24/9/2009 To: 19/3/2010 and then press a button to generate a report of items between these dates. I'm using Report Viewer control btw not crystal report.

    When use entity framework for DAL tier, VS 2010 can create edmx for each database. Question: If I have a database with many tables, should I create only one edmx for all tables or mutiple edmx files? for example, maybe all security tables for one edmx file, other tables for another edmx file. If there is more than one, then in other tiers, there will have more then on ObjectContext in code for business logic. Which one it the best solution for this case?

    Hello, I am trying to deactivate the annoying sound when clicking a link in WebBrowser control, WITHOUT changing the user registry. I've found documentation that this can be done through CoInternetIsFeatureEnabled, also explained here. But i have no idea how to implement it on Delphi 2010, since i am getting "Undeclared Identifier" error after including URLMon unit into the project and not much documentation out there. Any ideas?

Then using VS 2010, connected to the very same file (a mdf file) I run the query above and I get a success message. WTF!

    Hi, I do not uderstand why the result of: (DateTime.Now.Subtract(user.created_time.Value.Date)).Hours is 23. where: DateTime.Now is:{3/30/2010 12:00:00 AM} and user.created_time.Value.Date is : {3/24/2010 12:00:00 AM} Does it make sense for anybody? ps: I want to select all users created in last 72 hours so i suppose that is the way i should do...

    Is it good to add line-height in body{line-height:1.5} or it would be better if i add separately for tag by tag like p{ line height:1em} etc. Edit: body {line-height:in em} create problem with if we put image with float inside Edit: 24 April 2010: If i have to add different line heights to elements like p { 1.4} h1 {1.6} h2 { 1.2} ul li { 1.1} then shouldn't i use line height in body { 1.4} if body { 1.4} and h1 {1.6} then what would be line height for h1?
