  • Multiple SiteMap: entries in robots.txt?

    - by user306942
I have been searching around using Google but I can't find an answer to this question. A robots.txt file can contain the following line: Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemapindex.xml but is it possible to specify MULTIPLE sitemap index files in the robots.txt and have the search engines recognize that and crawl ALL of the sitemaps referenced in each sitemap index file? For example, will this work: Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemapindex1.xml Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemapindex2.xml Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemapindex3.xml

  • ASp.NET Dropdown and Dictionary

    - by Lijo
Hi Team, I am using a dropdown list in ASP.NET with C#. I am trying to bind a dictionary to the dropdownlist. How can we specify the "Text" (key of dictionary as Text of drop down) and "value" (value as Value) for the dropdown? Could you please help? Note: There is a constraint that a class should not be introduced for this purpose. That is why I am trying to use a dictionary. Thanks Lijo

  • Wordpress: Retriving posts of a specific custom category in a custom taxonomy

    - by Extrakun
I am able to retrieve all the posts from a custom category with this call to WP_Query $q = new WP_Query(array( 'taxonomy' => 'jh-portfolio-category', 'term' => 0, 'post_type' => 'jh-portfolio' )); However, let say within the jh-portfolio-category taxonomy I have defined some sub-categories, how do I specify I wish to have posts from a specific sub-category? Changing the 'term' property to the term_id as presented in wp_term_taxonomy doesn't seem to work.

  • Pickling a class definition

    - by Giorgio
Is there a way to pickle a class definition? What I'd like to do is pickle the definition (which may created dynamically), and then send it over a TCP connection so that an instance can be created on the other end. I understand that there may be dependencies, like modules and global variables that the class relies on. I'd like to bundle these in the pickling process as well, but I'm not concerned about automatically detecting the dependencies because it's okay if the onus is on the user to specify them.

  • Is there a reason why a base class decorated with XmlInclude would still throw a type unknown exception when serialized?

    - by Tedford
I will simplify the code to save space but what is presented does illustrate the core problem. I have a class which has a property that is a base type. There exist 3 dervived classes which could be assigned to that property. If I assign any of the derived classes to the container then the XmlSerializer throws dreaded "The type xxx was not expected. Use the XmlInclude or SoapInclude attribute to specify types that are not known statically." exception when attempting to seralize the container. However my base class is already decorated with that attribute so I figure there must be an additional "hidden" requirement. The really odd part is that the default WCF serializer has no issues with this class hierarchy. The Container class [DataContract] [XmlRoot(ElementName = "TRANSACTION", Namespace = Constants.Namespace)] public class PaymentSummaryRequest : CommandRequest { /// <summary> /// Gets or sets the summary. /// </summary> /// <value>The summary.</value> /// <remarks></remarks> [DataMember] public PaymentSummary Summary { get; set; } /// <summary> /// Initializes a new instance of the <see cref="PaymentSummaryRequest"/> class. /// </summary> public PaymentSummaryRequest() { Mechanism = CommandMechanism.PaymentSummary; } } The base class [DataContract] [XmlInclude(typeof(xxxPaymentSummary))] [XmlInclude(typeof(yyyPaymentSummary))] [XmlInclude(typeof(zzzPaymentSummary))] [KnownType(typeof(xxxPaymentSummary))] [KnownType(typeof(xxxPaymentSummary))] [KnownType(typeof(zzzPaymentSummary))] public abstract class PaymentSummary { } One of the derived classes [DataContract] public class xxxPaymentSummary : PaymentSummary { } The serialization code var serializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(PaymentSummaryRequest)); serializer.Serialize(Console.Out,new PaymentSummaryRequest{Summary = new xxxPaymentSummary{}}); The Exception System.InvalidOperationException: There was an error generating the XML document. --- System.InvalidOperationException: The type xxxPaymentSummary was not expected. • os.walk in python not running with cmd line parameter passed as path

    - by kartiku
Hello, I needed to find the number of files in a folder on the system. This is what i used: file_count = sum((len(f) for _, _, f in os.walk('path'))) This works fine when we specify the path as a string in quotes, but when I enter a variable name that holds the path, type(file_count) is a generator object, and hence cannot be used as an integer. How to solve this and why does this happen?

  • gcc - using -werror and -std= -pedantic considered good practice?

    - by Helper Method
I'm just digging into the gcc manual and some things are still unclear to me: a) When specifying a std, should I always use -pedantic in conjunction? b) When using -g, it the standard level sufficient or should I specify level 3, i.e. -g3? c) Is it good practice to use -Werror to promote all warnings to errors and -pedantic-errors to promote all pedantic warnings to errors?

  • PHP Filesystem Pagination

    - by Byron
How does one paginate a large listing of files within a folder? I can't see any functions in the PHP documentation that mention any way to specify an 'offset'. Both glob() and scandir() simply return all the files in the folder, and I'm afraid that won't be a good idea for a huge directory. Is there any better way of doing this than simply going through all the files and chopping off the first X number of files?

  • Hibernate custom join clause on association

    - by myso
I would like to associate 2 entities using hibernate annotations with a custom join clause. The clause is on the usual FK/PK equality, but also where the FK is null. In SQL this would be something like: join b on a.id = b.a_id or b.a_id is null From what I have read I should use the @WhereJoinTable annotation on the owner entity, but I'm puzzled about how I specify this condition...especially the first part of it - referring to the joining entity's id. Does anyone have an example?

  • Where clause in Fluent NHibernate Many-to-Many

    - by Adam Albrecht
I am trying to setup a many-to-many mapping in Fluent Nhibernate that has a where clause attached to the child table. This is basically how it should work: HasManyToMany(p => p.Images) .Table("ProductImages") .ParentKeyColumn("ProductID") .ChildKeyColumn("ImageID") .Where("ImageTypeID = 2"); The ImageTypeID column is in the Images table, but NHibernate is assuming it is part of the ProductImages table. Any idea how I can specify this? Thanks!

  • SQL exclude a column using SELECT * [except columnA] FROM tableA?

    - by uu?????s
We all know that to select all columns from a table, we can use SELECT * FROM tableA Is there a way to exclude column(s) from a table without specifying all the columns? SELECT * [except columnA] FROM tableA The only way that I know is to manually specify all the columns and exclude the unwanted column. This is really time consuming so I'm looking for ways to save time and effort on this, as well as future maintenance should the table has more/less columns. thanks!
